When did you cruise, as there have been HUGE cutbacks in the Main Dining Room & Buffet. No more steaks, lobster, Prime Rib, prime meat carving stations, new charges for room service, etc. Where you both aware of this? If so, you owe it, to your listeners, to make a video on this current topic!
I love your enthusiasm. I'm a frequent Celebrity cruiser & I recommend going to the Main Dining room for breakfast. They'll bring you anything you'd like. The buffet is always absolutely packed at breakfast time. The Dining Room is quiet rather than the hubbub in the Buffet.
We were on Celebrity Constellation Jan 2020 (16 nights )we had a blast. I did a cooking class for about the same price. It was mainly a demonstration with a few knife skills and ‘helping’ the Chef stir things. We had a tour of the pastry/ dessert part of the galley and sat down to a beautiful lunch after with the the food we’d help prep. All the time with a glass of bubbles at hand which seemed to fill its self. I was completely sozzled and super happy. Best sea day ever!
I am not even in to cruising, never though about going on one but I love this channel, it’s so addictive and I love Ben & David’s personality. So glad I clicked on it when it was recommended to me about 6 months ago. Been catching up on some of the older videos as well 🛳️🛳️
Me too. It’s changed my perception of cruising not being a sleazy/trashy party (basically a dive-bar on water lol) to an actual sophisticated way to have fun. Cheers
@@fredred5037 There are many cruiselines and even different classes of ships within the same cruiseline. They have their own vibe and amenities. Choose the correct one and you'll enjoy cruising. Choose the wrong one and you'll hate cruising. The great thing about youtube is that there are many reviews and cruiseship tours you can do ahead of time to find the right ship for you.
There's something both magical and efficient that you can go to sleep in one place and then wake up in another place. Instead of being squished into an airplane seat, you can be sipping a cocktail or watching a show while heading to your next destination. That said, cruising is a bit of slower pace compared to just flying directly to your destination and going sightseeing. You should give it a try.
I found them when I was preparing to go on my first cruise and now I just listen to their videos when I want to hear something fun that puts me in a good mood.
I would recommend for folks that want to do fine dining, buy the dining package. I am buying a four night package for both of the next two cruises I’m doing with Celebrity in June and August and it comes out to about $41 per meal. That’s a very large savings.
@@peterkapusi5882 in my experience, yes. Supposedly, sushi on five or raw and five is an à la cart restaurant but last summer we were allowed to use it with our dining package with no questions asked. I had read that they kept it at $30 per person but that did not happen to us. So that is something I can’t be 100% sure about.
@@peterkapusi5882 I didn’t book a dining package on Apex because it was a short cruise. But I have used them on all other classes of Celebrity ships. I just can’t comment on Apex but maybe Ben or David could find out more information about that. I have always made my reservations the first day of the cruise. Because I have the package, I go to one of the specialty restaurants and make reservations for the entire week right there. They booked them all. It was a very simple process each time I did it. And I’ve always gotten the times and the restaurants I wanted. Maybe I was just lucky. Again, maybe Ben or David could shed more light on that for us. I am far from an expert. I just know what has worked for me.🥰
I love all of your videos! My wife and I can’t wait to see each weeks episodes! I remember when the speciality restaurants were 25.00. Keep up the great work and by the way your friend that goes with you on your trips seems so sweet!
A humble request - that sunset shot was spectacular. Maybe you could give us a bit of a longer cut with some sunset music, just as a wee interlude thingy!
LOVE your experiential style reviews! Brits know their gravy so that’s saying something! They never miss a beet! It was a butter brushed Parker House Yeast Roll from Boston. Originally called Dunfey’s Parker House now called the Omni Parker House. They are also credited with the original Boston Cream Pie! Bonus Factoid: JFK & Jackie Bouvier got engaged in their bar!
Fabulous vlog. You certainly brought back memories for us of our cruise on the Edge last September. Like you, we were so surprised at the quality of Le Petit Chef. We thought it would just be a novelty but were thrilled to know the food was as good as the entertainment of the chef and company.
We are going on this ship in February and your videos have me so excited! I was unsure as it is our first Celebrity cruise as well. I just stumbled across your channel. Great job! You have a new subscriber!!
Awesome videos and production quality guys...me and wifey watched a few of these more than once. We are going on our very first cruise this year and your channel has really helped us make good decisions. Thank you.
Hi Ben & David. Thanks for another “legitimately” inspiring video. The ship looks amazing, as does the food. My wife & I are cruising fanatics, so really appreciate all you do to tickle our tastebuds!!! Rushing off to the kitchen now, as we’re feeling very hungry!!! Our next cruise is June, so girding our loins for that! Thanks again. 😊

