Plus, some of them indeed function as theme park kinda communities. In fact, I have seen Chinese themed communities too. These ones were essentially created from scratch to resemble old Chinese towns, mainly for tourism. But some are better built and some are poorly built. In fact, Vegas really reminded me of those knockoff communities. When I first saw Vegas, I felt a bit disgusted, just like most ppl would feel about these. But after a few days in Vegas, you kinda get used to the reality that everyone knows they are fake, but some are still fun to look at. The Mirage, the New York, the Venice and the Forum are weird to be together, but... fun.
