Awesome Rick! Your gonna be very happy with them, they are a life saver and can save you a ton of time when switching between implements… they are also pretty sharp looking!
This is the best video on these -- thanks! I went looking for which way the top offset holes go since the instructions don't mention it at all and it's hard to see in the pictures. Messick's video actually has one offset one way and one offset the other way in their video...so their video wasn't helpful. This video is awesome!
Awesome I’m glad to hear my install video helped you out. That’s funny I didn’t notice that when watching Neils video, sometimes it can be tough when filming, explaining, and installing all at the same time it can be quite easy to overlook something small like that. I’v had mine on since this video and have yet to have a single complaint so I know your gonna love them! 👍🏻
That's great to hear Wayne, I heard his are very nice as well and have seen pictures of them before they are very similar. Glad you've had the same experience iv had with them! Best of luck!
Excellent! Congrats on the new upgrade! The sway bar kit has treated me really well thus far, Iv had zero issues and no complaints with them. Over all a really great product !
Thanks Pat! Snow is all gone (Thank God) haha.. I was getting so tired of moving snow around this year as I plow for a living for my normal job in the winter as well.. I hope to get out in the hard very soon and start playing in the dirt again. Thanks for watching !
@@BiffsEquipment we stick have lots around here in New Brunswick Canada. It is starting to melt. We are going to get some nice weather this week with highs of 16c so it should knock it down. Be nice to get to work in the dirt again
Thanks Biff. Just ordered mine. Little pucker factor after working a bit turnbuckles loosen and the sway on the weight box forces the tractor off one side which if on a slight grade lift tires off the ground creating a tipping hazard. These stabilizers should provide a bit more of a safety factor.
Sure thing buddy! Yes your right, when you have a lot of rear ballast back there and it gets swaying one direction it can certainly pull the ass end around or away the whole tractor in its direction. These stabilizer links work much better and are much faster/easier to set as well. They give just enough play where it’s not totally tight but tight enough to where your ballast isn’t slinging around like a wrecking ball back there lol
I just saw a video on this from some one else , I said to my self that you need this. The video ended and you popped up. He got it free because he said he had a UA-cam channel. So next time see if u can get it for free. Great job explaining everything. Todd
Awesome Ronnie, they have been holding up extremely well, Iv had no issues what so ever with them and they do make life so much easier when you don’t have a quick hitch. Really good build quality and the powder cost has held up really well.
Another great video and product think I need to get this one next. I did notice it looked like you unhooked you grapple with tractor running I was told to turn it off and depressurize.
Thanks man, as for disconnecting the grapple.. quite often I can actually connect AND disconnect the grapple with the tractor running.. long as the valve is not being used by pressing the buttons on the switch the pressure should be static.. for safely reasons it’s not a bad idea to turn it off tho but I usually don’t unless I have built up pressure in the line causing me to have to bleed it out first my shutting down the machine and working the 3rd function switch (this rarely happens for me tho) and I typically have no issue connecting and disconnecting my 3rd function whether it’s running or off.
Thanks Paul! It sure is a night and day difference from the old turnbuckles that's for sure. So far iv been very happy with them and would buy them again in a heart beat. Thanks for watching!
Hey man great to hear you got a set as well, it’s crazy how fast they sold out.. the factory stabilizers were a pain and I think everyone knew it. Thanks for watching and let me know how you like them!
great video..AGAIN..need some help finding some fenders that fit on the front wheels...live in the south so its kinda wet and muddy here. Front tires throw a bunch of crap on the MMM deck while mowing and under the tractor when remove. If ya know of any that will work on the BX please let me know
Hello Roger thanks for watching! As for your fenders just on over to Paul & Kathy Short UA-cam channel, Paul short makes custom fenders for the front of the Kubota BX you can purchase them from his website and he has a few videos showing how he built them and how to install them I believe.. Let him know I sent you! Best of luck!
I just received mine today, via Fed Ex, from Messick's. Between your video, Biff, and Neils from Messick's, installation looks like a breeze. I built a carry-all for my BX-25D and installing it on the 3 point hitch went OK with the original unit, but trying to take the sway out of it is not easy with 70 year old arthritic hands, trying to crank on those turn buckles, did not go so well. I think the new stablizers are going to work out well.
Thanks buddy, I couldn't agree more! Before I had these I had to un-pin the old stabilizers first just so I could "Quickly" connect the new rear implement then i was having to re-pin the stabilizers and then bust out a wrench to properly adjust them.. what a pain.. These are so much better, glad to hear your custom stabilizers are working well too, you did a great job with them!
I ordered these a couple hours after the messicks video came out...supposedly my order shipped this week...if you go order now...I think they're saying late April(don't quote me)...Neil is totally shocked by how popular this item is...
That’s great to hear you got some coming too man. Yah it’s unreal how fast he sold out.. just goes to show how many people were not happy with the factory stabilizers haha. Let me know how you like them! Thanks for watching
My friend just ordered a set for his new BX. The telescopic stabilizers are awesome! My LX has them, but my previous B didn't and I can tell a huge difference! Great video!
