Please explain the used term "reliable", because I'm Dutch and in translation it means you have an engine that gets driven to it's full potential for a long time and a lot of miles and does not break. Did this car do more then just a couple of Dyno runs?
@@rickd955 it's exactly as you wrote it, but modified street cars are not driven as aggressively as race cars. So for a street car 400whp is fine on stock engine. For a race car this may be a bomb after probably half a lap.
Ill be fa24 swapping mine within the next month. Waiting for harness to be done. I will be tracking NA for a few months. Have a Garrett G series sittin waiting.to be thrown on. Need a new jdl manifold and downpipe aswell.
In stock for with an oil cooler, aos and even a baffled oil pan and modified pickup, it still isn't reliable to track. After 1.5G of lateral grip the oil starvation because detrimental. Pretty much requires a .5L overfill just to compensate and even all that doesnt solve anything. Aftermarket radiator causes a pressure drop across the board because of increased volume making the oil starvation worse, accusump barely solves it and still isnt ideal. So to answer your question. It likely won't be reliable ever or at least for a long time. Unless you have dry sump money which, or the turbo kit just magically erases that major problem. No. It won't ever truly be a reliable race car. Now if you keep it on some lower grip tires and stay off like super 200tw and maybe stick to enduro 200tw like valino vr08gp, or hankooks, or accelera 651s even, and dont add downforce, youd probably still be slow enough to stay withing that 1.5g threshold and still push the car very hard
@@ScrewUserNames6587 definitely hankook rs4 max if you want to maintain reliability. I track the car pretty heavily but haven't added crazy downforce or super 200tw on 255s, but i can definitely see it being a problem.
thanks for the great content, seriously showing the what your guys Kit can do! i cant wait to order from you guys! Awesome to know that ur local to AZ as well
Can you do some track days in the car and constantly monitor everything on the car to give us a gauge on how reliable it is tracking it and dailying the car over time?
I know the new VB engines on the wrx have hit 600hp on stock internals that's the limit so far. So i think these can at least hit 450-500hp before it goes. Arent they the same engine?
The FA24 engine is fantastic but ... Be mindful of the transmission and torque. Both BRZ/86 and WRX transmissions are a split case design with very weak gears.
Finally some new GR86 turbo content! :)
Need 93 octane numbers. Thats all we have here in the North East. I want this kit!
A reliable 400WHP on stock motor is awesome for a street car, now lets see if that stays true for track use.

Thanks for documenting it. I think it's very valuable 🚗💥💨🔥
Moreso than just peak numbers, im very impressed by how linear that curve is on the dynograph. Seems very driveable and tender on components

Im the one looking for the 91 pump dyno test but this is cool and on my list to do in the future.
Lmao same
Would love to see 450 whp on this motor!
vb wrxs are doing 400-450 all day. I’d imagine the 86 would be close.

What wing is that, love the style id just want it to sit lower
My favorite GR86 on the road😍 perfect taste in mods, not slammed, AND turbo? This is the way right here🫵
Why haven’t you posted in almost a year?!!?
Can you dyno it on on 91 or 93. Would love to see thise numbers
450 whp sounds scary on factory internals. Id be comfy around 375 or 400 if I was feeling froggy. If I had a motor to spare maybe id go for it.
Curious to see what it makes on 91 pump
I would absolutely love to see a 91 octane tune
whats all the mods done? did you guys install a forged block?
Any hopes of the price coming down?
More ND content Jesse 🙏
For anybody wondering how much it makes on 91 octane with the same turbo kit at 9 psi the answer is 325whp
Thank you so much! Did you have to get a stand alone fmic or were you able to tune the standard ecu?
@@Darth_Fader9888 ECU Tech allows you to have four different tunes at the same time
AWESOME!!! ✌🏽❤️✊🏽
Love the video! Thanks! dont forget to blur that speedo :D
Lets Go!

what brake kit are you running?
without injectors, stock, is 93 or 91 better?
What body work have you done to your car?
this my car next. after seeing this on road, after selling my eclipse i didnt know what i wanted this is it. sorry evo.
Do you guys plan on making an unequal length turbo manifold for this kit?
Their video about the kit details says it is already unequal ua-cam.com/video/TeK2B9odra0/v-deo.html
The kit currently comes with an Unequal length manifold. We will have an Equal Length option very soon though
Really?! The turbo must really tone down the rumble on these 2nd gens.
It does. But it helps you hear the turbo spool and bov
is there a catless setup option?
What spoiler is that ?
Nice❤
To be honest if you don’t plan on racing no one and you just want a fun lil car 350whp is all you need
Wanna see how much u can get out of it on 91
Got weed?
@kevind_53 I agree thank you for this to everyone involved
