1. Show to give not to take.
2. Authenticity engages, use you. You have to know yourself before you ask, audience can feel reallyness
3. Awareness connects you to the audience. Situation awareness, sometimes things will not go as planned.
4. Audacity, it informs and inspires. You have to be bold in order to deliver something that is informative. Deliver a story, Story has a capacity to paint a picture in a human mind. Never tell a story without making a point, never make a point without a story.
thank you 👍🏼
Thanks for this.
Thank you!
Thank you for these notes
Thank you!
Practice may not make you perfect but no one expects you to be perfect. However, putting in the time to prepare will help you become better and feel less nervous on stage. And if you use these 4 tips you’ll be well on your way to becoming amazing!
Great tips! Such an uplifting video. I couldn't agree more, practice is such an important part of the speaking journey. I think speaking is a great opportunity to gift your listener with something meaningful that they can hold on to - be it an important lesson you learnt, a new perspective or even hope.
M
Practice makes persistence
Know your topic amazingly well.
I want to become public speaker ❤
"Show up to give" - what a genuine gem!! I got goosebumps, Simon Sinek.
1. Be real
2. Be flexible
3. Be bold
4. Use a story
Great Thanks
I did my second speech today and my audience keep asking me if I give presentations as a professional, this made my heart smile
Proud of you bro, amazing stuff!
The most important tips for public speaking.
1- Be a giver, don’t think of taking from your audience or to be followed or rewarded , best speakers are there to give and they wait for nothing not even your approval. Show up to give.
2- The 3 As for public speaking:-
A) Authenticity engages
Be yourself , speak from the gut comfortably and be real. Powerpoint, no powerpoint you decide not others.
B) Awareness
Situational awareness, Be aware of your audience , the atmosphere , be fluid and mailable, play on what is happening.
C) Audacity
Be bold even if you have fear, do that by delivering stories. Stories are powerful. The story draws brain pictures. Top Ted talks come in stories.
Thank you for this