I have a cruise to Japan booked for next March on Oceania Cruise line. And have cooking classes reserved for me and my mum called Cooking with heat and fire. thanks for taking us along your trips.
My first (and only so far) cruise was on Celebrity Beyond last year and it's great to see you guys enjoying it as much as I did. The food and overall experience on board was excellent and I fear going on any other ship after that may prove a disappointment!
I have to comment on how much I have been enjoying your reviews! We have the Mardi Gras booked for 4/29 and the new Celebrity Ascent booked for Jan 2024. Can't wait and we feel we have a leg up thanks to you 2!!!
Great video Ben & David. I think I have watched some of your videos 4-6 times each. I just love your honest opinions, descriptive ways and how you both genuinely seem to enjoy living life together🥰🥰🥰. Going on our first Transatlantic cruise on the Celebrity Equinox Nov 2024. It will be our 17th cruise, and our 5th with Celebrity. Thank you for sharing your lives passion with us.
well having just arrived back after 11 days on beyond I can categorically agree with everything you guys have said. And I am already missing the French Onion Soup. My favorite course of the whole cruise.😀
What a beautiful ship. The food looked delicious. Love the animated restaurant. Would love to cruise with Celebrity. Thanks guys. Great video and great info.
My husband and I love watching your channel and getting so excited about our very first cruise. we booked the Celebrity Ascent the suite room so we can take advantage of the retreat and restaurants and mostly just relax🎉
I just found you guys yesterday, I think I’ve watched 5 lol. I love your expressions. Shut the balcony door. What on the seven seas. Such a midwestern US way to talk about things. I make up odd expressions all the time too. Anyway, thanks for entertaining me through my foot surgery recovery 💛
Amazing vlog .. really look forward to them. Our experience w/Celebrity (15 cruises and counting) is the food in main dining is always exceptional. Love the speciality restaurants but find there’s just to much food. They should look at halving the price with smaller servings!
Thanks so much for giving the information about the cooking class. We just back from the class and had so much fun. It was also not in the daily planner so we were happy that you told us about it so we could request it.
OMG! I love all your videos, but this one was a topper! What lovely food and a gorgeous ship! What made it so fun was that I was walking on my treadmill, salivating, as y’all got to dine in style! 🤣 I’m going on my first Celebrity ship next March and hope it will get to be a habit! Thank you both for all you do and share with us!
Ben & David, after months of watching your videos I think this is the one that pushed me over the line to Celebrity with the food and room alone. Thank you so much
When I want sushi at home, I follow Nigella's advice and I cook the rice and the filling and eat it without rolling it. Like Nigella, I do not have the dexterity, but that way i get the flavour at least! I have made modestly successful classic risotto, but I usually do the Delia Smith 'bake in the oven' version, which is in her Winter Cookbook. So much easier, though not quite as creamy. Thank you for the video!
Thanks! We’re going on our first Celebrity Cruise (Reflection) in November. My wife limits me watching your shows because I started calling fries - chips and I want to try baked beans for breakfast.
You are right about the specialty restaurant cost. I used to work for celebrity cruises starting 2008 and the one and only specialty restaurant on the ship was $30. And you got as much or more then you do for the $75 each today.
I really wish you guys had done Le Voyage. It was easily the second best meal I've ever had on a cruise (Remy on Disney takes the top honor, but it was literally exponentially more expensive) and was, as Ben puts it, lovely. Worth every penny. Chef Daniel Bouloud has done a fantastic job. I still dream about that filet mignon.
We absolutely love Le Petit Chef! Would go again without hesitation. Otherwise on the Edge, we were happy with the “regular “restaurants. We were in a concierge class suite (I think that’s what it’s called ) but found the general restaurants as much to our liking as the speciality ones
We have been on Celebrity, since 2001. They are the best!!! The food has always been fantastic. The service has always been way above just helpful. I am so glad that you are take a cruise on Celebrity. I wanted to thank you for your videos. We have not been able to go on a cruise since COVID. We are going on the Silhouette, on April 10rh. I feel very comfortable going, because of you both. Looking forward to your future adventures, cruising. God Bless, Judy
Nice running into you, David, in Cafe Promenade tonight at 19:15 on Symphony! My hubby and I find your vids informative and entertaining! See you around during the cruise!
Thanks for the laughs guys, The food looks amazing, We are booked in Le Petit Chef on Silhouette this month and cant wait to try it, That Tomato dish was just WOW,!!!! 😄😄😄

