As someone who made a soulfist on the jumpstart server to just test it out.... bruh this class is mad frustrating lol. But at least I know now this class might just not be for me. Not to mention apparently you need a min of 1600+ spec for RS to feel good and you get like 1420 spec from the express.
Energy overflow is one of the hardest classes
id play energy overflow. dude soulfists are actually insanely strong right now. top 3 up there with glavier and sharpshooter. I'd 100% stick with it if you like the aesthetic and class
1600 spec is still too low for rs. i legit think you need 1800 spec for less downtime aids.
@@DavidSchleigh I do enjoy the aesthetic of soulfist* a lot. I can give EO a shot, but that hype management scares me. At least with RS you can go hype then take a nap till you get it back.
Do u really start with just 1420? I think you might be missing pet buff. You can change your pet buff to spec
Soulfist is my main alt at 1540 and honestly i wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless youre a giga hardcore dragon ball z fan then yeah go for it. RS needs 1700 spec minimum and cant run any budget engravings so that'll cost you around 100k gold minimum. EO is like the hardest class because of hype management and it also needs very high quality, around 1700 swift so its also not cheap. But if you really love the class stick with it and you will never regret it
Only a few can yeild the legendary soulfist.
SoulFist is balance around end gear which mean new low paying player will struggle to keep the dps in raid so you will get gatekeep more often as well. New player lack mechnical skill, knowledge, gems, tripod, cards etc.. all these little things add up and for a burst unit, it much more punishing compare to aeromancer for example.
im Soulfist main. not because of the balance patch. because i love the class and for me "its easy to use" . so idk what other people say. just get good on SF usage. imma use it till endgame ^^.

I'm not totally new, but I made Soulfist first on jumpstart. Then I saw that I have to learn different combos for Hype 0, 2 and 3. Then I saw that it will be clunky anyway because even with the express I'm 200 swiftness away from the lowest breakpoint that actually feels ok. Then I actually tried using it during raids. let's say it's my alt now.
soul fists are insanely strong. top 3 dpses. if you like the class. id stick with it test out energy overflow if robust feels too clunky for you.
most spec builds feel terrible early on anyways
on top of that with the acceleration. you'll get to end game so quick and you'll get to reach that sweet sweet soulfist peak earlier
@@DavidSchleightrue that. You get full lvl 7 gems at 1540 and some lvl 8s at 1580. Do some horizontal and you’ll be able to have one of the best dps classes in the game in no more than 3 months. I’ve been hard grinding on jumpstart and already can have 1750 swift or spec for robust and overflow. Once I get full lvl 7s for proper and optimal rotations, it’s gonna be a blast
Soulfist is my main and I love it, but I don't really recommend it for anyone even for my guildmates when there are new passes being given xD It's really hard to play and I don't know who'd keep enjoying to play it since people are get frustrated just by doomsdays and surges not crit.

Just because you don't know how to play SF, don't mislead new players ffs. I know that this video is 4 months old, but never suggest to anyone what to play, because SG can easily nerf all your favorite classes and buff all fighters than you don't play....
Right now, new ESO WD > EO SF > ... > Glaivier... glaivier is just bad.
If you know how to do proper rotations with EO SF, sf is the best dps class out there and can do as much or way more dmg than other dps classes.
Soulfist is probably the worst new player friendly class in the game benefits from extensive boss knowledge you wont have and requires some high breakpoints that only really come online very late in the game, otherwise it feels like complete ass to play until very late gearing.
Not really. I would argue Reaper and Deathblow Striker are far worse for a new player at this point. All spec classes require extensive boss knowledge because you need to know and take advantage of those short burst windows to juice them up.
Also, RS SF can now be easily played with the other ultimate. It deals about 10-15% less damage, but it is not crit dependent and it is harder to miss. Unlike what most people think, World Decimation awakening makes up about 15-20% of a RS SF's damage. Most of your damage comes from your normal rotation which is not hard to execute.
@@Kalimdor199Menegroth brother i main RS SF for years+, if u dont run spirt bomb ult just dont bother with soulfist especially now after the buff its very often now your 2nd highest dmg skill in a fight and does 15-20% of your dmg in a fight on current endgame content. It even does up to 50% of your dmg in shorter fights/overgeared content. Dps shows this over many logs.
@@bellor123 Been playing this game since it was first released and mained SF since day 1. Before the actual balance patch, it was Spirit Bomb or nothing. After the actual balance patch, the other ultimate has been buffed by 15%, on top of the buff coming from the engraving + Hype 3. The difference in damage right now between the bomb and the ray is 10-15% provided that your bombs crits or don't miss. But if one bomb does not crit or misses, you deal more damage with the ray. Tested it out both in Trixion and in real raid, including Akkan. In shorter fights yeah, you take the bomb because you can finish them faster. But nobody does statistics based on what damage you do at Valtan, Vykas, Clown or Brel right now. These are obsolete content which you are well overgeared and you can one shot solo some of them.
Even benji said that right now, the second ultimate is quite good and not a bad option for RS SF. And for good reason. Of course, there is a trade off. With Spirit bomb, your ceiling is higher. With ray, your ceiling is lower, but the floor is higher, i.e. more consistent. It actually feels good to get that MVP Cruel Fighter with ray rather than missing or not criting a bomb and have someone else take it.

Also getting any soulfist advice from benji is an automatic disregard, he is trash at soulfist he is just a content creator with no actual idea about the class past surface level. Bomb with support buffs + atro gaps laser by so much its not even funny. If you are missing bombs its almost always a skill issue.
@@bellor123 Benji is among the few SF main streamers and one of the best at playing this class. Also, it is not about getting advice for him, but testing it. The guy been playing this class longer than you've been alive. Bomb with support buffs + atro if no crit < Ray under similar conditions, but not dependent on crit. Tested this myself. You need too many conditions to make that shit work and 50% of the time you miss it. Which is why, in late game I swapped to use ray instead of bomb and noticed more consistency. Missing bombs is not a skill issue, but part of the char design. The high ceiling comes with that long channeling which was designed to be a hit or miss awakening skill. As such, you are lucky if you hit 50% of the time and you are lucky if you crit it half the time. Go play WoW or some other kiddy shit.
There is no SF main currently playing this game who has no missed at least half the time his bomb. The less we speak about it criting or not, the better. I tested this in Akkan hard mode by the way. Not in any run of the mill raid. Ray > Bomb in certain conditions.