More powerful than speaches: ACTIONS!
That’s great news, in my Ted x I went from one story into another, into another, into another. The audience was fully engaged the entire time. I’m so grateful I worked on it every day for seven months.
With your Briteside name, Did you happen to take Jess Ekstrom’s course. I’m thinking about it.
Simon provided so much MOTIVATION. He was literally enjoying himself and along with the audience, I was captivated. I am excited to get up there and make it happen....keep the motivation coming. MOTIVATION!!
I struggle with public speaking because English is my second language and I'm naturally an introvert. Im in my career where I want to be a leader but to be one, I need to be a great speaker. Im trying hard to better myself everyday.
fake it till you make it
I can relate. It's hard if you jot English 😔
Don't underestimate your language this is what Austria taught me .I had to learn German to live and work here but on the other hand I realised how English has destroyed the rich heritage of literature we have in our own languages .
To all who has English as second language or third language, practice more and more. If you know the subject feel Confident. Don't think what people think. You are in a Giving Mode....
Embrace your fear and let it make you sharp . Fear reactions are what spike our adrenaline and let us deliver at our top performance, IF you can stay cool and in control of it. Combine that with preparation, practice and you'll kick ass. You wanna lead? LEAD, brother. Show them what you're made of.
You guys are lucky , you already speak English so some of these phrases are natural for you , for some like us English is a second language and so you need to learn the language and then the speaking .
Some of the best commentators I watch, English is their second language. And I'm not exaggerating. Don't let it slow you down.
Don’t let it be an excuse. You can do this.
1. Show Up to Give.
2. Authenticity Engages.
3. Ask me and close people.
4. Awareness feel the audience.
5. Rock with the Situation.
6. Boldness, Passionate, Full Power telling your Story.
7. Make your Point with the Story.
Excellent. Thank you
The first tip that I took, really awakened my senses. To give, not to take. I’m giving a speech for a school competition, a religious topic, and I’m just so focused on impressing judges, getting an award, and making proud. I’m just concerned about how I deliver my speech. But to give, it made me realise, my first objective must be to inform and educate my audience and judges. I must concern myself with what I deliver in my speech. And then, my objective to win, and proud, must drive my potential to educate others. Great video, thanks!
How did it go, Syed?
Syed! How did it go?! 🎉 I also love the idea of giving ✨🙏🏼
Honesty is key in speaking as well as telling your own experiences where ppl can relate and think he or she did it...
With that you leave ppl with that hope SO CAN I🙂
Assalomu alaykum
Wish me luck guys ,
I am in the 2nd round of Public speaking contest in front of hundreds of people. I am feeling nervous 😬
Everything will be fine 🤗🤗 Insha'Alloh
Wish you best
I hope it went well. All the best.
This is common and don't care about what others think
Think you are the best 👌
How did it go???
I hope it went well. Was it about toastmasters?
I showed up to my Ted X talk to give some good information on how to communicate effectively with disabled people, I got a standing ovation, that was on Saturday and today is Monday. I am still in disbelief.
Wow! Bravo keep going now don't stop ..btw,. I have given a speech. No prep. Just from the heart. It surprisingly went great. I had the entire room laughing. The energy I got from the audience was magnificent. I literally couldn't feel my legs when I was walking away I felt like I was floating. .
I’ve wretched this a few times. I’m going to watch it a few times more.
This is very poweful.I always feel different and nothing. Having low self-esteem and social anxiety. Now, I know my value and about to awaken masses.
This public speech motivate me to be a better person and a better speech writer I was so shy and nervous but not anymore when I watch this video I cry because what the young gentlemen is saying is true dont be afraid believe in god u can do all things my brother and sister Just believe .
Yeah this black man motivated me Also 👌❣️
There is a magic pill called PRACTICE
Face your fears, beat them and gain experience - like TV games
O'SSÉIN - Master Your Mind With Me Practice is key!!
Like driving a car
It's not like driving a car. Driving a car is easy. Life is a bit more complicated. At least that's what my dog says.
Thank you. Be all that you can be. Don't believe fundamentalist religions. They can be very bad for one's health. Ruined my life. Utterly ruined my life. Have a good one
@@stupidtreehugger huh???
@@stupidtreehugger What drugs are you on?
Speaking in it's entirety....is all about the audience...the WIIFM..whats in it for me. People don't care how well you speak, the sound of your voice, your body language, pitch , pause or pace. All they care about is how much you care about them. When you understand this, when you understand it's not about you up there....you'll be an amazing speaker.
Thanks for this!
i am the first autistic miss international jamaica and i love serving others especially those who need me couple months ago i listened guy at ''2:29 I also had a speech to deliver at a girls homes last month as a part of my miss international jamaica altruism efforts and i decided to not prepare a speech i had listen his speech and decided to be authentic because i have a story and a big heart , and im so glad when i left they were hugging me , they remembered my name , they took pictures they cried and i was so happy cause i didnt talk at them i spoke to their hearts and using my own story of overcoming stereotypes from i was a child and being abused and left behind it is my proudest moment so far 💓ered
Literally cried when the second guy spoke. Now that's how to deliver a public speech!
He's so authentic, Isaac serrwanga is also one of my favorites 🌹♥️🔥
How wonderful it was to sit and listen to such power and authenticity! Thank you.
I have been practicing an intentional life, and it's truly life changing.
practice is the key, if you trust yourself you can make everything. People says speaking is hard… i think we practice it could be easy. I feel inspired, thank you for speech.
In addition to the key elements given, I noticed you engage the audience by looking them in the eye, use your hands and walk to create interest, pause for effect, and repeat certain things for deeper impact. Well done.
True
"I dont need anything from you.. even your approval."
Mindblowing. I've been living my whole life so apologetically. Woah.
I'm so inspired. Like, you literally opened my mind and showed me the bigger picture that resides in public speaking.

