About the puzzle book : I figured first out that "N" isn't at the same place on map & location. So : 1- had the map displayed in full size 2- used "print screen" and made a screenshot of it 3- used a look-a-like Fotoshop and turned the pic 180° 4- then I turned it 10° more on the right 5- and voilà ! Book & map were "identical" ! 😅
Okay confession...I never played MID but I watched a small snippet of it on your stream back in 2021 and it DID inspire me to take a trip to Salem, MA even though the game was horrible. And now this game is inspiring me to go to Praha!! Good thing my family is planning on going next year! I'm getting hyped for it
On the modern vs classic navigation struggle, I intended to play the game entirely on classic, and I played a good chunk that way. But I kept getting really frustrated by trying to find the hot spots to navigate, especially in large areas like the squares, when turning corners, or after free-looking around. It’s not as clunky as the earliest games in the series, but it was annoying enough that I decided to try modern, and I think I like it better. Probably going to finish the game that way.
I definitely had the same struggle! Now that I have the mouse sensitivity where I want it, I strongly prefer the modern navigation. It's still a little awkward in tight spaces, but it's seems to be working much better.
See I found the book code puzzle easy and got it immediately, but I didn't realise you had to press in the middle afterwards to open the book, so then spent ages thinking i'd got it wrong, looking up the answer via hints and then working out you had to press the red N. I was so cross with it!
YES. I had several moments like that while playing where I basically had the correct solution, but was just missing a minor control or something similar. So aggravating!
Okay that book puzzle completely stumped me. I'm not good with numbers or directions and I was so lost. I spent ages trying to solve it and then I watched this part, asked the game for hints (which made me more confused) then I gave in and got the solution. Feeling like a real amateur sleuth right now 😂
32:14 Spoiler barrier I really appreciated that the outer ring had four sided shapes while the inner ring had eight sided shapes as a visual clue to the puzzle as well. 4+4=8, and so on. I was so proud of you when you finally cracked the lock, keep up the great work!
Good catch! It was the “inside” and “outside” of the map that helped me. Once I realized there was no way to look outside in those places, I knew it wasn’t about the room itself. Then I just had to draw the map upside down in my handy-dandy notebook.
I hope you do some BUILDING NANCY DREW in the SIMS 4 locations from this game or at least Prague Czech Republic inspired ND Sims 4 builds I miss those videos

Omigosh cool!! And this game is definitely giving me a better sense of Prague, so you'll probably be better prepared than with MID!
@@ryanpepper8188 yes!! Such a dream 😍 I’ve been to Alberta and LOVED it. But I went in the summertime. Gotta go in the winter!

I actually started with point and click and switched to free roam and love it! It's built for free roam definitely
Definitely agree! I've been playing with free roam for all the subsequent parts and it's working much better. Just took some getting used to!

Frank's sobbing in the corner.
Truly! LOL

Right?! I feel like the map just made things more confusing! I think the drawing should have been round to show the lock, not a map of the building.

Thank you!! That was a tricky one!

I've definitely been feeling inspired!
That book puzzle was super hard! I spent way too much time trying to use the book category numbers!
Yes!! Putting the numbers on a map of the Cafe was not intuitive in my opinion!!
0:06 Can you think of a time where you overloaded the sassiness levels? I think i'd like to watch that video
The Honest Review of Midnight in Salem is probably the sassiest! Also any of the "Everything I Would Change" videos!
Also one of my biggest issues so far with the game is the lighting. Something about the lighting feels odd to me. Am I the only one?
No, I've noticed some odd lighting things too! There's been some odd shading and sometimes just a complete and utter lack of shadow.
@@WizardKittenYT your game looks way deeper colored than mine (unless it's how it shows on my phone). It's duper flat and dull.
