We are due on Apex next year...over 400 days to go and I can't wait, mainly because of vlogs like yours 😊Not a fan of martinis but the Martini Bar is deffo on my list of bars to visit and your video has just cemented it 😁. Loving your Apex vlogs 😍
Thank you so much! The martini bar is definitely a must. We were so surprised at the quality of the drinks. Those 400 days will go by quickly. We actually board the Apex again soon so be on the look out for even more Apex vlogs to get you prepared for your trip. Have a great week! Emma & Jack
Glad you found our channel and hope you enjoy! We will have another series on the Apex coming out in 4-6 weeks as we just got off our second sailing on her. You will have a great time in Dec! Emma & Jack
Hi! This is waaay after you did this vlog. Loved that you included various meals along with the bars. And I didn’t mind watching you guys eating “delicately” at all. Real time vlogging is nice. We are taking a 10 night cruise on the Beyond in a Sky Suite in 2 months, so this helped us get more excited. Of course you were on the Apex, and design has changed in most Retreat areas on the Beyond & Ascent. We are hoping that our cabin will include a Kuerig machine, because we also love coffee pretty much right after waking up. And there are no more butlers to call for that, just glorified room attendants to do a few of the things butlers used to do.
Thank you so much. We enjoy doing both the live vlogging and talking heads vlogging so try to mix it up. And really appreciate you understanding about the eating. It can be polarizing so we try to not over due it but like to show realtime. We haven’t been on since the changes to the butler staff but will be experiencing it in March. And will be doing a vlog while on the ship about what we think. Have a great week. Emma & Jack
You two are wonderful so down to earth and natural, a joy to watch and enjoy. Perhaps it’s just the same things l would do. Luv your clips keep up the good work. Your Scottish follower Sonny Mac.
Thank you so much. You just made our day! The way you described it is how we hope everyone enjoys our content and really how we are trying to deliver the content. Plus we are super excited to have a Scottish follower. Jacks mum is British and his fathers side is Scottish. Hope you have a great weekend! Emma & Jack
That was an enjoyable video.. Thank you.. You were in the Retreat, looks like you ate at Luminae most nights.. Did you try the other restaurants? We just did the Edge in Jan in a Retreat Suite and have to admit the Steak was so much better in Luminae than it was at the steak house.. :-) we love Celebrity. Have done Princess, Celebrity and Oceania. Celebrity is our 1st pick with Princess being our 2nd choice.. Oceania is not the “Best food at sea” as they advertise, and not much to do on ship (Regatta).
Thanks for watching and enjoying. We have tried Blue, Eden and the 4 main dining rooms. We really enjoyed Eden but weren’t impressed with Blu. The 4 main dining rooms were surprisingly good but nothing compares to Luminae. Princess is on our list to try just haven’t found the right time, place and price to give it a go. Hope you have a great week. Emma & Jack
The Retreat Suite is the upper class on this ship. For the peasants in the inside rooms, you guys have a huge advantage due to where the suites and Luminae are located. I used to love Celebrity and still do but the non-Edge ships. However, I'd choose Princess or HAL over the Edge Celebrity ships because they've done away with so many spaces they used to have in lieu of more and more specialty restaurants and Eden. Princess ships have way more variety of social areas inside the ship and that's why I prefer them. Food and service is fine with either. Never tried Oceania.
I saw the same magician on the celebrity infinity last year. She was super funny and the tricks were pretty cool. I’m going on the apex next year. Really excited. 😊
We really enjoyed her! You will love the Apex. We are currently on the Apex filming one of our upcoming adventures so hope you enjoy. Have a great weekend! Emma & Jack
Hello terrific video. I have a question. We’re sailing 12/16/23 I booked an inside deck 12 and my mother is booked in a sky suite. Any chance I can join them in the retreat or the private restaurant? Thanks for your help
Thanks for watching and I hope you have a fantastic trip. To answer your question it depends on if the staff on your ship say yes. If it’s a busy night like lobster night than probably no! (Usually our least favorite night anyway) but if they do say yes I forgot the exact amount but they will charge you $50-$60 to eat at Luminae. They won’t let you in the Retreat lounge usually. Happy Holidays! Emma & Jack Live a Little
Thank you so much! We did not try out the $420/shot whiskey. Just don't think any whiskey could be worth that price. And it is definitely not part of the premium package; however, you do get a slight discount because of the premium package (but it is very slight). Have a great week. Emma & Jack
What a bait and switch this was. Titled as a bar hopping bonanza and then all we see is soups and salads. The martini bar is the focal point of main area and you didn't even go there until day 6? Didn't try the magic carpet until day 7? What did you do all week except eat salads?
Thanks for your opinion. I beg to differ that is was bait and switch since we did go to every bar on the ship and got something. You saw some food in the mix because we needed to eat if we were going to drink that many different alcoholic drinks! Jack had a total of 2 salads in this episode because Emma was hungry. Yes day 6 was our first time at the martini bar because we had many other port days prior to this and it’s usually busy. (We had other stuff we needed to film earlier in the week) magic carpet we had tried prior to filming. Thanks for watching! Have a nice weekend!
I just subscribed yesterday, or a couple of days ago 'cause I loved your suite and retreat tour, but I'm not a fan of watching other people eat or seeing plates of sauce, etc. after dining, or even filming at meals, so I'm hoping your next video isn't like this one.
What you will see from us is a mix of types of content. Some will be more direct informational with tours and reviews and some will be more food and drink focused. Emma & Jack
@@lindsayslivealittle Thanks for your reply. I have decided to unsubscribe now, but your videos will likely show up in my feed, and if it's a cabin tour or ship tour of a ship of interest, we'll watch. We love the way "Visit with Us" does the dining portions of their wonderful videos. They don't eat on camera, and they are very discreet, not disturbing other diners. They are very successful. You might like to look for them. Emma (Emma cruises) is also very successful and does not eat on camera. Good luck to you, though.
@@youtubewatcher1135 we follow and watch many channels including the ones mentioned above. Each UA-camr is unique and creates content in different ways to tells a story so we appreciate the variety and inspiration from other channels but design ours as a documentary for us to use in the future. The channels you mentioned above are not real time vloggers as they mainly focus on voice over content which is not our desired style. Our content is designed to provide real time feedback so that everything is fresh. But I think most importantly we make sure we are not bothering other travels and have frequently been praised by people we have met on ships and found our channel that we make sure not to impact others travels.
