    Year 2 teacher here. I just need to say that ALL of your videos have been the most helpful out there. I work in a district that would be considered more “difficult” and I have been able to maintain an orderly and structured environment because of your videos and advice. Thank you Eric!

    nice lesson but it is hard to apply it in class room with today kids as a bad and silly generation that s why i strongly believe that the perfect way to make students behave well is the stick that will mark their butts do u agree with me eric

      BM, I would like to tell you that I teach English at a catholic school and I am dissapointed with them. They don´t want to study anymore. Only smart phone is good for them. Nothing call attention. I am feeling a complete idiot in a classroom

    • @etacude
      @etacude  2 роки тому +4

      I don't know, BM. I grew up being in a time when teachers could use corporal punishment, so I don't mind it.
      But I believe that it should be possible for teacher to teach and maintain discipline without needing to hit students.
      I realize that there are some horrible classes out there that most teachers would struggle to teach, but there should be a way.
      That's why I started the channel, to share some ideas on how to do it. :)

    All good sound advice and practical tips.. One important point - insincerity will be sniffed out at 100 paces by your students! Your interest in them as individuals and their skills/interests and hobbies beyond the classroom must be genuine! Kids can spot a fraud easily!

    I totally understand the humor part but what if you are not as witty with words. I think we need some hands-on tools for those teachers who have a hard time and feel under pressure when educational videos keep saying “be humorous”. For me it stresses me out, so I’m trying to find other ways to be myself and built a good relationship to the students

    • @etacude
      @etacude  2 роки тому +1

      Humor comes down to yourself and what you find funny. Look for sonething that stands out with your students. I usually compliment them on it or show it off.
      I find ways to share my experience on the topic. Don't force it. Look at comedians, that look at a situation and just by sharing it, it makes it funny. Think about how you joke with your friends, the same type of humor applies to how your students experience you. I hope this helps. :)

    Also, please explain how to do science fair projects for grade 3 and 4? Should they be done in school or home?

    • @etacude
      @etacude  Рік тому

      I haven't done a science fair by myself before, but I'm sure they should do it at home. But can do some of the planning with you at school.
