I love how they added those building blocks for certain skills to activate. In MH. I never knew I got air spin until a monster threw me up which only happen once every 10 hrs of playing.

PSA for anyone looking to try this out through an EA Play subscription: if you also purchase the game, the 10 hour trial will no longer work, at least if you buy through Steam. EA messed something up big time here, but you'll be okay to play the full 10 hours if you do not also purchase the game.

far too often i’ve seen people crap on a game because they compare it to the game they feel it needs to live up to rather than engaging it on its own terms.

The karakuri building system feels similar to Star Hawk in some ways. Karakuri are faster to build, but the necessity and strength of the tools are felt like in Star Hawk.
I loved it also! It's getting a bad rap in a lot of places at the moment due to PC performance based on the trial. I thought it was pretty good on the PS5, but it didn't matter, because I loved it also! The style, the setting, the design, the katakuri, the environment and using zip line networks. Glorious! I look forward to more videos from you, and I am hopeful the game will do well over time, especially with creators like you and Cowboy embracing it.

I've played a lot of MH and its dodging i suck so bad at and that is not lack of trying, but WH dodging I am so on point and makes me feel so good. I love it and am dumping my life into it.

Well of course it isn't like a typical hunting game like MH :P It's Toukiden 3 in everything but name. The developers mentioned this in a Gamespot interview. Some things from Wild Heart I can see myself liking such as the Nodachi and Maul but the only buildings I would care for is the bonk hammer and any pinning or trapping ones otherwise it's a mechanic I would rather do without. Personally MH6 is what I'm looking forward too more unless Capcom screw it up. Such as making the combat faster or like this game. A game like Wild Hearts should stay like Wild Hearts and a game like MH should stay like MH imo. Otherwise what's the point if all the hunting like games homogenize. I don't even have a Series X yet anyway so couldn't even try the trial if I wanted too. :D Seen streams of it though and some things are cool but others I'm less impressed with. I am heavily biased towards MH though (played since 2005) with the only other "monster hunting" game I tried being Dauntless which I find meh and that's gone downhill.
Say that to MHW fiver that call MH before World or World 2 and the other monster fighting game shit. Agree that other MH like games shouldnt be MH clone, but MHW fiver "UwU monster as part as ecosystem UwU
the jump in quality from toukiden to this is quite huge, doubt people would be nearly as interested if it was just another sequel to an honestly quite mid monster hunting IP

@@Jonathan-fw6ty It's made by the same developers and in a interview they basically said this is a spiritual successor to Toukiden and that it might as well be Toukiden 3 except in name.
Really hope they fix the bullet-time bug and add a few more monsters over time. Otherwise its pretty fun to play.

I just bought the EA pass to try it out, and i'm loving it too, my computer is having a bit of a hard time running the game unfortunately, but this game looks extremely good.

This game is Omega Force taking everything they learned with Toukiden 1&2 and Attack on Titan and turned it up to 11. This game is full on nimble Anime style Hunting FRREEDOM.

I really want to believe in this game. Just like when I tried each of the weapons in MH, it doesn't click at first, but if you really try it, all weapons are really fun. Before 3U, I didn't gave a real chance to all weapons, but now I like all of then, and I want to do the same with this game.

Man, I wanted to like this game so much, but there's something just off about it. Attacks feel weightless. Animations seem too fast (Fast, not smooth). Each hit does not produce the same oomph as MH weapons.
An EA game that doesn't look half-baked and unfinished in 2023? Say it ain't so! Still going to wait for a proper review before burning 70 bucks on it though, that publisher has well and truly lost my trust.
As long as EA doesn't do some bs, this could be a nice gem
Let's be honest. There are two options. A the game does well or worse and EA cancel all future updates. Or B the game does amazing and sells 10 billion copies and EA immediately sink their claws in forcing you to pay $2.99 per potion you drink
