I love making bows im 15 i make bows with live trees and force dry the wood over a fire and i can make some good bows around 40 pounds i think

I just recently got into trad archery. I worked on farms in my youth throwing 80 lb bails of hay, slinging tobacco the whole nine yards. In my 40s now and highly over estimated my ability and got a black hunter 45 lbs limbs... way to heavy. I can shoot it but absolutely no control. So I low balled for 25 lbs limbs... way to low... I shoot it daily but the lbs are so low that it has little power so my accuracy sucks. Then I got an ilf sanlida bow 40 lbs. I can shoot it well about 20 times then my elbow holding the riser starts to hurt.. not a fan of ilf so far. Silenced up and it's still loud as hell.. I'm saving for a one piece oberon... saddly gonna go for 35 lbs. I know it's wussy weight.. but I'm 5'6 120 lbs wet 43 years old.

How old are they? My 6yo lightweight daughter I’m scared it’s too much recoil. She’s only been shooting 22 so far

5:25 I used to swear by head down shots, until I saw a video of a guy (can't remember the name, but I know he's big in the compound world) talking about head down versus head up, and what he said made a lot of sense. It boils down to: the neck is a lever with the fulcrum at the center, so when a deer jumps the string with its head down it whips its head up, simultaneously levering down its lower neck and back ridiculously fast in getting to the cervid equivalent of a sprinter's stance. When its head is up and it jumps the string it will still drop into that stance, but its back and neck can only drop at the rate of acceleration caused by gravity without the leverage of its head snapping up like that. If I ever manage to become a decent enough hunter to test both theories I'll get back to you. 😂

Im dreaming of doing an elk hunt next yr not even getting to deer hunt this yr got a pulled muscle in right shoulder, looking at surgery next month October to fix. Trying to figure out what areas in utah have the otc tags can you help me. If not i understand also a fellow Tennessee guy

Im an instructor at a big club in Australia and out if all the bows i have i usually pick up the black hunter as a demonstration of what a good enough bow with a good string with the right arrow can do. The grip is more of an adult male size. They need a small grip version

These are SL rated tires for those wondering. At 14:40 you can see the “116T” load rating on the sidewall. The LT (C, D, E) rated version of these tires have much wider tread gaps and they have 5/32” more tread than these. They are also much heavier, may not balance as well, and may have a much stiffer ride than these.
