Having a physical battery disconnect switch is such a unique and extreme idea. I think it's a first! Anyway, great video-I really like the direction your channel is going, from radios to tilt trailers, track loaders, and phones
Thanks, I realize it’s not a pattern that’s good for the algorithms and for growing my channel… but that not my purpose. I’m wanting to share things I find interesting and intriguing.
Welcome! Please keep sharing what you find interesting and intriguing-just love hearing about it. I'd also love to see your channel grow, which I believe it will!
Awesome video. So I have always owned iPhones until today. AT&T is my provider called tech support and spent half the day with them. So I took the Sim card out of my iPhone and put it in the unplugged phone. My phone works. Everything works on the phone except my email when I was asked to pick imap or pop3 for the email I selected IMap but the guy that was helping me for AT&T, could not help me fix my email issue. It won’t send email or receive email and he gave me some numbers for inbound server outbound server but can’t tell me how to get into the phone to install this numbers so my email doesn’t work as I am not tech savvy so can you give me some advice? Not sure why you cannot ask support for information on how to install email as I did ask them this morning. They are busy but 6hours later I got a response that said contact AT&T.
We’re not all criminals nor are we all nefarious out here, but I myself am just sick of all of the fucking ads, commercials, pop-ups, continuously being advertised to in general, and being tracked and people making money off of me and me not seeing any bit of it. Just like for instance, I might not know if somebody’s watching me take a shower through my window , If I don’t know they’re doing it no harm right? Difference here is that I know it happens to me and not only just me.
The problem with all of these, unplugged, the silent circle blackphone etc is that they are android based. It's well documented how many back doors exist to harvest data or break in and what google can really see. You simply need a Blackberry running BB10.
@wanderer397 "Built over" but not proofed. All google products have backdoors for marketing and data collection. Secretly bundled and collecting data that we usually find out out about 5-10 years after the fact. If you'd like know more read about the paper "trusting trust" that won an alan touring award. Google has that concept at its core. Android is free, but not true open source. The person who truly cares about privacy doesn't care about little gizmos and games. Use Windows mobile, blackberry 10, even webOS thats linux based would be more secure.
Here's something that you might not know about the up phone, both the hardware and software was developed by a up data chat group and what they ask for on and in the up phone
Hi Jackson! Good to hear from you. Nope, I didn’t see any emails, I’ll double check though. Did you send it to the address on the card I gave you? Would you please try re-sending it?
If it plays Genshin I'm sold. Edit: it is not about others knowing what you are doing. It is about not allowing the corporation you paid money to to record everything you do and sell it to advertizers so they can clog your news articles, as well as train AI models based on your data and sell them as services to you and other customers. If they need your help as a test subject they must ask you and pay you. Not have complete access to your data. And it doesn't stop there. What if an entire company secretly has videos of you and your wife "doing it" in the car? How about they take down your entire cloud storage because you took a picture of your naked son to show to his doctor for analysis reasons (true story and it was nothing pervy). These things have happened in the past. Also there's things like your contact number getting stolen and getting a call by scammers, or an email to a porn site. This phone is for those who want to use a phone but don't want to agree to the terms and conditions of companies, as well as not getting scammed or bothered at the very least.
did a bunch of research - like Wisephone better...a bit less privacy focused in their marketing, but a bit more established + lower price point. (and actually do have private data).
Not sure if my comments are sending or not so sorry if you keep getting notifications from me. My comments seem to just disappear. But yes I double check the email and resent it. Let me know if you got it.
Is this just a skin on android that doesn’t really do much? I want an actual custom os and hardware with security first and kill switches for the mic, camera and most importantly and what this phone does not have: a kill switch on the gps. And the kill switch has to be on the exterior of the phone like apples silent mode switch. 3 separate switches that physically disconnect the wiring even when the phone is on. (This phone claims to disconnect only when the phone is turned off if it even does that). Unless I’m using the camera or sending a vn the switches stay off. When I need to drive somewhere the gps gets connected. When I pull up it’s off. And the phone should have the option in settings to give you a notification to turn it off when you finish certain tasks in case you forget which will happen over time. A software that actually tells you when apps are tracking you even when you clicked dont track and a way to turn the tracking off on the software end is another great addition to privacy hardware.
Apple has deactivated my account and confiscated my cloud. They won’t tell me why and continue declining my requests to reactivate. So I’m looking for something like this
This phone, if successful, will be bought by millions of people just like you-those that have nothing to hide but like the option-and also millions of criminals having plenty to hide and needing the option. We need reform when it comes to data usage by the Big Tech, not some niche product that will be abused all over the place.
So true, but I’ve nothing to hide from them, I’m just sick and tired of marketing companies tracking me without my overt permission, that’s my personal attraction to this phone.
We need a law that requires the phone makers to PAY US when they sell our data !!
More laws are not the answer. That's how the state gets more power.
@@tylertripp618 THere is no alternative.
Give us the phones for free. That should solve it. And also pay us 😂
@@samuelllakaj5439 lol
No we need a law to base America's economy on actually making stuff not selling data and treating sick people instead of cures.

How is the Up Phone working for you? Can you give an update?
But how much does it worth

Blackberry BB10 was an OG OS of all time back in the day
@AdventureCruiser How do you like it so far? Is the os intuitive enough to casually switch from Android or Apple?

I just simply want to have CONTROL over MY phone.
You pretty much just wrote the best ad for their company, "even though you don't have nothing to hide, get control back with the unplugged phone,"
Thanks, I appreciate that. And that’s exactly how I feel.
This should be everyone’s mentality in my opinion.
How do you like it?
@@jamessteers it’s fantastic. I just took it to Indonesia and loved having a little greater sense of peace.

I have an Google pixel 6A with GrapheneOS which is better than the Unplugged phone
It’s a honeypot for the Feds
Is this one of another fbi honeypot?
Can someone tell me if this phone works in the UK
Apple has deactivated my account and confiscated my cloud. They won’t tell me why and continue declining my requests to reactivate.
So I’m looking for something like this
They should pay us ,at least a free phone and unlimited internet....no we are paying them to make money with us
The fact that people pay over 900 for a phone tells me alot..lol..
Not sure where you’ve been the past decade
Update?

If it connects to a cell tower it can be tracked.
