@@alexram5679 what's frustrating is a pseudo-sport that encourages people to do things that guarantee injury purely for vanity's sake. The literal mascots of the sport are puke-y the clown and uncle Rhabdo. You should never to a 500m sprint, followed by a day of HIRT, then do a one-rep max clean, that's how Brooke Wells and Kevin Ogar happens. Like i'm 45 seconds into this video and watching guys fail to do their first rep, literally falling over themselves with massive amounts of metal weights above them, and they CONTINUE. One clip i saw was a guy doing a pistol squat while balancing on a ball with a barbell over his head. It's the unhealthy "take it too far" culture of crossfit that people have a problem with.

@Ivan Karamazov I wouldn't put too much credence in the specific order. Both days they basically open and close with running events, with field events in the middle. Did you just walk in knowing how to do everything perfectly? double unders, handstand walks, muscles ups, any oly work, moving more efficiently in plyo and calisthenics , and mono-structural work? Glad you found your love in powerlifting, but to say there is no progression is not only ignorant, it's hubristic. Focusing on form is gym dependent. Some gyms won't even allow you to touch a barbell until you can prove you can move safely, and consistently with a PVC pipe. Some gyms just want to have CrossFit on their doors and only have two day certification and could care less about form and only care about money...So I'll give ya that.

    Two biggest problems here:
    1. You should never do more than your body is comfortable with, or you’ll just destroy your muscles. You have to build up to that point, you can’t start there
    2. You shouldn’t do multiple reps of something that’s out of your body’s abilities, it only compounds your muscle fatigue and leads to further muscle destruction and worse and worse form on each new rep
CrossFit people do not seem to understand how to properly treat their bodies, they are killing themselves
