I'm a VFX Artist that wanted to create my take on the backrooms and focus on levels and aspects aside from the simple roaming around level 0 after just no clipping. This takes place after being stuck in the Backrooms for years, and 'the way out' is discovered.

One thing that makes this terifying is that in the pools there are normally a lot of people, but in the poolrooms aren't.

@@pinkbeast4371 it looks like they are in the dark blue tiles area, the entities are only in those specific areas. I think, this is something I heard from this UA-cam platform. So idk if it's true.

Is it weird that I feel relaxed in the poolroom instead of being scared?
Without any monsters chasing you, of course
poolrooms are a relatively safe level. It apparently does give a relaxed or calming effect on wanderer. But the deeper you go the more dangerous and darker it will be.

@@ftn5150 There are actually very few entities in the poolroom's danger zone. but only in the danger zone, other than that there are no entities, only an "entity" that is in the deep part of the poolrooms.

Your sound design is impeccable here! Especially the sound as your character pulls himself out of the water and we hear the cascade of dripping and splashing from the water coming off his clothing. Also, the way your camera view moves to where the character is looking in such a natural and fluid manner is wonderful! We see the character looking down at obstacles as he steps/climbs over them, as an example, and most animators don’t bother to do that. But it really makes the character’s experience more realistic and makes the character more relatable.
You nailed the fine details that really ‘sell’ a fictional world and encourage suspension of disbelief. Awesome work!

This is a fantastic pools video. Most others forget how slow we are trying to wade through water. This one is so accurate. Really loved that feature. And the sounds that went with it. Great work 👌

Great Job! Also, this is the first Pool level that I've seen which has convincing water sounds. The sloshing while walking and the dripping water noises, when the character leaves the water, add a lot to the realism of the video. Too often I see a Pool Level with decent visual appeal but unconvincing water noises which overall diminishes the the realistic effect.
This is really well done. I liked the way you incorporated the sounds of the water when the character moved around. I didn't see the corresponding movement of the water itself though. The movement of the character's camera was very natural.
Don't worry guys. Smilers can't leave the dark area
All we have to do is blitz the Backrooms, destroy the entities and have a sweet infinite pool party

We are actually working on making the Pool Rooms a real building and place to stay! But we need a lot of support for this!
Why just the pool room? Why not a while Backrooms complex as a type of "Haunted" house experience.

If your wondering the camera man is safe since he is in a pretty well lit area (since smilers only appear in pitch dark areas and stalk in dim areas)
This is the best levels in the backrooms really awesome to see it animated

Smilers are my favorite entity because if I was in the backrooms the smiler would scare me the most.

Second, the pitch black areas and the "lights out" phases would destroy my sanity. I wouldn't even have to encounter and entity. Just long enough in the dark and I'd be gone.

Good news! The entities in level 37 cannot exit the dark tile sections, so the smiler will not be a threat as long as he does get to close

It'd be cool to send a Drone with a canera on it to the backrooms and you could just move it around and explore.

like how in general, the most used entities for found footage are smilers and those things that look like cables with a human body

Uhhhhh. The poolrooms is a safe place to stay in but like you saw at the end. The dark area is dangerous to stay in cuz there is entity's in there and there not a huge smiler like that, there's some neon skeletons that try to attack you in the dark area, and they can hear you from miles away if you're not quite or something👍

I like to think that there's always a small chance of nonbiological matter noclipping back and forth between reality and the backrooms. There could be thousands of mundane objects that are actually from the backrooms, and no one would ever even know.
Like, ever lost something and no matter how hard you look you can't find it? Well, it probably noclipped and is gone forever.

Yes there are crates with supply but some can be dangerous

Yea you can starve. If you’re lucky you’ll find almond water (literally the best thing ever), safe cake in level fun (even though I wouldn’t try) or energy bars (but they’re mostly in level ! so that sucks)

There are entities in the dangerzones of the poolrooms (the entrances are the pitch black holes) so maybe that’s why a smilers there!!

the only way to encounter entities in level 37 is by going in a deep blue brick area, the normal cyan blue bricks area is safe of entities

Alright, the compliments are already done by the others.
Here's my problems with this:
1- The water only becomes dark when it goes deeper, but you display it to be darker without change of altitude.
2- There are no entities in the Poolrooms, except for the bactaria/plague that lives in the darker water and some unknown entity that is NOT a Smiler, so where'd the Smiler come from?

I imagine that it's technically possible but rare. Kind of like with how irl, there's areas in the ocean that sharks don't visit often, so are considered safe areas, but at times sharks still appear.
Smiler's could show up in a safe zone as long as there's a path of darkness which allows it's travel. But, I doubt most smilers would choose to do that, especially in this level, since once they get to the edge of the darkness, there's no way to get rid of the light. They'd just freak out wanderers into not going over to them
Something obvious is that a smiler is in this found footage, the place of the poolrooms is kinda dark, so it makes sense.
Missed out on the opportunity to call it Wetrooms 😏

This level used to have an area known as the danger zone where there were entities. However, the danger zone has been removed from the wiki and now the level is completely safe
the guys going to be totally fine because smilers are only able to stay in the dark
The poolrooms are kinda cursed because if you don't notice there are pool tiles everywhere even when there is no water

in the backrooms wiki, says the level difficulty class is 0, so, no entities.

@@Valox Smilers that it just appear was in the danger zone. Danger zone is classified as Class 4 (Unsafe, Unsecured, and High Entities Count). There is a main center which it’s located on the Safe zone; the good news is the you can find a outpost there called The Lifeguard and The Swimmers. If you have to enter the danger, you need to find one of the members called The Republic (They are extremely armed, but friendly. They can protect you from hostile entities.)
P.S Your video is very accurate and I love the poolrooms. It’s just that there are some areas in the poolroom that haven’t been explored according on this video.
