Thank you! This happened to me while trying to fly at a corporate event today. The drone tried to do a firmware update and the battery bricked. Your process fixed it. I really appreciate you uploading this video. You're a Rockstar! Thank you!!!!
Thank you it worked for me I was stuck with this battery in the on position for about 3 days didn't know what to do I was about to throw it in the trash. You save me a bundle of money thank you once again!

My battery did this at 1/4 charge. DJI app won't update the firmware unless half power remaining. I tried setting to factory default and then tried to charge, but the charger thinks it full. Any help would be appreciated.
Plug it on to the Charger even if the lights don't show it's charging it will charge the cells to the point that you will be able to do a firmware update.
Good info if you have any amount of life. Unfortunately for me this battery sat too long without being used or charged and now it is a nice looking paper weight.
i have a mavic pro battery and it flashes the middle 2 led light but in my case the lights are not forever on, they are on for about 12-15 seconds and off for 1 second and when i insert it in the drone, the drone does not start up as in your case. I also tried clearing PF thourgh dji battery killer software and CP2112 but no luck. PF are not being cleared. what would be the problem?
I recommend letting it charge for a couple of hours then press and hold the battery button as if you are powering ON the drone without installing it in the drone. Then the battery should go solid green and start flashing, let the flashing end then charge it again and insert it in your drone to see if it helps.
Thank you, the problem I face is my fairly new battery light keeps blinking nonstop, I know my drone need to be updated the last update I haven’t go a head with, would you recommend me trying this method?
My problem is the battery is fully charged. Once I press the power button the ring turns green for 5 seconds and shuts off. The drone does not turn on. Any thoughts?
Question: I have a Dji Mavic 2 -I havent flown the drone in over a year. When I went to charge three of my Mavic 2 batteries. one would charge the other two did not respond .... There is no green light. ( they are like a brick ) is there a way of rejuvenating a what appears to be a dead battery? thank you. Steven in NYC
Leave the Dead battery on charge for 24 hours if it didn't revive it means either the controller board, or the cells are bad. In this case software fixes will not help you and you need to get a another battery.

In situations like that the only solution that I can think of is replacing the battery. Most of the time the batteries are under factory warranty so make sure to contact them before purchasing a new one. Also, there were some factory recall on certain serial numbers. So check to make sure yours doesn’t fall into that category. If it falls in to the recall category, it will be replaced free of charge by the factory.
I never had that problem with my Mavic 2 battery, but I did have the same exact issue with my DJI Phantom 3 Battery. So I updated the battery firmware and the problem was fixed. This happened to me 3 years ago.
@@minhnhattran6082 You need to update the firmware on 3 things, the Battery, the Remote Control, and the Drone, Also get the latest DJI Smartphone app.
First try to clean the contacts on both the drone and the battery pack, if that doesn't fix it you will need to send the battery to DJI for warranty repair service. I don't recommend taking it apart because it is very dangerous.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 I meant the LED light is on but it doesn't power the drone when I insert it Also, I thought the battery was in a hibernation mode so I left it overnight but nothing changed
@@samuelcarter9077 The battery pack can go bad chemically or electronically. The electrical problems can occur due to incomplete or failed firmware upgrade attempts, or component failure on the PC board inside the battery pack, regardless of the battery age. The chemical issues could be due to excessive heat, physical damage to the cells, cell swelling, overcharging, and cell age. So this might be an electrical issue on the battery board or a firmware issue, not a cell issue since the battery is almost new.

It seems like a defective battery control board, try the firmware update if that doesn't work you will need to replace the battery in my opinion.
