The abbreviation menu for all the effects and other functions are a bit of a nightmare sadly this lets it down a bit, l could go for a bigger unit RC 600 500 but actually no need this would probably complicate the workflow, the 202 is my best friend 🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for this video. I owned a rc 202, and after that a rc 505 mkii. I now use loopy pro on IPad and it opened so much possibilities! I love it! You can configure everything you want, and create the setup for YOU! I sold my rc505 lol maybe you should try it 😉 by the way I give some sound meditation sessions and have some recordings on my UA-cam channel, you can watch them if you want, it would be a pleasure and an honor if you tell me if you like my work 🙏❤ have a wonderful day. Nicolas.
wow!! i have never used loopy pro or an ipad for looping but i have heard about it. seems like a really small and neat setup! sounds so cool with the sound meditation too. will defo check it out😍🙏
Thank you so much for the tip! I have since bought a 2nd hand iPad instead of a new RC looper. I also see that one of the sample projects on Loopy Pro is mimicking a RC-505 with all the channels and FX 😅 I did used to have a RC-30.
Hey Manda, thank you so much for the Video. The answered questions were really helpful. But i got one more question: Are you able to plug in two guitars into the RC 202?
it got two 1/4 inst jacks in the back. one is mono, the other stereo. so practically yes, but i would want to use the stereo input for guitar. alternative is to use a mixer for unlimited instruments👌
Short answer. Yes get the Boss RC 202. If you can afford it, then get RC 505. If you want a cheap instant looper for on the go then get the Koala Sample and cheap add on packs. Also get a USB C to Mic cable and open up some really cool possibilities.
Thanks for the vid! I am still confused on how to record loops straight into my DAW. I have the RC-202 attached to my computer via USB cable, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any chance we could get a step-by-step run through of how to do this in a future tutorial video? Thank youu :)
Thanks Manda for this video! 👍 But I think the main question was not asked - is there a magic button on the looper to create a super hit on the first try? 😁
hahaaaa SHOOT i forgot to answer that😅😭 the button is located in between the knob of the back of the middle side under the magic setting, then just tap the value knob twice and voila. easy!
I found your channel by accident l suppose, was looking for information on the boss 202, I’ve had this looper for about 5/6 years it’s the main hub of my setup, my setup may sound strange to most people, l don’t use a DAW due to bad internet service here in the new forest area in the UK, everything gets recorded into the 202 then l put the stereo track onto a Boss BR 16 Cd recorder, then l can build up more tracks, by adding guitar and keyboards, The initial ideas start with an ipad app called Blockswave drums bass spacey soundscapes or any kind of music you can think of, working with the iPad and the 202 is far more rewarding than a PC I’ve found over the years, l find it difficult to sit in a chair for to long back problems so chilling on the bed with ipad 202 guitar and various pedals and other loopers all at hands reach is great, looking forward to hearing more of your music Nice 😊😊
Hi Manda. Great Q&A. You inspired me to buy a RC202 last year. And I do not regret it. on a different note: may I compliment you with your English pronounciation?
I have an RC 505. I suck at looping and use it mostly to practice with myself. Of course I saw videos and thought, I play guitar, bass, piano and drums, so this should be easy, right??? Well, no. Looping is a whole other world. I am thinking I could have gotten away with a 202, but hey, Black Friday deal was too nice to pass up 😂. Anyway your skills are amazing, wondering if instead of the 505, could you get another 202 and just chain them together?
omg would love to have the 505 MKII! you dont suck!!! everyone needs to practice🧡looping is a new world for sure... a lot of work involved finding the flow, timing and creativity. but the learning curve is so fun to me, learning new things all the time. congrats on the 505!! about chaining together, im pretty sure thats possible, but i wouldn't do it BECAUSE im also craving for the volume controls that the 202 lack. KEEP LOOPING🤙🔥
@@MVNDA thanks, but I disagree! I'm pretty bad 😂Maybe not bad, just boring. But you are right, that comes with time and getting creative. Of the instruments I play, the looper is the most difficult (yes, I classify it as an instrument and not just gear). you are the best 202 looper I have seen (and I've watched a lot), I imagine if you get a 505, it will up the game quite a bit for you!!
it takes loads of hours of practice to find the flow, just keep at it and you will see. wow that is so kind thank you! i really appreciate that😀yup guess if i would love to level up with a 505, it would feel like such a luxury to me haha @jamessullenriot
hi,i have this question.i want buy this product , i want use it for dj set live ,use the loop live int he same time with the signal from master,is it possible to use it in sync? is it possble to listen the loop before in headphone?is it possible regolate the volume of loop from the big knob?thank
if you're interested in the BOSS RC-series i would suggest to go for the RC 505 for live performances. that is because it got 5 stereo tracks instead of two, and also volume controls (the RC 202 doesn't). i don't know if you can sync the 505. you can't listen to a loop before it hits the output what i know of, what you play is what you get☺ hope that helps a little bit!
im pretty sure you can record without it too. but im using an audio interface to record my live looping performances in my daw😀👋 if youre only looking for the looping you can use the RC 202 only🫶
Hello Manda! I bought an RC 202 Loop Station... I very happy, (I followed your advices) but I can't find one funcion, in fact, I don't even know if it exists... It is a function to waiting before start to record. Like I press record boton, but until there is no sound comes into the console it doesn't record anything, a funcion in anothers pedals Boss RC. I read the manual for parameters and functions and I can't find. Do you know if the 202 have it?
hello!😊 you need to connect the usb cable to connect to computer/daw. to get the midi picked up by the boss rc 202 the signal needs to be routed in the daw and the rc 202 settings in USB mode. have never used the MCB beats so i dont know how they connect!
FELLOW LOOPERS😍comment your favourite feature in the BOSS RC series!👇

Hi Can you load samples into the 202 and then trigger them ? super helpful video 🙂
How
Do you do volume control/fade ins/outs of the loops?

Hello. It's not clear to me why a separate usb audio interface is required when the 202 already has a usb out. Could someone explain?

ciao complimenti . posso collegare il microfono direttamente all 202 ? o devo passare dal mixer? ho un mackie vlx 8 come fare dal mixer se necessario?
