@@sheilac1845 i have been trying to get back for 40 years! Glad you commented. Sometimes I feel like the only one! I would love to chat with you about OUR home.

Thanks! This tour was GREAT 😁! You gave us a history lesson from music to a famous train robbery to a famous comic strip! This history show has something for everyone!
John Smithkey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Please subscribe and tell your friends please! We’re trying to grow our subscriber base!
Ronnie Caldwell of the original Bar-Kays (passed away with Otis Redding), Memphis DJ/Television personality George Klein, Elvis' personal physician George Nichopolous, Donald "Duck" Dunn of Booker T and the MG's, Elvis friend Richard Davis are just a few other celebrities buried at this cemetery.
Charlie Rich and his wife were REALLY
close! Both were born in December, ONE day apart and died in July 3 days apart !!
Well, I suppose that's correct, however she made it almost exactly 15 years longer than he did... Or you be technical: 14 years, 11 months and 27 days. Lol. It's interesting to see how often couples that have been married for so long, tend to pass so close to each other.
@@three6ohchris I had an aunt and uncle that died exactly 12 hours apart, to the second!
@@Mimi2Y2BYAZPHIL Wow
Red West was also in Road House...played well...Red
John Olson He owned the parts store
My mom loved the band “Bread” she would always tell us the first record she ever bought was from them.
RIP Isaac Hayes aka the chef. #SouthPark
I'm glad to see that i'm not the only person who appreciates cemeteries - so much time, effort, and artistry goes into a cemetery. Thank you for sharing this one
Casey Coppi you put it very nicely! Cemeteries should be a nice living triple to the dead. Thanks for watching and commenting again!
When it's done Like this is done.
Classy.
Love Charlie Rich, love his music, sadly miss
Such a great video. I too, luv Charlie Rich. My favorite song was "Behind closed doors!" and I loved Isaac Hayes as well. Thank u for such a great video.😉👍
If you dont know yet, I think you would like the channel "Hollywood graveyard".
I think i remember isaac hayes had part in movie pretty woman.
My favorite was "I'll wake up up when I get home"
It's wonderful for someone you love to know that when you get home to them you want just them.

You should go to Rosehill cemetery in Macon, GA. So much to see there. All the Allman Brothers are buried there.
I'd love to get there someday! "I was born a ramblin' man." Thanks for the suggestion!
@History Hunters it’s beautiful. It has so much history. The instrumental Elizabeth Reed was from a grave there. I’m a huge Allman Brothers fan also but it also has so much more to offer. I hope you will be able to make it there someday.
All my family is buried there. It is so beautiful. ❤️
Love the way you go about it.. We generally visit country grave yards on our motorcycle trips. Very respectful the way you do it. Cheers from downunder.

I am from Memphis and my dads mom is buried there,I don't go there much but drive by there every day and it has a very nice grotto.I wasn't close to my dads mother at all that why I don't go.
Well, in the South, they honor their dead and their resting places in a way people up north, with its throw-away culture never do.....
I had never heard of a lot of these people before but their stories are interesting. Thank you for the tour. 😀💕
Thank you, I never knew where “BLACK MOSES” was buried..Issac Hayes.
His grandmother and my grandmother were friends; and after she passed away Issac had my grandmother picked up in a limousine from her house to attend the funeral.✌🏽
My friend is is buried in Memorial Park , Memphis next to his wife ! Bob Welch his wife Wendy died two years later in her sleep she was a super intelligent and beautiful woman , I never thought I’d meet someone like Bob we met at Wendell Smith’s Restaurant in West Nashville he was warm and real I miss him I was honored to call him friend ! Charlie Rich ended his career because of alcoholism! Red was in a movie Roadhouse with Patrick Swayse fascinating man !
I love The Silver Fox.Tony

What a grèat cemetery! Alot of famous performers there. Really great job Jeff, showing all those photos most of us have never seen. Missed seeing Sarah there.

