    I resonate with your journey and I am on a similar path.
    I’m transitioning my music into an offering to God.
    I also struggled with addiction and substance abuse that caused a great deal of damage.
    I love to see the progress you have made. Thanks for your inspiration brother.

      505 over the 300? if I'm on guitar and percussion and other things? ... i am using most my guitar rig on the ground... but do you think with the switches at your hands .. for a guitar player/singer.. thats also looping with bass, uke, keyboards, drum pads... do you think the 505 over the 300?
      thanks

    This is brilliant! First of all - a great setup that is really well thought out. Secondly, a very nice explanation of how it is set up. And thirdly (and most of all), a great performance. There must be a hundred steps to make that performance work and you did it perfectly. Truly amazing.

    Beautiful. I also have the RC 505. In the learning hoops to figure how I can use maximize my Roland synthesizers performance. I usually use my synthesizer which have the effect’s built in I need. But I figured the RC 505 can help give my music a modern edge.

    This video is exactly what I've been looking for! I've been scrolling through videos of rc 505 trying to find how to best route everything (where to put mixer in chain, how to connect guitar/synths etc) and this is the only video I've found that actually gives me so that info. When I saw who was in it I correctly assumed it was my best bet. I've seen some of his performances and they're actually what inspired me to get an rc 202 (will upgrade when I can) and a novation circuit. I'll probably use my mpc one instead of the circuit, but now I know the best way to route everything. Thanks! Awesome performer!

      William you will be very happy with your new boss RC 505. People are saying it is the best one available and I can believe it. I noticed several people are asking about how to MIDI sync it with drum machines. It is so simple it's not even funny. You just link them together with a midi cable and they figure it out on their own. Everything seems to auto sync with tempos also At least that's how easy it is with my equipment.

    Great video Reinhart. This is one that I can really appreciate especially since I just bought a boss RC 505 Loop Station. An incredibly awesome machine with unbelievable flexibility. My Rig consists of that as well as my new Behringer Model D also extremely impressive. I also have a pair of wk-3000 workstations and a Yamaha shs10 keytar. It is all midi. There is also some pedals and a couple Mike's with effects petals and of course the mixer. I record to a Tascam DR-05. if I ever were to be bored I suppose that will no longer ever be a problem. Lol. Thank you and great job!

      Hey Joe and Reinhart, do you have any info for how you use midi with your rig? I’m just getting started with this. I use Ableton loads and would love to figure out how to use MIDI to trigger the start/end of the individual loops.

    • @JoeSmith-zi3bi
      @JoeSmith-zi3bi 5 років тому +1

      Rob, I'm not sure that I can help you much on that considering the fact that the only thing I use a computer for is to store my digital recording files. People find it interesting how that my very high tech sounding music and Beats are made with no computer attached. In my setup I use the boss RC 505 C and a pair of identical Casio WK 3000 digital synthesizers and the Behringer Model D 3 oscillator analog synthesizer. Then occasionally I will bring in my beloved red Yamaha shs10 keytar. All of it is connected through MIDI. I can set the tempo on any of my devices and all other devices will match and synchronize automatically. Both wk-3000s, the boss RC 505 and the Yamaha shs10 all have their own built-in drum machines. I can trigger the starts and stops with the Synchro start stop features that all of the drum machines have built in. I can use either the start-stop button on any of the drum machines or by just pressing a key. I would assume that if you go through the menus on the boss rc-505 or the Appleton live program and make sure your midi channels are matched accordingly. . . Then there should be an easy way to accomplish what you're trying to do who is triggering start and stop looping.

    Loved this, mate! Would you be willing to do a step by step "how to" video (or video series) that goes more in depth on each piece of this set up, and how you configured them? I.E. "This jack plugs in here and runs to there and is responsible for xyz...", "I place this before that so I can better control xyz...", etc... I'm a hobbyist and this just looks like a super fun set up, but Im afraid I haven't the faintest idea how you put it together after this vid. Awesome playing by the way! Best wishes regardless!

      @@ReinhardtBuhr I'm just rocking an RC 3 foot pedal with a Marshall Code 100 right now. (I actually just got the code 100, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it yet...) I plan to sell the RC 3 for the RC 505 with the dual pedal add on like you've got, but I'm not too sure where to go from there. I'm thinking a decent P.A. may ultimately be what I end up having to play through, but Im not too familiar with them yet either. I'd like to get a mixer, but don't know a good one from a bad one (or how to use one). Then ideally a drum pad/beat machine that has an actual pad I can play with sticks. Possibly a mini-keyboard as well, but that's a bit further down the road.
      I'm basically as green as it gets with all this tech (if you can't tell), and I can't find anywhere online where someone's tried to dumb it all down for the newbs. If you did regular Looping Tech 101 tutorials I'd be forever in your debt! I also think it could take off on youtube, given the high quality of your videos. Again, anything helps!
