Garrison vils in greens closest tower to get to other side. They jump in even with the one tile of palisade. Then built massive eco on other side and put castles everywhere over there before converting red.
This mission siege towers still work for villagers teleportation through opponents' wall to collect all resource. Transports ship was prohibited because of transporting villagers to another side of the map to mine as well as build lots of castles or something else in opponents' base. Not because of cheated conversion. You can check that you cannot train mangonel as well. They were banned for preventing players being well-prepared before war start.
You didnt win the mission when you killed the leaders because its a secondary objective, if you look closely you can see it has a silver tick box and not gold, but anyway good video as always!
Enjoyed watching this run through. Especially liked how you didn't give up on Diu but used it to push inland. Also very imaginative use of a siege tower -- to scout around? This is probably is more in keeping on how the devs intended the scenario to be played out.
Before i converted Alberquerque, i built a castle infront of the ottoman camp to 98%, parked my units there...when i converted Alberquerque, i finished the castle and jumped in with my units and let the castle deal with the ottomans and their camp ... you can kill all canons direkt with the castle... and have better control over everything which try to attack you.... a 2nd castle at the other crossing point helps too... but you need a navy or cannon galions snipe your castles
I tried this on HD and it's much fun and harder without the transport ships. Although it's needs to be walls and towers In the northern bridge and southern shadown after you convert the purple unit
In this scenario Red is neutral to you. So you still have the cheesy way of having villagers wall in units (so they don't escape conversion or counter attack) and destroy walls/towers. ^^ In my game, the hero was actually the last unit I converted. xD
i just did this mission today, basically amass monks and jebait one to open the gate for you and make a mad dash with all the monks to convert that guy. it was hilarious and a bunch died but it was worth it
Destroying wonder is way too difficult now. AI units are way more buffed up. The enemy fireships dont die easily, and each one takes out 3-4 galleys before dying. Also AI sends way more fireships to me than shown here.

Never needed transports to get to the other side of the map. The easy way of using greens towers still works
Bro ur channel is so underated. You deserve a million subscribers

I really enjoy these especially your pacifism series. I can see this channel taking of real soon
I just watched both versions of this mission back to back...great vids my man!
Keep up the good work up bro. Recently discovered your channel and hooked on it ever since.
I enjoy your AOE2 videos. Still my all time favorite PC game!

By the way- if you’d like to read a good history of this period I’d suggest “Conquerors” by Roger Crowley
I almost thought you would play this scenario without any kills lol.
that achievement was actually quite easy to do, although I had to load a lot - converting all othe runits made it not too hard to get that guy^^
Hmm.... I'll miss those transports for other reasons. Having to slug through the Green and Cyan Player to get to Purple is gonna be a pain.

"cheating" using normal units for a good strategy is cheating nowadays?... ok...😐 😐 😐
Very nice video. Loved it. I am also wondering why my trebuchet lost the blasting explosion effect after chemistry while it has before the tech?
Do you mean a visual effect or the actual way the Treb deals damage?
@@T-West Hi thanks for the reply. I mean the visual effect. I lost it after researching chemistry
@@wentao8086 Oh, I'll keep an eye out for that, then. Haven't noticed that myself yet, but maybe I just haven't known to look for it.
I think for the Portuguese it should be a Feitoreia only challenge

I am just playing this and it's updated again you can't even build a dock until you deal with red

Monks are always worth it!

I did this achievement by accident the first time I played. It's pretty straight forward to convert only units.
Hey I dont see this achievement on the list! Was it removed?
It's still on the list that I see when I check it.
I wonder why Almeida sound like Arabic name i found a town woth same bame , its mean highland
