Hi Pete! Don't ever think that people get tired of watching the every day, monotonous chores like feeding and watering the animals! It never gets old, or boring. Not for us watching. ❤
Another wonderful video, I love every part of your Video, I hardly ever watch TV for Watching videos like these n yours are the BEST !! It’s something I look forward to seeing n listening n even at 64 yrs old im learning !!
These videos are the best blood pressure medication available! Relaxing and enjoyable, educational with a side of nostalgia for the way things were. Small family farms, the stuff that is the real American Dream.
I love it when your tractor restoration videos turn into a 27 part series, rather than a 15 minute summary video. I'm interested in the journey, not the finish line. :) Have a great day.
Living in Texas, even north Texas we rarely see a snow that covers the ground. Growing up in Kentucky, I miss that sound and the quiet it gives to the world.
Pete your medicinal voice paints a picture that goes far beyond your expectations. With my newly broken neck I am relegated to watch my beloved Red Angus cattle walk past my bedroom window. You soothe my soul
What a great reminder to embrace life and all the seasons that make up our lives. Thank you for this video Pete. Great timing as we head into the quiet season.
Pete, this video was a gift. As I sit and prepare my lessons for my classes I teach I like to spend my prep hour with you and today's video was very peaceful and calming. Thank you for all you do.
Pete, what a lovely video❤ The farm was so peaceful and serene under the blanket of snow - I could feel the tension just melting out of my body. Your positive outlook and optimistic message is so welcome - thank you 🙏🏻🎄♥️
Something new, engage the brain. So true Pete. I started my work career as a banker, worked for a year in a fast food bar, switched to computer operator, then purchased my first business at 23, a takeaway bar (fish and chips.). That morhed into a year working for a forestry contractor, which lead to me owning and running a business providing labour to big forestry players in New Zealand. After that, several years owning and operating an early childhood education centre. In my mid 40's, commenced six and a bit years at uni, one undergrad and three post grad degrees later, I'm a Psychologist. Now in my mid 60's I'm thinking a couple more years of Psychology then back to the bush to finish my life working on predator control in our native forests. Life is joy and excitement.
Hello Pete. Great video . I know as time passes we sometimes we forget to say thank you . We want to show our appreciation that you take the time to share your life with us. I know it is time consuming to shoot and edit videos but we sure do enjoy them . Please keep them coming and God Bless .👍👍👍👍👍
My neighbor where I grew up, was a dairy farmer . He had a saying ., Summer is for body as winter is for the brain. You nailed it Pete!. Brought back that memory from down deep! Wow. Stay warm. Winter hit southern NJ too..with cold..still dry here. Bad drought. Stay safe Pete.
I grew up on the farm. Lived in the small city now for 50 years. Love your videos. We had chickens and cows.Love and the farm life . Miss it. Thanks for reminding me of home and the good life.
We never miss an episode Pete. Love every one of them. This one was especially fun. We enjoy taking a trip around the farm periodically- looking at all the scenery and visiting with your animals.
I always tell my kids, keep moving forward. No matter where you are in life keep learning, keep growing, its when we become stagnant that we start to die, spiritually and physically... Always keep moving forward. Great video Pete, thank you for sharing.
Hey Pete, Watching this video , started a conversation between my wife and I, I don't know if you thought of or mentioned this , but now that you are restoring the truck, it would be cool when you're done , to put your logo on the side, and drive it to the farmers market. We know that whatever you do, will be fun for all of us, Tim and Nancy in West MI
It’s great to see the relationship u have with your animals. I know they’re destined for the table but giving them a good life is paramount. Which u do. Always love to see Ezra on the scene 🐱
Thanks for taking us along and hope that you have many more years of the "mundane" daily chores. We enjoy moving hay, and feeding (watching) the animals!
Same here in TN . freezing cold and snow! I love seeing your animals even if it's the same routine. Ezra kitty is such a rascal, i'm glad he catches mice in the hay!
I love watching your videos. I always put me in a good mood, but I am now 80 years old and know that none of my family will ever go this way not like the farm life like I did don’t repair any old tractors like I did so this truly is a dying way of life Especially with my family. I feel sorry for him because I know there’s a lot of quite good things out here to learn, but they’re always in a hurry so I’ll watch the videos when they come out and enjoy them thank you so I’ll watch them by myself. Thank you, Pete and Hillary
