Here`s a worthy piece of advice installing the Tel-Links.... (without removing the plate, unless you want to flip the plate over for better geometry like i did with mine) install your front pieces on the plate first. Then all you`ll need to do is lift the rear of the stabilizers up to the arms, drop the pin in much easier on the rear of the arms. Doing the front first, you`ll fight with it alot less, because the rear is easier to attach when its right in front of you.
The telescoping stabilizers are well worth $119.99. I bought a new Kubota BX, and got the Land Pride QH05 Quick Hitch. The quick hitch enables you to hook up implements without getting off the tractor. Obviously, you have to get off the tractor if you need to make fine adjustments, or you can add top & tilt and make the adjustments from your seat. There's a lot of toys available for the BX tractors!
Got mine from Mark Hodge which manufactured them before the others came around. Absolutely love them and would buy again from him if I ever need anymore. These are a must even if you don’t use a quick hitch set up. Have a Blessed Day
I’ve been meaning to get these for my BX too. I’m surprised these aren’t an option from the factory, I bet most people would gladly pay for that upgrade.
I bought the same ones from Slimeazon. When i installed mine, i noticed it doesn`t bind during lifting if you flip that front plate over. The geometry of the BX 3pt arms are off a little at the front plate. Flipping the front plate over made all the difference in the world for me. Now the telescopic stabilizers run smoother, truer and parallel with the lift arms. Try it, you`ll see what i mean Lucas. A key note about these telescopic stabilizers... they dont tighten up like the link adjustable ones do. So keep your eye on the holes and the pins more often. They WILL wallow the holes out.
I just installed my telescopic stabilizers this past Sunday. Combined with the Pat's Easy-Change, they made connecting my rear blade a breeze. No more having to do the "hold one side with my foot while bending over to pull the other side back while also reaching for the 3-point lever" dance (also known as the "looks like monkey fornicating a football" dance lol)
That is a huge upgrade! I got lucky and my 2601 came with telescoping 3 point. I cant imagine how much of a pain the turn buckles must be. I'm sure you are loving the arms already. I just did a bunch of grading around my barn with my box blade and all I could think is I need a hydraulic top link. Maybe some day. Hope you and your family have a great rest of the week!
The telescoping stabilizers was the first Messick's order I made right after I ordered my BX2680 last year. I have the quick hitch now so the stabilizers don't get adjusted much, but they're great for quick adjustments when you have attachments/implements that aren't quick hitch compatible....pull the 2 pins on the stabilizers, pull the quick hitch off, and you are all set to hookup to other attachments/implements. $189 at Messick's for the stabilizers, plus shipping, but I make sure I got a few things to order if I have to order from Messick's so it kind of helps with shipping costs LOL.
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead I had add-on stuff sitting in boxes waiting for the tractor to show up LOL. I knew the tractor was coming, just didn't know when, and I knew a few things I wanted right away so I ordered that stuff first. I also have the skid plate that mounts under the belly of the tractor when the mower deck is removed, I need to do some modifications to it as its hitting somewhere preventing me to select the LOCK position on the deck height knob...that's by far the biggest gripe with this tractor is the mower deck adjustment linkage is pretty sub-par for the cost of the tractor, I'd expect a lot better, and apparently its been a known issue for a long time, you'd think Kubota would figure it out by now. I have to mess with the linkage while trying to turn the knob to get it to lock in the full up position....should never have to do that, it should be a repeatable simple turn of the knob every time and go to the same position, its not, not even close.
I also got mine from Mark Hodge, they are well made. I’m sure the ones you got will make a huge difference than those cheap turnbuckles. You won’t regret the switch 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
Just ordered a set for my 23S via your link for my new landscape rake. Thanks for the instructions! You make it look easy. I'm sure I'll break something. 😁
Thanks for this great tip, definitely a worthwhile upgrade, and inexpensive. I see they come from Eparts through Amazon, the replacement lift and top links I got from them seem to be fine.
You might find it easier to get your lift arms hooked to the implement first. Then lift said implement off the ground and adjust your stabilizers as needed.
I have these same exact stabilizer bars, also from Fleabay. These are a great mod, but my most favorite mods are from Paul & Kathy Short of Specialty Repairs in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, Canada. I absolutely love the craftsmanship of all their products. I have been friends of theirs for about or 7 years. He even made a wire soldering video just for me, well, for anybody needing to add lighting. I have a few "Short" videos on my channel with a few of their mods, and I have even more to add later in an updated video. You need to check out Paul older ractor videos and his newer modvideos. He's actually the reason I love 🚜's. These 2 are the swetest people I have ever talked to. Give their site a visit and get some mods for your baby tractor as well. Hopefully, they aren't sold out. GOD Bless.
Great video as always. Ive seen that set on Amazon and i will probably be buying those before spring so i can use them when i get out the tiller attachment Curious, what size box blade is that? Looks like a 5 foot but camera angles can be deceiving lol
I had trouble with these. The pto shaft on my bushhog would hit them causing some damage. Not sure if I did something wrong but they weren’t working with the bush hog
These are nice but will not work on my 2380 with my tiller. When 3 point is raised all the way to load on my trailer the plate and the telescoping arms cram into my pto shift. I am going to try to reinstall the using the u shaped connectors and pins from the factory turnbuckle to try and give it a swivel point there
I can't remember if I mentioned it in the video, but I flipped over the plate that these attach to so that it wraps up from the bottom and that bought me enough clearance to keep mine from rubbing.
I've just installed the new telescoping links on my BX-23S a couple days ago and I've worked with them for a couple days now and I have to say I am NOT impressed. There are several holes in which to insert the pins in order to lock the telescoping arms but there are only just so many combinations of holes to use. The links never ever get really tight enough to stop the swaying back and forth of the box blade. The turnbuckles are infinitely adjustable and do a much better job at tightening things down. I cannot find any combination of holes and pins of the tele-links to make it tight. The only positive aspect of the tele-links is that I can rather quickly adjust the box blade to swing way off to one side or the other in order to create an angle in the blade so that I can pull gravel from the outer edge of my driveway back into the center. It's kind of like being able to angle a snow blade in order to push snow off to one side as you plow.
I don’t know how the B7800 is made, but if you would like a measurement to compare Id be glad to measure these and see how they match up. They seem pretty universally made so I doubt it would take much to find a set that fit.
