@@hoovyonlifesupport1129 people will have sex with a person, who the next day regrets it so "retroactively retracts consent" after the fact. And then uses that to claim rape. It was the reason why at the hight of the metoo movement, guys started having girls sign contracts of consent before having sex with them, so that there was a paper trail showing that the girl consented incase she changed her mind the day after.

Story 8 hits me hard. While no one in my family, not even me, has had one (yet), we lost a very good friend to one. It came from no prior symptoms. He was elderly and a little on the heavy side, but he lived an otherwise healthy lifestyle (nothing extravagant, but certainly not filled with junk and supplemented with decent yet light exercise) and was easily one of the sweetest people you could ever know; he was always known as our town's "lifelong Santa" because he looked almost exactly like how Santa is usually portrayed (by "usually," I mean the Coca-Cola ad - yeah, that was how we got that image) and was never one to cause any sort of trouble.
I still remember when we first got word of what happened. I was home when the call came. I had my iPod plugged into a little dock that was tied into the home stereo system; I was not blasting music, mind you - I did not even have the volume up loud - but I had paused it before going to the bathroom. I was just getting out of the bathroom as I heard the ringing finish and go to the answering machine. I came out and heard the caller, his daughter, letting us know what happened, that he had suddenly passed away a few hours ago and that they determined the cause to be a brain aneurysm.
That news rocked me to my core. Like Story 8 said, it can come out of nowhere and be entirely unpreventable. That it happened to someone who, by all rights, should never have had to suffer one was what really made it hit hard (for those who want to say that this was "part of God's plan" or something like that, you do not want to hear what exactly I would tell you about where to shove it). Upon hearing that news, I completely forgot what I was doing before I went to the bathroom. I tried to figure to figure out what I was doing, but that news had blown it all out of my head.
And just for the sick and darkly ironic cherry on top, I had a comedy album playing from my iPod - specifically, George Carlin's _It's Bad for Ya_ special. Because I could not remember what I was doing before this news, I resumed it, hoping for some kind of trigger to remember. That... turned out to be a huge mistake, because the timing of my pausing of it meant that this was the first thing I heard, in its complete and seemingly uninterrupted entirety:
"You know what I've been doing? Going through my address book and crossing out the dead people."
Yeah, I stopped playing the album immediately after that, and I have not been able to listen to that bit ever since (it has been over 10 years).

Almost lost my neighbor to this. She was rushed to the hospital then life flighted to a bigger hospital in a nearby big city where a very gifted surgery team saved her life. That same week our town also lost a high school coach to a brain aneurysm as well.

My neighbor is paralyzed from around the chest down and it is because he dove into a lake without realizing it was a shallow spot when he was a young man and he broke his neck. People need to literally look before they leap!

4:30. Only if you can prove it was done with malicious intent. What is almost impossible in these cases. And even if you do prove, the punishment is a "sorry, it won't happen again(this week)".

9:13 thats like cataplexy. narcolepsy is not what you see in movies. but cat is always with narcolepsy. narc is not always with cat. but again, you have a lot more of a warning for your tired wave coming on.
source: me who has a tentative diagnosis for narcolepsy 2, so i did some research. we have to narrow down a few things, like apparently explain to my dr my weed smoking is not enough to explain the sleepiness and REM in 4min flat.
