I'm getting these on my dually they come in Friday can't wait to get them installed thank you for making this video I live in the PNW so it rain a lot here.
I've got a full set of 285/75/16 AT3W's and they've been pretty good in the Northwest region. My curiosity is piqued by the updated model for sure! Thanks for posting!!! Also jealous you have an off-road park in your backyard(ish)!!
Nice video having way too much fun. My main concern is taking a hit with mpg. I have 23 ford f150 with stock Hancock tires getting 19 mpg mostly highway. What are your thoughts regarding decline in mpg ?
These are SL rated tires for those wondering. At 14:40 you can see the “116T” load rating on the sidewall. The LT (C, D, E) rated version of these tires have much wider tread gaps and they have 5/32” more tread than these. They are also much heavier, may not balance as well, and may have a much stiffer ride than these.
I've been looking at these and according to their website the LT version is actually 3/32" deeper tread and 53 lbs. vs. the 45.1 lbs of the SL version. LT has 3 ply sidewall vs. 2 on the SL.
If people are looking for skinny 33’s in 255/85R16 and don’t want a mud tire but AT’s for good on road manners? This is the tire to get. Good stuff man!
pretty sure i am going for these when my Toyos wear out in another year or 2. More weight than most MTs, C load rating, hopefully translates into plenty strong sidewalls at 12 psi.
Im getting some installed Saturday cant wait. Then week later small lift on 23 Tacoma. This way i will get the feel for the tires before the lift. Going with the 265/70/17 vs 265/65/17 on trdsport. Stock tire are ok. But i have camp in woods & they dont cut it
@@SidehillDisciples yea I wanted something I could take off road if need be, pull the side by sides, and still be able to daily around 100mi a day back and forth to work… Plus it’s basically a 35 so it’ll look way better than stock lol. Still kinda shocked how heavy they are (67lbs a tire, 12lbs heavier than the Toyo ATIII’s)
I live in hawk7ns county,tn in mt carmel. Where is this bays mountain off roading park licated from knoxvile,tn? Want to drive mt 2024 colorado zr2 down there and go four wheeling wirh you sometime.
The mpg remained about same for me(maybe a half of a mpg difference on average at most), and I went from 33 inch AT3W's to 35 inch AT4W's, so my guess is that if I had stayed with 33s, the mpg would have been exactly the same or even better. The AT4W's have a a bit less rolling resistance and the compound is harder. Not hard, just harder than the AT3W compound. They equal out for the added weight, makes sense. Also, the tread design is different and seems like it gives you more surface area. The side blocks are also much larger. It all makes sense. I have 8k miles on these now and love them. Idk man. To each their own though. 🤷🏾♂️
I won't be buying AT4Ws. Falken pushed me out of them, they are too heavy now for anything that isn't a half-ton truck or better. Looks Like I will be a KO3 buyer
I came for a tire review and left with a smile because of how much fun you were having. Thanks!
❤ thanks man glad you enjoyed it was fun :)
And the ridiculous looking tattoos.
Thanks I guess lol
I have no idea how I ended up here, but I’m glad that I did. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride! That hill climb was wild lol.
Thanks for the watch and support yes video does no justice lol haha goodness yes it was wild. Glad you enjoyed

This video has helped me make a decision on the tires I'm getting for my 4Runner. Thanks, man!
Heck yes your welcome 🙏
At 12:37 I was clinching up watching you and laughing. Great footage.
Haha good stuff thanks for the comment

Great video. I'm jelly..lol having fun that's what it's all about.
Thanks for the comment. That's what it's all about fun😊
Just got home picking up my truck from the shop. They just installed the same tires and put on some Bilstein 5100s. Drives pretty nice so far.
@reconman7812 thats rad wait till you get off-road they rock!
Here for the AT4 review…enjoyed the ride!
Thanks man I sure appreciate it

Heck ya I was gonna get those and these came out so I figured I would get them from all the things I have heard
Have you ever tested mickey thompson baja boss at tires? Ive narrowed down my search between the falken wildpeak at4w and the baja boss ats
Man I haven't tested those yet but those were on my radar too :)
Good video, thanks. What load rating?
Thank you so much just the mid size truck load

I might’ve missed it in the video but what size did you go with? Im looking at 285/75/16 but theyre heavy as hell. Great video!
Thanks man they are 265/75/16 just got them for weight and economic reason but ya man they are awesome
Yeah man the 285 are over 60lbs 😭
The only reason I’m undecided with
What PSI do you run for highway? Or just daily use, and are your tires and wheels stock size?
I think i was running 32psi something like that
Watched your video on these tires and going to t get these for my 2022 Nissan Frontier SV ty
Heck ya thats rad you will love them thanks for the watch
Just got my set on my.colorado trail boss 3mpg loss..smooth.quite..looks good way better than my 3 s
Just ordered a set of these in 285/65r20s for my ‘24 Silverado

Ya man I would see what the weight is on the Toyo... these Wildpeak have great gas mileage
@@SidehillDisciples they do look awesome not gonna lie, I'll definitely be checking them out at my local tire store 👍🏽

Is your truck lifted or is stock?
It's stock
I wish we could get Tacoma's in Australia
Oh man I you could too
You was making the transmission scream going up the hill, but good Video
@@stoneycarter5546 yessir thank ya
Are you running P or LT rated tires?
The mid size truck load so light load which ever that is
@@SidehillDisciplesThere’s a huge difference between the SL and the LT rated AT4W’s. You don’t know which ones you ran here?
Drives a trd with new tires and backs out of a small hole. If you’re scared to drive it don’t!

Are the load range e tires?
What are e tires?
He meant E load tires vs SL lol

How much do they weigh?
Why is that funny?

Depends on the size, my man. The KO2 and KO3 are both heavier than both the AT3W and AT4W in my size.

Toyo AT3 are lighter than both the AT3W, AT4W and KO3.
