My ex wasn't a bad guy. He was actually very sweet and we got along well. We were long distance and whenever I'd get to see him in person I felt like I was getting the friend treatment. He always seemed weirded out to kiss or hold hands or anything and me being an affectionate type of person realized I couldn't stay with someone like that. We had been friends before and are still friends to this day and recently he told me he thinks he may be asexual so I am pretty glad I didn't stay in that relationship.

Im glad my ex bf is an ex because he asked me to start trying for a baby. I was 19, and he was 23, but we'd only been going out together for 2 weeks at this time. He said he'd want to be a dad by the time he was 25. He kept saying how much he'd rather be with a blond. He'd constantly point out blonds while we were out and about. He told me i needed a boob job just because they were a handful, not massive but big enough. I was glad when we finally broke up.

I dated a girl once who had two kids from a previous relationship with a guy 20 years older than her. She had a really rough childhood, including a biological father who SA'ed her. I put my all into the relationship, including helping her move into a new apartment, and she gave nothing back. Not even sex. She would promise me things, but always break her promises. Eventually I got fed up and we had a big fight and she went back to another ex. A few months later and she tried to be my friend. She moved on to a new guy and she fought constantly with him. I found a girl who actually treats me well and got me away from the crazy ex. Thank God!
Edit: So her new guy is actually done with her because she's been physically abusing him to the point where he bled. Dodged a bullet!

He was desperately chasing down a woman who had two kids from an old man. How desperate can he be and how stubborn is her to not accept she wasn’t interested but instead see she just wanted what she could get out of him to benefit her single motherhood.

We had our differences, but all in all she's a great person and my best friend, and while it's sad that the relationship had to end it's a real blessing that we'll stick together in a different manner (we still visit mutual friends, go partying, take my niece and nephew on trips together, celebrate our birthdays on the same day because they are so close together etc.)

Sfw answer is i was working at a resturant and an ex came in with their new partner. I couldn't remember my ex's name, and my ex smelled heavily of fecies. Like, overwhelming oder that formed a 5' bubble around them. A coworker served them and I rejoyced that I was not on a date with someone who smelled like they sponge bathed out of a clogged toilet.
There were other things that made us super not compatible, and they weren't a bad person. I'm sure they found someone, maybe their date that night, who shares their dreams, and needs. No idea why they stank so badly, or what was going on, they never had any health or hygine problems that would cause that, so your guess is as good as mine

I "hooked up" with that friend of hers who told me and I confronted her. We broke up. A week later she got "knocked up" by that kid, got married, then divorced, remarried, had 2 more kids, got divorced again and was asking about me. lol, had a girl try to set the ground rules on the first date that the relationship was going to be open, I noped out immediately. Later she called me and said she changed her ways and we should start dating again, only for a friend of mine to call me basically an hour later and tell me that she had started dating and if I was ok with it. This went on for like half a year; she would date someone new, then try to get me into a three way with her and her new boyfriend. Eventually she broke and just tried to get me to move in with her, I apparently said ‘sure’ then got drunk and forgot about it until a couple weeks later when she called me asking me why I haven’t contacted her or started moving stuff into her apartment, I told her I had forgotten and don’t actually care anymore. Later on I found out she got married to a biker from a coworker and that she’s know for getting into gangbangs whenever there’s a biker party. Good for her, she found a guy who accepts her lifestyle.

Okay, i'm probably gonna end up in a video, but lets just say, i have a story like no other... - okay so This was back in 2022... Basically what had happened - my friend introduced me to a chick... entire thing when i was first introduced to her, she declined a chance to meet me, but would later agree on it... Now it wouldn't be a problem, right ? but after we met, everything was fine, until i got sent home, an hour drive away... i was confused, and didnt understand what had happened, i decided to be nice, and figured maybe she felt sick... but later would go on clubbing which was original plan of the double date... me ofc confronted her about it, and she started apologizing... to which i responded : Do this once more, and i'll end things there and then...
shortly after we started dating, now things were good for first 5 months ? up until my birthday... afterwards, she started demanding sex, and shit, i denied it... since we messed around... me being me, and having seen what nymphs look like in first sight had my thought named like this "Chicks turn in to beasts after sex, do not give in, even if it kills you..." well turns out, messing around was enough for it to trigger the beast, which mentally made her look like a blood starved beast from bloodborne :D
so some time passes, and i lose my job, things are not looking good, and she just kept on complaining how i dont have a job, and harrased me for playing video games on a side, as a hobby to unwind, and when she would be busy, i would keep myself busy, and avoid fighting, which later friends introduced me in to streaming, my ex did not like that... raising the ultimatum its streams or me... to which i fired off : "Do this question agian, you are out, Video games are what saved me from whores, you will not stand in between me and them..." Which i later found out, she's seeing other guys, and after my attempt to maybe change things up, and First few dates were her incentive, i decided okay, now i'll do it, and see how things go...
She declined and went off to sleep with another guy... the guy who she targeted, declined her, and i told her this : "You have a month to fix your cheating problem, mess up once, you're out... i had enough" i took her exactly 13 days to screw me over... i broke up with her after 10 months... and sent the gifts back, to erase any and all reminders of her... however i couldnt let her go easily... but over time, things changed, my current fiancee, made me see what type of person i was dating, and eventually my ex tried dating my ex best friend, and by that time ? i was with a new person, look at my ex, and now my ex best friend, and said this : I didn't wake up and choose violence the day i left her... and if you tried dating her, after my warnings about her, you and her both deserve to die, cause you both are dumb as rocks
The moral of the story : pay attention to the first date - it can spare you a headache later, if first date goes wrong, girl is for the streets... She even tried to attack me IRL, not knowing she would not probably come out alive, if she met up with me IRL, cause while i'm calm most of the time, attack me or my fiancee, i will go after the attacker, and the family, all the same...

But just because she wasn’t evil or cheating that suddenly makes OP the bad guy? Yeah he didn’t marry her but that worked out for him in the end. He didn’t feel like marrying her was right so he didn’t do it but just because he made her wait like an extra month everyone’s mad for some reason. I think most people can agree marrying the wrong person is terrible so why the hell would you be mad at someone for NOT doing that?

idk if it's fair to call him a loser. It just sounds like they weren't compatible. His ex isn't a villain, and neither is he. He tried to make himself into someone who could make the relationship work, when the right thing to do was to just end it. That's an easy mistake to make.

My ex put on a lot of weight too after we broke up, but he's still the man I loved for years, so while I would definitely ridicule him for the things he did to me, his body and human dignity are not up for discussion.

@vincentlucario5450 It's a mutually accepted delusion between two people. I'm not speaking about long distance because those two people occasionally actually meet and interact irl. Until you meet someone and see if you guys actually "meld," you are essentially just online acquaintances.

I don’t think the person realized their feelings at the time. It was in reflection after the fact that they realized why they couldn’t bring themselves to go through with the marriage. I’m glad the woman left though to find what she was looking for.

@@cathyshepard253 I agree with you! It also depends on how old they were when they first got together and how long they were together. It's common for younger adults to not know what they want out of life or a relationship until later on. That is very normal. Sometimes people will lead someone on unintentionally. But if you know, it's good to walk away so they can find someone that can give them what they are looking for. The gf wasn't wrong to state what she wanted out of their relationship and gave him an ultimatum.

I'm in the process of divorcing from my wife of 13 years, and I THANK ALL THE GODS WHO CAN HEAR IT that it's amicable.
All those horror stories about current and former partners made me really apprehensive when we made the decision together. 😅