Well Pete you've done it again !! Yep! you sure did!! You just made my day!! once again, I loved the short shots of silence and just scenes from the farm. I spent the last 28 yrs in business installing Satellite systems. but prior to that spent 15 yrs as a hay Dealer. so got to see at least 3-5 farms a week when I bought hay. and I miss not seeing them. but most of all the people the farmers and their familys. Broke many a bread with them. after loading my truck it was a rule to eat a meal with them 90% of the time they would be insulted if we did not sit down at theri table so had sooo many delicious meals and good times with them. I really miss that. the "Human touch" . Luckily I live in farm country. got a farm less than mile form me. I'm on an old farmstead. so happy here with that. I know how hard it is to make a video. so I reallay appreciate what you do to give a a good one each time and you are successfull Thank you soooo much and God Speed. ECF
Thank you for sharing another beautiful, thought provoking video about the day and life on the farm. You are blessed, which is very clear that you appreciate the perfection of your existence. Thank you, cheers.
I really enjoy the very indepht tractor build videos. Not just the actual work but the importance of each step and why you do it in that order. Would love to see the truck engine build follow that educational flow.
I'm with you, Pete. I grew up in central Ohio and moved to southern California in my early 20s. I've spent more of my life here than there and I STILL can't get used to subtle seasons. It sets a certain rhythm to life that I miss.
Pete, your down to earth, grounded, perspective, and insights are soulful. I greatly appreciate the time you spend putting these videos together and sharing that. Thank you, honestly.
I feel you on being alarmed my development Pete I live in the rural south and I just have always felt so at peace with nature and all of the development is making me so anxious. so iv'e been looking at ways to get involved. Building new housing isn't a bad thing but I do believe American style suburban sprawl is because of it's endless appetite to gobble up farmland.
Loved this "pastoral" video, Pete-and I never take for granted all the thought, then editing, and so on, that go into the making of your videos. You're better at this than most. Good for you. Good for us! BTW, your voice-it's tenor, its cadence is so calming. It's really therapeutic and a wonderful part of what makes Just a Few Acres so special.
So nice to have nice normal stories without the daily drama of the world today. Pete is so correct the way he runs his life, we may not be able now but he gives us direction if you can just fit in a few hours.
I totally agree with slowing down at this time of the year. For me, it’s time to catch up on all my outdoor projects, and I enjoy the post-summer yard and garden cleanup. Truly my most favorite part of the year. I will literally spend all day outdoors 😊
This was a perfect video. ASMR level with the peaceful and calm rythm of your voice, the wisdom, the farm life. Nice portrait of you and Hilary's daily routine during the winter time. Must be so nice to slow down time and get into more personnal projects.
Hey Pete, you just described me PERFECTLY at the 17:05 mark! I too, love to build things, but am also not much of a "maintainer". Once something is built, I will move on to another project, but when it comes to maintaining something I built, I find myself dragging my feet. Along those same lines, I love to do the "building or constructing" part, but I am not to hip on the PAINTING and FINISHING part! It just seems so mundane to me. Even when I was building cabinets, all was fun and games until I had the boxes complete! The finishing part was such a headache for me! Anyway, I loved the video, and it makes me miss being at my property. The holidays really interfere with my time at the farm. I am looking forward to cutting some trees and work on some more habitat projects, weather permitting! Take care of yourself and Hillary!
"Be still and know thyself." Ah ... the quiet of winter, especially the first snowfall, the chill in the air, the crunch of snow under boots, a cup of hot tea or cocoa, delicious homemade soup, the crackle of a live fire, the aroma of burning wood, the bright, crystal clear night full of sparkling stars, children making snow angels ...
Oh, for Pete's sake, it's midnight here in Australia. I need to get to bed. I see the lull of winter as a Hiatus, Pete. Hiatus, noun, a pause or break in continuity in a sequence or activity. "there was a brief hiatus in the war with France"
Thank you so much for this video! Just what I needed after a couple crazy days here in Michigan. God bless you and your family! Be safe and keep warm!❤