I do find the quality of Celebrity's food to be really high. I've only cruised on their older ships (Silhouette), and was just so impressed. It really looks like they've 'next levelled' with these new ships!
Silhouette was my only Celebrity cruise as well.... One of my favorite cruises. Beautiful ship , food was amazing! Favorites were Tuscan Grill and the Law Club Grille. Qsine was fun but a little overrated.
So glad I was eating my lunch whilst watching this…. Who usually does the cooking at home? David I know how excited you were to male risotto. ❤. Back few years back I was on RC cruise with my family for my birthday and somehow on my birthday chef chose me to help him make a cake in front of 100s of guests. I was mortified but it was lots of fun. Always having fun ❤

We have cruised celebrity the most, and I agree the food is so good in the main dining and Eden that there's not a huge need for the specialty dining. We do love Murano tho, they do an incredible dinner presentation
We did Le Petit Chef on the Reflection and we thought it was excellent, food was delicious, but then again we love Celebrity! We are already booked on the Ascent’s Inaugural sailing! Can’t wait!
I was so happy to see that Stef is traveling with you gents. I miss her vlogs. She looks so beautiful. My wife and I will be on the Celebrity Solstice on March 11th. Looking forward to sailing with celebrity again. Ben/David you both are amazing, love watching your video.
Food looks amazing, just come from your Royal Caribbean controversial menu vid and it's night and day. Costs though, but looks well worth it. Good review.
"from my head to-ma-toes" brilliant... haha! Made me laugh! Hi guys 34 days until the group cruise!! For some reason this Celebrity video got away from me. Anyhow, I will be on the Celebrity Reflection 15 days after your group cruise and it will be my first time on Celebrity. Reflection has Le Petite Chef and most people I chat with on facebook say they prefer Murano. Now after seeing what you guys ate at Le Petite, all that food looked sooo amazing and possibly the better choice! It's only a 4 day cruise so I will only be choosing one speciality. And by the way, thanks to you two I am now starving! I'm also trying to be good before both cruises. Another great video and WOW, that ship is gorgeous!
WOW guys, this was extremely an awesome video with all the fooooood 😋 You can't get any better than that... My dream is to go on a cruise this one looks superb... until next time happy cruising... I can't wait.. love to you both 🛳❤❤🛳
Ben & David, thanks for taking us through these many dining experiences and venues. Would have liked you to show us the actual menus so that we could see all the options for each restaurant and imagine being there and deciding what we would choose . . . Secondly, you are right to point out that Celebrity is overcharging for these restaurants, especially compared with other cruiselines, and after already having a higher average cruisefare just to be aboard. On Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and even Holland America, the only thing that is anywhere near a surcharge of U.S.$75 is the Chef's Table, which is the ultimate 5 or 7 course gourmet adventure, including 5 or 6 wine-pairings. So that last part alone is worth the cover-charge.....Otherwise, my general observation from the past 30 years is that most of us are very well served between the 4 buffets per day on the Pool Deck and the unlimited menus with daily changes of menu in the Main Dining Rooms...."Ain't nothing like a cruise!"
🤣🤣🤣Your making me so hungry now OMG what a Fabulous evening to have with the Animation ,absolutely Brilliant done 👏 It deserves a Prize 😊 😜. Some of those cocktails looked very interesting 🧐 Great video thank you for taking us along Have a Good week 🥰

I'm so excited to hear your report. We'll be going on the Beyond in November. You both make food reports sound so amazing and fun. I love Celebrity cruise line! Thank you for all you do to help us along our sailings.
Our pleasure!
You both do a great job reviewing your cruise We love your videos & vlogs & of course you both Thank you so much for sharing your experience We have done around 30 cruises so far & enjoy every review & vlog you both do Love to you you both Anne & David xx( from Dublin) xx👍👍💖
Thanks so much!
After watching and listening to your food evaluations, I want to cruise on Celebrity and get the dining package!!
You guys just crack me up! AND you have grear information. AND you both are easy on the eyes!
Thanks Nora! 😳
Best ship I been on tbh for couples! Bit of everything for everyone tho highly recommend 🤘
Food looks amazing, just come from your Royal Caribbean controversial menu vid and it's night and day. Costs though, but looks well worth it. Good review.
Amazing chow😅 Can't get enough of U guys 👏👏👏 Great Good 👍 Show😍😍❤️🙌🙌
"from my head to-ma-toes" brilliant...
That was amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Darlings!!!! That was yummy! I love tasting your dining experiences!! Have a lovely week!
Great video as always guys. We can't wait for our first Celebrity cruise in October. 😀🚢
Love you guys ! I don’t eat much on a cruise butI love to see the amazing the food of class !
Thanks Susan!

You can't get any better than that...
❤wow! Guys your reviews are so incredible. You have become experts on editing and directing! You are simply the best!
