Great dupes! I feel sorry for those who don’t craft and end up buying things at full price. The flipping of the book covers is genius. You’re the first person I have seen do this trick. As the saying goes, We learn something new every day. I just learned from you about this book cover flip. It blows my mind the simplest things we don’t all know or think about that is staring us in the face. I love all of these dupes. Thank you. ☺️❤️ February 1, 2023
Love watching you crush the Pottery Barn rip-offs. Reversing the dust jackets was brilliant & I loved the texture of the "flour" vase (pun totally intended). The pitcher was beautiful, too---keep up the good work!
Ok Sister…blown away by your last three dupes. I was thinking, ohhellno on the flour frosted vases, but ya know what…you showed me. Turning the book covers inside out….,priceless. And the artwork of your Christmas shed. I loved that one the most. I want to do this to every picture on my phone 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹. Rhonda girl 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and here’s a few claps for the Hub….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻and the kitties 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙀. 😘😘😘
I love the dupes you did, especially the frosted vase! It was so stunning. I love the hack for turning your book jackets around, I never thought of it!
What a great video. Your fun personality was on display....I have been watching your videos for a short time, but I can see the difference from your earlier videos, it's nice! Blessings
Cute ideas! The book idea is genius! 👍🏼For the bleached picture frame, you could take apart a dollar tree canvas and use the wood frame. It would be a closer match to the more modern style Pottery Barn frames and you wouldn’t even have to bleach the wood. Maybe just a light sand and sealer would make it look more polished than the raw frame. 👍🏼
The new fireplace wall is gorgeous!! Your dupes were spot on, great job! I always enjoy seeing your marmalade kitty, he reminds me of my favorite boy who passed a couple years ago.
Hi, thanks for your projects. You gave me some good ideas. For the frosted glass, even if you are not sure how much glue you added, I would give an approximate amount (it looked like a table spoon) so we don't waste materials. And for that frosted glass project, I would put the flour in a small strainer and dust the vase with it like you frost/sprinkle powdered sugar on cookies. I think it will be more even. You could also tape off diamonds and use the frost technique. That would look very nice.
Wow! This is a great idea for the pillow. You knocked it out of the park- especially the crazy price difference. This gave me some more ideas too. Love fireplaces with all of their coziness. All of these are amazing. Hello sweet kitty in the sink lol. The shed though ... Love it 💗💗💗
I print new spines with a victorian design for books so I can still tell what they are. Hadn't thought of the dust jacket trick, will have to try that.
You just saved me from buying glass paint. Planning to have my Sunday School students paint the little vases you get syrup in when you order pancakes at Cracker Barrel for Mother’s Day flower vases. Thank you so much!!! They are going to love making those, especially sprinkling on the flour.
Hi! Just found your channel and I can't wait to watch more of your videos. I really love the picture you made using Inshot!! I can't wait to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing the dupes. New subbie here. :)
Your fireplace is beautiful. I really enjoyed all of your dupes today. The candle holder is stunning. I don’t expect anyone to know all of the sewing terms. I sure don’t. I was really impressed that you sewed the entire pillow by hand. We see a lot of hot glue on channels now. Most people don’t want to take the time. I understand that it’s completely different when filming compared to what they may do if they weren’t filming but isn’t that what editing is for? I think when you take the extra steps when creating you get a very different and much better result. Sewing instead of gluing takes it from a craft project to a very nice home decor item we would purchase in a store. Now that what I call high end. Plus I’m sure there are followers that might want to learn how to hand stitch or sew. Btw I’m not knocking projects made with fabric hot glue. I’ve made a few myself. I’m only saying it’s refreshing and impressive that you took the extra time to hand sew yours. 👏🏼Thanks so much for sharing.
I just found you and I love your work. I would like to request on your dupes that at the end of each one ,that you put the inspiration and your dupe side by side. I enjoy watching dupes by aot of the crafters and I have only found one person that does the inspiration and dupe together. Thank you and God Bless .
Rhonda, these are all so pretty! Love them all! I just can't believe the price differences! Wow! Off subject a little......I've heard the laser engravers are quitting on everyone. Have you had problems with yours?
@@thedistressedprincessdiy I think I bought mine on Amazon. I don’t know if it would work on such textured fabric, but it is fantastic on regular fabric.
Those are all gorgeous!!! I just wish you explained a little better…I don’t see, so I’m not sure what stitches you were doing. And not having a better measure of glue to mix with the paint threw me off because you said a lot but it didn’t look like much. They are all magnificent! I would love to make a couple!
I love your pillows but my dear...you can pick up a portable little sewing machine at most thrift stores...I got mine Singer with even a instruction book for under $20
😂😂 don’t feel bad calling it potty barn… I called it pottery porn!! 😂😂 anyways, I absolutely love love love when you do your dupes!! They all look so beautiful and high end.
Love your videos but you should NEVER soak bleach into a stainless steel sink or bowl etc, as chlorine will attack the protective layer that makes stainless steel truly stainless. Any drain cleaning products containing sulphuric or hydrochloric acid will also attack the sink

I may be a little late but I would love to see more thrift flips with a vintage inspiration 😊❤️
Great idea!!

You can also use iron on hem tape which will save you some time on hemming a pillow.
Hi Jessica! Yes definitely would save time. 💗
😊
Love, love, LOVE them all!!!

Thank you so much Melody. I use hot glue for some fabric things but this one just felt like I needed to sew it. 💗

Ok😅o l😅ol😅o😅li. Okay ok

Excellent. ❓. Did you seal the glass after it dried .
Hi Christie! I didn’t because I was afraid it would take away from the frosty effect. 💗
Rhonda, these are all so pretty! Love them all! I just can't believe the price differences! Wow! Off subject a little......I've heard the laser engravers are quitting on everyone. Have you had problems with yours?
Thanks Bernadette! I haven’t used mine (xtool M1) since Christmas but it was working fine.
Nice!!
Thanks!💗
Have you tried the fabric hot glue for the pillows?
Hi Kristin! I’ve never been able to find it. Where do you buy it?
@@thedistressedprincessdiy I think I bought mine on Amazon. I don’t know if it would work on such textured fabric, but it is fantastic on regular fabric.
I love fabric hot glue check hobby lobby
Thanks I will check!
I had trouble finding the inshot free app. Can you provide link? Thank you. Love your dupes
Hi Pat! Here’s the link
play.google.com/store/apps/details?cat=-1&id=com.camerasideas.instashot&hl=en_IN&gl=US
These are great! One question: do you seal up the colored glass so the flour stays on?
I didn’t only because I was afraid it would take away the frost effect. You could try it 💗
Do you spray the vase with clear sealer? Loved your videos. Stumbled across your channel!! 😀
Hi Shelly! I didn’t because I was afraid it might take away the frosty effect, but you could try it. 💗
Those are all gorgeous!!! I just wish you explained a little better…I don’t see, so I’m not sure what stitches you were doing. And not having a better measure of glue to mix with the paint threw me off because you said a lot but it didn’t look like much. They are all magnificent! I would love to make a couple!
Oh thank you Becky. I’ll try to work on doing better. 💗
Love!!!
Thank you Vicki 💗
What a clever way to "recover" books

Great dupes. I don’t see so I will be using hot glue to put the pillows together.
Hi Carol! That’ll work too. 💗
I love your pillows but my dear...you can pick up a portable little sewing machine at most thrift stores...I got mine Singer with even a instruction book for under $20
Thanks Sheila! 💗 I’ve never seen one at my goodwill, but I have thought about buying this toy one I’ve seen some other crafters use 😂