Thank you for the motivation speech ,im a young public speaker and in need of improvements, i found out this talent
In the 7th grade and in the last 4 years
Ive been improving but in need of more motivation to be a proffessional in public speaking
Public speaking can be an effective way to engage and captivate your audience. Here are some tips to help you hook any audience during your public speaking engagements:
1. Start with a powerful opening: Begin your speech with a strong and attention-grabbing opening. You can use a captivating story, a thought-provoking question, a surprising statistic, or a compelling quote to capture the audience's interest right from the start. For example, if you're delivering a presentation on climate change, you could begin by sharing a personal experience of witnessing the effects of extreme weather conditions.
2. Know your audience: Research and understand your audience beforehand. Tailor your speech to their interests, knowledge level, and expectations. This helps you connect with them on a deeper level and ensures that your message resonates with them. For instance, if you're speaking to a group of entrepreneurs, emphasize how your speech can help them overcome common business challenges.
3. Tell stories: Storytelling is a powerful tool for engaging an audience. Use anecdotes, personal experiences, or case studies to illustrate your points. Stories help to create an emotional connection, grab attention, and make complex ideas more relatable. For example, if you're giving a motivational speech, share a personal story of overcoming adversity to inspire and connect with your audience.
4. Use visual aids: Visual aids such as slides, images, or props can enhance the impact of your speech. Use visuals to support your key points, add variety to your presentation, and make complex concepts easier to understand. Ensure that your visuals are clear, concise, and visually appealing. For example, if you're presenting data, use charts or graphs to visualize the information.
5. Engage with the audience: Make your speech interactive by engaging with the audience. Encourage participation through questions, polls, or activities. This creates a sense of involvement and keeps the audience actively listening. For instance, you can ask the audience to share their own experiences or opinions related to your topic.
6. Use humor strategically: Appropriate humor can help to break the ice, lighten the mood, and establish a connection with the audience. Incorporate relevant and light-hearted jokes or humorous anecdotes to keep the audience engaged and entertained. However, ensure that your humor aligns with the tone and context of your speech. Avoid offensive or divisive jokes that may alienate some audience members.
7. Maintain an enthusiastic delivery: Show enthusiasm and passion for your topic throughout your speech. Use varied vocal tones, gestures, and body language to convey your message effectively. Project confidence and energy to keep the audience engaged and interested. Your enthusiasm will be contagious and encourage active listening from the audience.
8. Keep it concise and structured: Structure your speech in a clear and logical manner. Break it down into sections with an introduction, main points, and a conclusion. Keep your sentences and ideas concise and easy to follow. Use signposts and transitions to guide the audience through your speech. Avoid going off-topic or rambling, as it can lead to disengagement.
9. Use rhetorical devices: Incorporate rhetorical devices such as repetition, metaphors, or rhetorical questions to add emphasis and create memorable moments in your speech. For example, you can use a powerful repetition of a phrase to reinforce your main message or use a metaphor to make a complex concept more relatable.
10. Practice and prepare: Rehearse your speech multiple times to become familiar with the content and delivery. Practice in front of a mirror, record yourself, or seek feedback from others. This helps build confidence and ensures a smooth and polished delivery. The more prepared you are, the more comfortable and engaging you will be on stage.
Remember, engaging an audience requires careful preparation, effective delivery, and a genuine connection. With practice and these tips, you can hook any audience
Didn't know chatgpt had an UA-cam account.
So, @jota, if someone has to start on for e.g. on People Management, can he start like this :-
" Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen , my name is Johnson and I on my behalf and on behalf of our Company, Johnson and Maria PPL, welcomes you all for this one day training program on People Management. Then show slide as MODULE -1. In the next 20 to 25 minutes we will have an introduction and overview on People Management."
Will the above opening is just ok or Good or Very Good.
Your views, opinion and corrections, etc, please.
Very good, remember to tailor the opening of your presentation based on the context, audience, and specific topic you are addressing. Practice the opening to ensure a smooth and impactful delivery.@@l-74

This is the most motivational speeches I have ever heard, made me cry, helped me so much with my student council speeches, having it next week Tuesday, this helped me a lot! Thanks!
This can help me and others to keep going in life we should know to stand in our feet!!😊❤️
"Situation awareness" the best part of the video
This was so motivational and so helpful. I'm realizing there is a gift of speaking inside of me. I'm embarking into a public speaking journey. I've always had a voice and have received compliments since I was very young. I'm so nervous but I really want to get become a professional speaker. Thank you!
You show up to give.
3 A's Public speaking principles:
Authenticity engages- you need to know yourself before you go and ask for advice . Listen to yourself first.
(Situational) Awareness connects the speakers to the audience. Know your crowd. You can play on what is happening.
Audacity informs and inspires. Be bold. You can't half-step in your presentation. Story is powerful.
this is fantastic❤
This was awesome. The way the dude talks freely in front of lots of people just amazes me. Like, he is just- just, bold. Unlike me. The thing is, I'm really anxious in the public. Like, all my body just freezes, and refuses to move. My mouth literally goes dry, and i just forget what i have to say and blurt out some shit. And i feel like people are criticizing me. If i say something weird or mess up, i just feel like the crowd will literally hate me. And it's not only the fear of crowd, it's fear of making new acquaintances. I guess I've got anxiety disorders or something like that. So now, I'm trying to work on myself, and change for a better side. I hope, one day, I'll be free and confident.
I'm a natural storyteller now I need to drive the point, with practice of course. Great advice.
Solid advice! The game changes the moment it become more about the audience and less about you as the speaker. Connection over Content
U r amazing, thanks for sharing your ideas now I can keep certain points in mind and prepare before professionally communicate to public.
Great information readily available to institute today. Thank you!
If you are willing to do only what’s easy, life will be hard. But if you are willing to do what’s hard, life will be easy😊❤

Knowledge of Subject or
Clarity of subject is the main ingredient or the most powerful driving force behind any good confident speech.
Then comes your vocab, use of gesture, eye contact, humour, honesty, envolvement etc which serves as the spices to enhance taste .

Authenticity is important!
Because most times, it's easy to spot a fake; this can end up ruining the perception of an audience towards a speaker.
I found this helpful.
Thank you very much for sharing.

This is great ! Very helpful and inspiring ! Thank you very much
Yes, i believe too, the speaker does not need anything from audience, the speaker is giving the audience, is a thought that helps the fear to vanish. Just believe that each person in the audience owes you 10 bucks:) you will feel better!