Hey Peter glad to hear! It’s such a good upgrade for the little bx as getting in there to adjust those factory then buckles was always a pain. Glad to hear you like them as much as I do! Stay safe!
Ahhhh yeaaaa my man!!! Thanks so much Biff, you are a solid pro at this and these types of videos are super amazing. Kubota should sponsor you!! Thanks as always and great work :) now I gotta find em in Canada...yeesh
Thanks Nick I appreciate that buddy! I hope your able to find some out in Canada, I know it can be tough getting things shipped out to you and I know a lot of company’s won’t even do it but Hopefully you find a way to get them one way or another! Keep me posted and stay safe!
That’s great to hear Mike! I really wish Kubota woulda installed them from the factory on the BX but I can understand why they don’t.. I’m just glad they are now so readily available as they weren’t before. Thanks for watching!
Biff - I enjoyed the video. - you can get some LED bulbs for the tail lights on the BX. I have not had a burnt out bulb since I switched over to LED bulbs - I did a video for the headlights, and one of the videos on replacing my HST fan shows the LED tail lights - I am not at home right now, so I can’t give you the part number, but I’m sure you can figure that out. If you install an LED bulb in the tail light and it does not turn on, remove the bulb and turn it 180 degrees. They require the positive and negative leads to be oriented correctly. I got my stabilizers from Mark Hodge. I have not regretted the purchase. It’s great that Messick’s offers this to their customers. Sounds like they have them in stock and ready to ship. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the comment Bob. I actually have had LED lights in the rear in the last but took them out because they weren’t as bright as the factory bulbs.. The ones I have are really cheap China LEDs and after removing them I had planned to get a better set that’s brighter but never got around to it. I may have to now as I need a bee bulb.. not that I don’t have stock piles of regular ones but I would like the LED ones again just gotta find me a good set. As for the stabilizers they are really nice build quality.. top notch for sure. I have heard Hodges work well too. Thanks for watching buddy!
Those are definitely better than those almost worthless turnbuckles but I bought mine from Mark Hodge and they are much more heavy duty plus they come with grade 8 hardware instead of those pins. I am sure you will be happy with yours as well.
Very cool man, glad to hear! They def make a world of a difference when connecting implements to your 3-point. It’s what Kubota shoulda used from the factory haha. Thanks for watching and best of luck with yours.
This has always been one of my biggest complaints about the bx is that the sway chains are on the inside as opposed to the outside kind seems like an oversight from kubota lol. I also didn't know about this kit ill have to check it out.
Hey Darren, I totally agree the factory stabilizers were just a nightmare.. the fact that they were on the inside only complicated things further.. maybe the next Kubota BX with come factory with these haha. If you get some let me know how you like them! Thanks for watching!
This might be a silly question, but is there any point to these if you have a quick hitch system? I'm new to the small tractors (just got my BX this past year) and I have a quick hitch and make sure all my implements are QH compatible. I just wanted to know if they are for more than just quickly hooking up or disconnecting implements.
Hey Toby, There isn't a whole lot of point if you NEVER take off your quick-hitch but for many of us there are still implements we own that requires you to remove the quick hitch at which point you'll be glad you own these upgraded links as i explained towards the end of the video. If your certain you'll never remove your quick hitch though then its really not needed. Thanks for watching!
Can you please tell me the shortest length of these new stabilizers from pin hole to pin hole? I don't have a Kubota so I'm hoping these could work on my tractor. Thanks
Mark Hodge makes these for a number of different tractors, not just the Kubota. The problem with the Hodge stabilizers are the wait once you order them. A great product but he is only a one man operation. Good luck
It’s really up to you, if you don’t think your ever gonna need to remove your quick hitch then there really isn’t much reason but if you think you may buy it use some implements which aren’t quick hitch compatible then I think it’s still a fantastic upgrade even if you are only using them a few times a session but that’s up to you to decide. Thanks for watching !
Hey Rick, yah I hear ya, seems as tho there aren’t as many aftermarket accessories for some of the other brands.. you may get away with running these anyways tho.. but if they don’t fit you prolly can’t return them.. if you do some measuring I’ll measure mine for you and we can see if it may work if your interested.. I’m sure it would be close enough or you could modify them slightly to work. Thanks for watching
Biff's Equipment Thanks, I emailed Mark Hodge the one who makes them for Messick’s and told him my exact model. He emailed back and said he knows the machine and said he doesn’t make them for my tractor because the turnbuckles are to short and not enough room for play. I don’t get it they make them for other machines. Yeah if you want to measure yours to give me an idea, I would appreciate that. I personally don’t see much of a difference between my Mahindra and what’s on the back of your bx.
Yes they should be, you should match the holes from left to right.. I fixed it afterwords you can see at the end of the video that it was fixed.. I was watching the camera and not watching what I was doing and chose the wrong hole for the left side. Thanks for watching!
Yah I finally had to stop spending money on my tractor and equipment for a bit so I could save up for a few new pair of pants haha. Spending money on clothing has never been one of my strong suits lol
I think I'll get these for my new bx1880. They'll go great with the mods I've already purchased from Paul and Kathy Short in Canada. I highly recommend their mods as well.
