love this series, it's inspired me to get started on the tiktok grind! the rank idea is really good, it's definitely good to have smaller goals on the way to the big one. something that could be interesting to check out would be to see how effective it would be to copy your video ideas once you release more music. for example, every time you make a slideshow, post that slideshow twice, once with rome and once with whatever song you release next. 35 videos in 17 days is a lot, and i wonder if the tiktok algorithm would reward you for posting more if you're able to effectively double that with a new release. also would be interested to see how youtube shorts work! just an idea, but it seems like you could just upload everything you upload to tiktok to youtube shorts with little to no extra work. looking forward to the next video!
On posting the same idea twice with variation- it’s definitely crossed my mind to redo the same ideas, especially if I had a hunch that the idea was good but it wasn’t performing well for some reason. Having another song out would be perfect to test for that! it’s been a grind to post that many videos but it gets a little easier every time. some of the ways i’ve optimized: saving hashtags to copy and paste, setting up OBS (recording software) to 3 different scenes so my visualizers don’t seem repetitive like the layout of them, and building out different series so i don’t have to think of new ideas for every post rather it’s another episode in a music recommendation series or another slideshow in the same style. the biggest thing that I’ve seen influence the algorithm to show the video to more people is making videos that people want to save or favorite. more on that in next episode! i’ve considered UA-cam shorts on my artist page but I get the feeling that I would have to post original content there, things like a story time or talking head because it wouldn’t be able to include the features native to TikTok but maybe i’m just overthinking it. i’m glad you like the series and that it’s inspired you to put yourself out there ❤️
@@VarsityBeatsthe building series idea sounds like a really good way to have consistent content without it getting stale, i'll be sure to give it a try! as for youtube shorts that makes sense, i haven't tried them myself yet but i might try just uploading the same stuff i upload to tiktok just to see if it works. i've seen youtube shorts do amazing things for content creators in other niches, seems like youtube is really pushing shorts to try to compete with tiktok. a mario kart youtuber i found at ~5k subs about 6 months ago is now at over 100k now, and it seems like youtube shorts was a big reason. a few of his shorts have over a million views and a lot have over 100k views. i'm not sure if success like that would translate to shorts about marketing your own music, but would definitely be interested to see how it goes. also worth noting i’ve seen a few famous tiktokers upload the exact same content from tiktok to youtube shorts with good results, but not sure if the same would happen for music stuff. best of luck promoting!
