    Yes sir brother, i mentioned flipping that center plate over when you got your stabilizer bars in your video. Pretty sure you PINNED my comment. It changes the geometry when you flip the plate over, keeping things from getting torn up. With the plate flipped over, you can see that the stabilizer are inline with the pivots on the arms. Those captured pins are a savior for sure. That was the first thing i replaced on mine, haven`t ever lost one yet. It`s a good idea to toss a few extra pins in that little fender glove box to have on hand out in the field, too. Nothing like having some spares handy on the tractor. Another thing i did, to help stop bending those pins, add 2 pins if you can in each stabilizer. Sometimes you can capture 2 holes. Extra pins in the bars makes it more rigid.

      That’s right, it was you! I guess I should have taken the time to go back and look it up. Sorry. I do appreciate the tip. I wouldn’t have thought of it.

    Using the stabilizer bars with my plow. Love that it doesn’t swing around as much. Thank you for the other updates.

      Look at a class 1 Land Pride quick hitch, they are awesome. You don’t have to get off the tractor to drop and rehook most equipment. Best money I have spent besides wheel spacers.

    Just took my threaded turnbuckles, cut off ends saving left and right hand threaded portion, then welded each end to countered weighted telescoping square tubing with few holes in center for quick length adjustment, then turning pinned telescoping tubing for taking out slack. Also made locking knife and fork hinges for all 3pts (2arms and top link) kinda looks like the human arm. When you lift implement, it automatically locks fully extended through gravity, so simple.

    Wheel spacers are the best money I spent on my BX2680. 2” on the rear and 1 1/2 on the front! It was unbelievable how much more stable it made it! It took out the butt puckering factor out on hills and using the front end loader 😁

    Thanks for this! I destroyed my pto guard too… and then some 😢
    I was rototilling a couple months ago and that little pin with the hair pin that keeps that plate in place FELL OUT! Holy cow 😮 the telescopic arms came loose, the tiller was spinning and fell to the side and I lost the bushings and the bar that goes across there got bent!!! It scared the 💩 out of me!
    Ordered new parts from messicks and got it all back together and replaced the pto cover. Back to good now.
    So I’m a little nervous about flipping that plate over but I can see where it would give more clearance.
    Hey Brother thanks so much for your content 🙏👍🙏

      Ouch! Hate to hear you had such a mess. So far I’ve only ran my box blade with the plate flipped but it won’t be long before I have the bush hog back in action.

    Great tip Lucas, the pins are secured with a metal cable to the stabilizer bars so I can't loose them on mine 👍🏻. FYI the link you attached for the Assorted Clips is the same as the Stabilizer. Have a great week 🙋🏼‍♂

    I will try to remember this when I use my 3 point hitch. I use the clips on my atv plow and I bend the curved part just a bit more so that it does not come loose. Thanks for the info Lucas.

    I got mine as well, haven’t had either problem but will make the changes. One of my arms was too tight to slide and took a while with the grinder to make a clearance. Odd that it wasn’t tested, but the price was right.

  • @tiredofit9112
    @tiredofit9112 Рік тому

    The quick hitch is so much easier. you don’t have to get off the tractor to drop your box blade and switch to a land grader or other equipment. Get the class 1 and you don’t have to buy the bushing kit. I’ve had the land pride brand for 3 years and is some of the best money I’ve spent next to wheel spacers. 😁

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Рік тому +1

      What has held me back from the quick hitch is two things, I have an old disc and tiller that would not be compatible and I put my backhoe on often so it would be one more thing to handle when I have to swap it out. I’ve been tempted though. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead I’m going to pick up my23s today. I’m going to try to assemble the 3 point and my quick hitch and put it on a roller cart to see if it would be possible to install it without a lot of hassle. I’m telling you that q hitch is awesome, saves me a lot of time. The land pride is a true class 1