I am excited to watch Pete and wife,
Well said.
I absolutely love watching Pete and Hillary. I’m just jealous that I don’t have a place like theirs 🤗
And do not forget to mention Patty and the Herd. I can watch this channel without any boredom.
Another wonderful video, I love every part of your Video, I hardly ever watch TV for Watching videos like these n yours are the BEST !! It’s something I look forward to seeing n listening n even at 64 yrs old im learning !!
Between Ezra's purring and the sound of the cattle munching, I can't think of a more calming way to spend a frozen morning.
And looking over your shoulder at a cats butt 😂
I thought the cat's name was Astra, but maybe I'm wrong because I'm not native English

Pete's voice and cadence reminds me of Mr. Rogers. Very soothing and relaxing. I think it's good for my blood pressure.

It's days like this that remind me that I'm no spring chicken. Enjoy your videos and living vicariously and warm.
Us southern boys see very little snow in the winter so it’s nice to be able to watch it progress on your farm.

Good morning, Pete and Hilary. I have to say, this is probably my favorite video yet.
Snow is beautiful…the quiet tranquility of this time of year. A farm, winter’s snow….simply gorgeous. Enjoy your break Pete.
I'm with you, Pete. I grew up in central Ohio and moved to southern California in my early 20s. I've spent more of my life here than there and I STILL can't get used to subtle seasons. It sets a certain rhythm to life that I miss.
This is a happy good feeling video Pete!

Making good content is a lot harder than folks think, and even harder to present.
Nice edit, Pete. Thanks for sharing another chapter. -EZ
Farm life mirrors our life. Seasons each with their unique character ❤
The Autumn sense of urgency it fun followed by the slightly less stressful winter. When I finally have to retire i will miss that.
Thank you Pete.

Great video Pete. Yes winter on the farm is a great time to reflect and refresh your spirit.

Devorced from nature…. Perfectly put. Ithat is my time in life right now. Thanks for taking me away if only for a few minutes.
A video like this makes me think your channel could really be a successful TV show. It’s just wonderful. ❤️
Good day to all.
Always good to slow down and take in all that nature gives us. 👍👍👍
Hey Pete, that last statement about winter was spot on. Slow down in life , think about where your are and where you want to be with a positive attitude.

Howdy Pete! I could not agree more with your ending note about always find something new to engage your mind, and keeping that "Life long learning" motor running, as they say! Thanks again for another walk through a day in your farm life!!
I did enjoy this video, Pete. I'm not so big on the mechanical stuff but I love visiting the animals and the country side. The sound of the snow on your boots as you walked took be back to my childhood. I called it "squeaky snow" and you knew it was cold when you heard that sound. The best of the season to you and yours.
I absolutely enjoyed this video, Pete. It's so peaceful and relaxing to watch you and/or Hillary with the animals. I will never tire of it. I hope civilization doesn't encroach on your farm. When my husband died, I thought I was selling my farm to an individual, but it turned out to be a developer. When I realized that, I tried to back out of the deal, but they said they would sue me. Now my former farm/woodland is a subdivision. It kills me to see it. 😢💔
Hi Pete, I always enjoy your videos . I'm sitting here warm and sipping hot coffee, watching and remembering my time on the farm that now seems like a lifetime ago. Have a Great Day. 😊
Hi Pete and Hillary, this is my favourite kind of video where we get to be an audience to your heart and your mind where you walk through your farm explaining your thoughts and your processes because not a lot of us live on farms and farm life is a certain kind of way it’s good and it’s tough and most people in the world’s. Their jobs are at an officer in the community, which is a whole different world from a farm a Homestead anyway my heart is full after watching your video. Thank you so much for sharing your days with us and even trying new things that would stimulate you. It’s very creative and effective and I’m sure I speak for everyone that we appreciate youboth. Thank you.
I just love the tranquility of the farm! Yes there are the busy times! But the tranquility of the Christmas season is so delightful! Merry Christmas Pete, Hillary, and family!
Wise word in the snow.
Very glad you are doing what you feel is fulfilling your purpose. 🤗
