Black was definitely the right choice for this one, though it might look cool over blurple, too. The pink and blue were giving off distinct Lisa Frank vibes. Very 80's.
I was thinking the same thing about the Lisa Frank vibes, especially with the flake over white
Looking at the speed shapes at the end, black is the ONLY base for this flake. But, I'm thinking it would be the PERFECT match for Musou Black.
Fierce pink was my #2 because to me it resembled candy. I think it would make a really cool promotion car for pretty much anything.
I like the red, a candy would probably let it pop more.

The flake over black was nice, but the flake over aluminum and gunmetal gray were the best for me! Blue was also great.

I will give it a 5 out of 5, I think it would look best using it as stripes or highlights instead of full coverage. I love the speed shapes at the end it gives you a good idea how the flake behaves against those colors, for this flake darker the color the better I say.
I am with you on this. I was thinking like thin pinstripes, but instead of brushed, sprayed. Maybe even like a tribal like design.

Black was by far the best choice. Amazing results - the wife saw this and wants her car painted now.
This flake is the ONLY acceptable option for an all white, silver or mirror like colors. Becuz you can actually see from a distance

They really should make purple a standard color to test over, because it's such a wildcard.
If I had the money I'd get you to do a car with that for me, it looks incredible, the only thing I'd change is I'd have more coats!!! I want the full disco ball effect! 😮

The new thumbnail looks good! This definitely looks like a bass boat, in all the right ways. Close tie between black and gunmetal, but I think black is just that little bit better. Thanks for showing it on all the different colors!

I'd be proud to drive that wild thing! I'll take dark rainbows all day, any day. Beautiful. A white base would require a unicorn hood emblem, I think. Pink would likely do a good Hello Kitty motif. The silver base looks like a set of pens and pencils some of the girls might've had in Jr High.
I love the holographic flake! None of the bases shown were quite what I want but I REALLY appreciate the chance to see it over other colors!

It's an easy 5 out of 5 for the flake over Black but it's a clear 5000 out of 5 for the flake over other coloured speed shapes!
The flake over Aluminum looked amazing and could work really well on a set of alloys, I also learnt that the flake over Hunter Green is a big nono for me!

I’m glad you showed the speed shapes at the end. I was curious to see the silver. I figured the flake would be dark. It looked okay, but I was surprised it actually looked interesting on the white.
It looked like the flooring in a hospital or elementary school on the white. Interesting, but once I realized that I couldn't unsee it.

Back in the late 80's in high school. A guy painted a 70 Chevelle a dark green with boat paint flakes. You either loved it or you laughed your ass off at it. It definitely sparkled when it ran under the street lights. Too bad the idiot cruised it around in first gear all the time. Wanted everyone to think he had more under the hood than what he really did.
5. I love this. It's so trippy, and it gives texture almost like a pattern, makes me thinks of alligators,snakes, lizards, even like scales. It's pleasing to the eyes and just makes me think so many cool things. Thank you

I think I would love to see this sprayed over a lighter base with a candy color mixed in as well to see how the dye changes the holo effect of the flake. I'll go 2/5 for me as it sits over the black alone.
Bro, the black base straight up makes it look like you're recording the car through a Thermal camera, what an insanely cool visual effect that looks way better than expected. Definitely a really cool/good result!

This was absolutely insane!! 5 out of 5. I think I liked it best over aluminum, gunmetal, and black. Would be cool to just do the flake over the top side of a car. Not the sides. The effect worked best over the hood in my opinion. Keep up the videos. Always look forward to them every Friday
yep those were my 3 too.. i was a bit let down with the red..i was hoping it looked better
I kind of figured that it wouldn't work well over colors after seeing that it had a full color spectrum shift. Any color you put it over, it will just mute that color out of the shift and oversaturate the effect. The dark green didn't look horrible. I'd actually like to see it over desert tan!?

Looks like the topcoat I used to use over black or gun metal gray nail polish back in the 90s.
The aluminum, gunmetal gray, white, and black looked the best.

Yes! Return of mega flakes! I love giant flake in factory paint, it's sorely missed in recent decades. I would actually prefer this to not be holographic, just metallic, or chrome flake. Throw it under a candy clear, and call it good.

Just WoW! I think using this as a highlight on just the hood & roof & maybe the wheels might be more practical & unique. It's cool but it's just SO busy. As a project in general I'll give it a 5.
It I were to do a full car with this I would use 1/2 the sparkle. Just seems a bit more black/space would better highlight the colors. What a lovely product!

I need this in my life! I’m a nail tech and this is like the pigments I use in my salon. I love this flake over every colour! The black is the most eye popping result but over that pink! Wow! since it's only 3 days you might still have the S4 with that coat ... put a medium sized holographic pearl or flake on top and then after drying a very fine/small one, so 3 layers of successively smaller holographic madness... now is the chance, might even be the right combo for "the mother of pearl" which on white was very subtle, but with 3 different size I bet it will be mind explosion stuff coming out :D

The black was definitely the way to go, and also perfect quantity flakes. On other base colours, I think you will have to add more flakes. That being said, I'll take the pearls over this. 10/5 for your efforts, as always, and 2/5 for the flakes. Btw, the Gunmetal base looks nice too, but then again, more flakes are needed for any base other than black.

A catfish Camaro in this color would be sick!
Now THAT is a holographic car. Nothing else has even come close to looking like that. 5 out of 5. Over black is nice but I think some cool effects could be done over silver maybe.