Hi Jeff. Just watched this old one and loved it. If you are still looking for Sam Phillips I’m right here ;). Merry Christmas

The problem with UA-cam is it gives too many people the chance to falsely accuse others of being racist. Ignore those idiots. Great video!
TheEnd thank you! Yeah lots of people easily dispense the criticism and name calling but judge unfairly. I appreciate you watching and giving me positive feedback.
@Cody Jones It’s easy to say when the racism is not pointed at you. You don’t care because it wasn’t degrading to your race, so of course you understand how people are being called out as racist.
Great tour of this cemetery Jeff... I appreciate your knowledge and sharing it with your subscribers and fans.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, as always!
Charlie rich another one of my favorite country singers
Thanks for the videos and please keep doing your videos have been watching your vid for a long while really en watching these videos thank you again
Charlie Rich was a handsome old man..
Very short tribute to Isaac Hayes. He was more of a music icon than shown here.
I could probably have done a longer segment on Mr. Hayes but as I explained in the outset it was an impromptu visit to the cemetery since we were in Memphis for two full days and the cemetery was closing as the sun was going down. I hope you appreciate that I did include a nice segment on him, even though it was too short. Thanks for watching!
In his own genre of music maybe yeah
Exactly... if you're going to pay homage to anyone do it right.
Very true its more to him songwriter producer actor humanitarian activist husband father and much more

Very interesting video. In your tribute to Jimmy Griffin, you played the Bread classic "Everything I Own" which is actually sung by David Gates. Jimmy did write the song "For All We Know" which was a big hit for The Carpenters and that song won the Academy Award for best song.
Great vid, loads of detail about the people that have past away...THANK U
Great Video Jeff,Its Nice to know where the famous people are buried.it's a nice cemetery to.looking forward

Great video man. Definitely will visit that cemetery next time I'm in Memphis.
"You Can't keep Someone from Being Themself." - Red West
I'm an old Aircraft maintenance guy (USAF) and I loved Red West as the grizzled maintenance NCO in "Baa Baa Black Sheep".
You need to do more of these. Excellent job of giving the history of these people.

Love this episode! Red was in Road House and his name was Red! He ran an auto parts store... and wasn’t Isaac Hayes married to Peggy Lipton of Mod Squad? Again another outstanding episode 👍👍

It is a shame that Vernon fired them. If he would have listened and Elvis himself, he could have been with us much longer.
Kathleen Norris yeah Vernon seemed like a hard man but I obviously didn’t know him. Thanks for watching. Have you subscribed to my channel? Would love to have you aboard! Thanks, Jeff.

Watching your visit was like deja vu. I was there this May, but haven't uploaded my visit yet. I stayed at a hotel just down the street from this cemetery. You really did a nice job. Every UA-camr I watch seemed to visit Tennessee cemeteries this part summer. Very weird :-)
Thank you, Steve! I appreciate your compliments coming from you!
Most enjoyable, after the loud music at start.
Please next time turn down the background music
Music is fine here on my side
Too loud, so I turned on the closed caption.

Charlie Rich, I did not know, appeared in Chicago’s (legendary rock band) 1974 TV special “Meanwhile, Back At The Ranch.”
Billy Stallings, The Spa Guy has featured Red’s grave on his You Tube channel. I think George Klein is buried there too. He may have passed after you did this. Great video!
Thanks! I've watched Spa Guy (but I think he needs to change his name to the Elvis Guy). LOL
@@jbenziggy ~ spaguy needs to do MORE RESEARCH for his channel himself and quit using young people( i.e. ASHLEY DREW ADVENTURES on UA-cam, Facebook and Instagram ) to do his work and then STEAL their finds from them and take all the credit himself and only refer to them as his “ SIDEKICKS”. He’s very rude and arrogant and thinks he knows ALL THINGS ABOUT ELVIS and CLEARLY HE DOES NOT! Check out his appearance on “ Gates of Graceland” about SUPPOSEDLY, ( when the truth is Ashley Drew found the bicycle) finding Elvis’s bicycle and read the comments on how HE “BOUGHT” HIS WAY on the show. He loves the notoriety while all the while stepping all over other people to get it. By the way, love your channel and just liked and subscribed. 👍🏻. Your video popped up on UA-cam as I was scrolling. Keep up the good work. 🤩. I guess needless to say am a BIG ELVIS FAN! Thanks for all your hard work. 👏👏👏
