I remember this too from some years ago and there was a very well made documentary on this on Smithsonian Channel. Watching the royal funeral for the former king was so fascinating and I’ve been very much intrigued by royal history from all over the world but especially the British monarchy all the way back to the 12 century and previous. 🤓

I once met John Challis when he was travelling first class on a train I was managing. He was a lovely man we chatted for 2 and a half hours. This was in 2001..George Michael to this day remains a large donor to his Children's charities. He was anonymous until 2 years before he died. ALL of his royalties now go to them. What a lovely man he must have been deep down.

George Michael. I'd forgotten he passed away in 2016. We lost so many greats that year, including David Bowie and Alan Rickman, and all three so suddenly and with no warnings, and all favorites of mine. That was a rough year. I knew of several others by their names.
Thanks so much for the video, Arthur, and thanks so much to everyone doing the legwork to make it possible.

Sadly that year also saw the passing of Eagles’s singer Glenn Frey, Prince, Leonard Cohen, Pete Burns, Jon English, Rick Parfitt (the guitarist from the band which had the Down Down hit on those Cole’s’ Ads) as well as Andrew Sachs, Gene Wilder, Ronnie Corbett, Charmian Carr, Bruce Mansfield and Max Walker. It was a very sad year for the entertainment industry.

It’s 3am EST 5-18-24 in Detroit and I’m finally off work and was able to finish the whole vid. My personal fav of the graves visited in this episode is George Michael. At 45, there are a few artists that had a profound, lifelong effect on my taste in music, ( in some cases, men), and are still in my top 5 favorite artists. The late, great, MJ is #1 but GM is a very close second. I was 5-6 when Careless Whisper came out and I will never forget, watching the video and being absolutely stunned and amazed by how beautiful he was and how amazing and haunting his voice was. I still get goosebumps to this day hearing Father Figure or Careless Whisper….. R.I.P GM…. We love you and forever miss you. Thank you for your talent and impact on the world. ☺️

I'm so pleased that you featured Edwin Starr's grave. My parents are buried at Wilford Hill and I've 'popped' over to see him many times on my visits. Thank you for another great video.

Less than 30 seconds into the post I see that squirrel running across someone's grave and the first thing that popped into my mind was, "Even in death we have to deal with those jerks?!" That's it. I'm living forever. 😉

I really enjoy your videos on all the deceased and long gone actors, actresses, singers, dancers, athletes, politicians, producers, writes and anybody else that we consider important in our history. Especially the many Black entertainers many people never heard about. Keep up the good work. In fact when you profile the famous actor Williams Powell, I look for his movies and I really enjoy watching his one Oscar nominated movie " Life with Father " hilarious...with the young teenager Elizabeth Taylor.
