Hmm. The GR performance intake “ptr03-18221” is about $650. It adds about 13hp “per dyno results somewhere in the /gr86 subreddit”. But damn this intake is NOOOOICE!

      Cant even feel 13hp...

@@louissenn9897 it’s a light car! Perhaps someone can. I enjoy the increased induction sound so if I get a few extra hp not bad at all.

Eventuri is the Akrapovic of intakes

Not sure why anyone would buy this over the Blitz/Gruppe-M, and that intake actually includes piping for ducting instead of "ramps." But I guess its never bad to have options...

Great question.… Why did they not connect the carbon air duct to the scoops like for example Gruppe M did.
Very simply - that is not good for airflow. The geometry required would have a sharp 90 degree turn to down the bumper and it would also increase the inlet track length which increases overall friction and therefore the drag of the intake.
By having a shorter intake length that opens onto the cold air area, which is saturated with ambient air from our scoops, we benefit from low intake temperatures while minimising resistance from drag and tight geometry.

@@86Speed, appreciate the further discussion and understand the premise, but it will be interesting to see if that translates to anything power wise vs a change based entirely on theory. We already know nearly all intakes perform about the same as the stock one with the carbon filter removed or in some cases worse, so there might not be a lot of extra benefit. The stock intake also benefits from lower IATs at speed when aftermarket snorkels (that are often 90deg) are implemented...

this one will be legally driveable in europe. The others wont. Anf the quality of Eventuri surpasses group m and blitz tbf

@@Sinancan93, Eventuri makes nice stuff for sure, but I'm not sure I'd say the quality surpasses the former two.

All I care about is numbers. Does it perform better than stock with the carbon filter delete?

Please hold while they use the shady manufacturer tactic of finding the absolute lowest baseline dyno when the car was cold and fluids were thick then compare it to dyno run number 118 when it performed its best dyno run. They can make those claims, cuz technically those are before\after results. Welcome to the world of aftermarket parts marketing.

I’d LOVE to see this for the VA FA20DIT Subaru WRX

An intake like this on a forced induction car would be a giant waste of money. I guess if you wanted style points, that would be the only benefit.
