Not sure if anyone has suggested reviewing Chris Duffin's "bearfoot" shoes. He puts alot of engineering into his strength products (Kabuki strength) and I'm interested to see if that carrys over into his shoes.

INOV-8 zero-drop is a my choice for the gym. Very light and well-made.
Nice review, but isn't the very front of the toe box a bit too narrow? Will it cause bunions, or is it actually wide enough to splay the toes?

My toes splay without constriction wearing them..I wear toe spreaders without issue..but the midfoot is tighter/more rigid than my other shoe reviews.
I bought these and had to send them back right away, as they're quite narrow at the front. Even more so than my old Adidas, Reebok or Saucony semi minimilist shoes. Got some Xero HFS's on the way instead. A pity, as these Inov-8's look awesome and we'll built.
Perhaps you got them when they ‘updated’ the design - I got mine in 2021 and they were perfect but are starting to fall apart in the sole of the right shoe so I ordered another pair but very disappointed that it was narrower, less flat and thicker sole

How do they compare to the merell vapor glove 3 ? I bought the leather version and I liked it, but I wonder if I should buy a vapor glove 3 leather again or if I should switch to Inov8 bare xf. (I want to use my shoes for everyday activities and sports)
The Inov8 are not as roomy as the VG3... also I am a big fan of the styling of the VG3, just that the mesh material is not durable at all.
If the VG3 leather worked well for you, I would stick with that.

If they fit you well. These are narrower than most barefoot shoes.
