Hey lovelies💕 Here's a little short film I've been working on creating all summer long! Most of it was filmed in Bali! I hope you enjoy it and that it inspires you to live authentically, to lead with your heart and to always tune yourself within. Your intuition is your greatest guide. 🦋 I love you!! 🌸

I skipped out on college and then became a stay at home mom at 23. The side eyes I have gotten (7.5 years later) have been fun. Now I am trying to go back into the work force and I am struggling BUT I wouldn't take back staying home with my babies and not going into debt for a degree I may have not ended up using.

Sweet mermaid, you are so right. People, go out! The World is big! I was "searching" myself until around my 30´s . Working (in different cities around Europe), traveling....With 34 I decided to go study. Now I have a Bachelor title from Law and Business Management (saving money for a Magister). I loved it so much! To study. Now I can help my parents, my friends with "reading" the Law or the terms and conditions in their contracts. And I am very proud of myself. So no worry....you can decide any time in your life to go back to school...or not XX

Wow Helens that's pretty sad that your family would turn their backs on you because you wouldn't do what they wanted. I think you've made a wise choice. Hang in there.

I don’t believe in being a “college dropout.” People just pivot and choose to leave college because it isn’t for them. That’s a #adulting decision. At least that’s how I see it! 🤔😊

Helena, you hit the nail on the head for me it was the same I quit after my first year of community college. I just felt it wasn't right for me I wanted to travel and figure out what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to own my own business which I have for the past 20 years! You are so right it's foolish to expect kids to know what they're going to be doing for the rest of their lives coming out of high school! And traveling and figuring things out on your own makes you so much stronger and you really do figure out your skills and it sends you an a totally different direction! Great video I wish this could be shown to parents and kids of high school age!!❤

I love this message so much. I went to community college but did not go on to a bachelor's degree and I am So glad I did not put myself into that kind of debt!! I needed to hear this message to have courage and put oneself out there and not be afraid to fail. Creating my UA-cam channel has been a huge step of courage and willingness to fail and/or look silly to my peers (I was even made aware of some people who were supposed to be friends making fun of me 🙄). I'm taking that courage and applying it in other areas of my life as well! ✨️ You always have such wisdom to share Helena! Thank you for being a beacon of light in this world! 💖

    I appreciate your story &
    Your encouragement to others
In pursuing life, as desired with or without college degrees.
I want to add my story of driving to Peru from the state of Colorado.
We were filmed more than once, along that journey encompassing 2 fun-filled years.
The film documentaries were about how to succeed in life without a college diploma.
    We felt honored.

Labor Day Weekend in CA😊. Im off today and drinking my Trader Joe's coffee while feeling surprised with your new video.😉. Good morning lovely Fairy with that beautiful white dress on. It's amazing how in 11:47 mnts you covered so much, and all so so true when living in the USA. As for me, I did everything backwards(marriage and baby right after High School, then College)or, I should say, that's what I chose at that exact moment. I went to Community College for so many reasons, but one of them was because I had to work full time to support my daughter(after a terrible divorce battle at 22) so I could only attend College at night 7pm-10pm, just because I was living with my mom, and she was able to care for my daughter while I was in school trying to concentrate after having a long day at work😝 I earned my AA in Liberal Arts with Honors and after 4 to 5 years going part time. My problem from the beginning was that I was undecided with a career, so I took so many classes in search of my "niche?" they called it in the 90s( now "passion") until one day one of the counselors stopped me and said, "Let's go to my office and pull out your records. Im sure you have enough units to graduate". She gathered all requirements and I got my AA that year.
Im 58 now, single and not available😅🤣😂, doing self discovery, working independently, thinking of relocating in 8 yrs(you got room for me🙃?), and truly enjoying every single day to its fullest before-during-and- after work🤗 Have a magical day, my dear Helena, and say Hola to Alex for me😉.

People drop out of college because education is so expensive. If it was cheap you could do both - study and have a part time or even full time job or even do internships and experiment. In India, I didn't even realize I completed my bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and auditing. I also had a full-time job because I enjoyed earning money and I bought a small apartment while I was still studying for my bachelor's

What a delightful and insightful video.....finding your true self....listening to your inner being, hopes and desires. Life is a forever learning process and each of us has to find their own path. As you have not allowed others to mold you into their standard, you are free to be. I enjoy your videos...They are delightful...How do you support yourself? When we stop learning and exploring we stop living. (Char)

Sad college has become so expensive. I paid for a four year university degree, living in the dorms all years, by waiting tables in the summer. That's how reasonably priced it was. College should be affordable for those who choose to go. No one can ever take that degree from you.

University of Leipzig is one! There's a great one in the north of Norway too for film studies specifically. I recently met a young woman in Norway recently that left the USA and went to school in Stavenger and now lives there and owns a little shop :) I believe there's a program in Lille as well

I 100% agree with you about community college. I went straight to a university when I graduated high school in the mid-90s. I was there for 4+years there before deciding it wasn’t for me, dropping out and jumping into the world of adulthood. I have always said that if I could do it again, I’d go to a CC straight out of high school and then travel and explore the world before deciding whether or not to attend a university and what to study.

It's never too late Hun. I am 32 and I am getting university classes. As long as you are alive and well there is no limit to what you can do. I also do not have the support of certain family members, etc., but you know what we have God, and we can achieve anything. Good luck on your future endeavors.
