Simple enough. I quickly got my eco going and pushed via the river crossing with knights, rams and swordsmen. Didn't even pay attention to their navy. They just spam your towers but don't transport over any ground units. The 200 pop limit here is a great help. You can build loads of TCs all over the map and not have to worry about your original base. EDIT1: Wuttt??? OrnLu went the navy route here?? I would've thought the land push was easier considering you can continue to boom eco as you advance forward.
I did this in 38 minutes today. Just go champions with trebuchet on land. They startet building the wonder when i was already inside their base and just under mine nose XD
this is actually extremely easy is you attack early. i just grabbed a few starting vills and army and dropped a castle just outside their base. if you are staying outside their range they are doing only small counterattack with infantry. boomed up at home, bought tower upgrades to defend against navy and spammed gbetos and trebs from my castle. steamrolled them before they even started builindg the wonder.
Interesting strategy - guess I did it the hard way by fighting up and around and attacking where all the treb and onager traps were. A huge army of Cavs and throwing rock girls did the trick. Also bomb cannons were huge in sniping the dumb orange trebs This scenario also finally proved to me how insane OP that Cav attack bonus is holy shit
I made a bunch of ships especially fast fire ships as the enemy has a lot of war galleys. I attacked through their docks & cleared out all the castle & towers using the cannon galleons. That way the path to the wonder was the shortest with least defence. Then my army of elite gbetos, pikemen, trebuchet, bombard cannons destroyed the wonder. I focused on pikemen & elite gbetos because the enemy had a lot of infantry & cavalry & my units easily killed them. I didn’t waste my gold on heavy cavalry at all. Then after the wonder is destroyed, it becomes chill to slowly destroy the enemy at your own pace. But, mostly I transported my units over to the other side as it was faster & easier. PS: My enemy was completely on the defence, it didn’t attack me on my base at all! This gave me the focus to be on the offensive all the time without making my base defensive.
I found this pretty easy actually: 3 TC boom, 1 castle at the northern end of my area. Then cav archers, light cav and a few trebs did the trick. I did not even touch my ships the whole time. The initial towers defended everything with ease. Nothing special IMO.
If you punch a hole the wall, it is quite easy to attach from the front. I won it in 40 min which was not bad. AI is very bad as it spends all it resourced for the wonder
Yeah, I tried the navy way, but couldn’t destroy the wonder in time. So I tried it the land way, and I spent 1 hour and 58 minutes (normal time, so more than 3 hours and a half) to kill him… I managed to destroy the wonder when it had 7 years left, and after that we both run out of gold, in the meantime he destroyed everything I had on the little island and whatever was in a cannon galleon range. Rebuilt economy, raiding him with light cav. I managed to end him when he ran out of trees. After 20 tries on Alaric sack of Rome achievement (the one you have to destroy all castles in 30 mins), did this in 4 hours… man I’m bad at this game
That's what I thought. For some reason, they thought cannon galleons were a bad idea. It's close to impossible to take down the wonder in time without a strong naval support.
You know, I am loathe to execute my loyal peasants who built my empire out of sweat and blood. I'd rather Microsoft replace the skull button with a "home retirement" one or something like that :/
This one is so hard I have to rewatch Ornulu's video
The same map as the one in age of empires 1 when facing Pyrrhos of Epeiros.
Its almost an exact copy in regards to terrain
@@YolaethYeah noticed that as well. It's identical
Those fortification towers remind me of Lake Poyang
I love how AOE2 Theme OST plays...

Yep, but with the navy route you get all that gold and stone + you can bombard all the coast with the cannon galleons. So worth trying both :)

Koumbi Saleh is in modern-day Mauritania.
Do you have a list of all the campaigns ranked by difficulty?
trust me in HD edition its looked harder

Hmm, Phyrrhus of Epirus from ROR anyone?
Needed to start in Feudal age for true effect - 0/10 wouldn't play again 😂
I thought the exact same thing!!
this mission on hard is pretty easy with your will and the power of micro anything is possible
the fort white mosque of Domba which as a name The roar of the lion
Isn't the next one Ivaylo ?
In AOE2:DE you don't get the cannon ships so it is impossible to attack by sea. I think they broke it.

I don't know what you guys are on about, you can build cannon galleons in the scenario
@@zaga9602 I can send a screenshot.
@@johncardussi Me too, before you do anything though, did you research chemistry at the university right? you can't build cannon galleons without it
@@zaga9602 Yep. I researched everything. There were no upgrades left in any building.

When possible, i prefer follow history. Hand gun, knights and cannons on the ground in napoleonic style.
Difficult and no relic.
