First of all Zhi Heng, congrats for finally being able to put a stop to this university hunt! As a November 2023 a level graduate and will be going to an overseas university next month, I could emphasize with your story and I must say, your university application journey has been with numerous ups and downs. With that being said, I'm sure you made the right decision in the end with a more mature mindset after your gap year. Thank you very much for sharing your journey with the world and im pretty sure the future aspiring university applicants will benefit a lot from your videos. Please continue making videos and ofc, all the best for your studies in Taiwan!!!

Congratulations Zhi Heng! I've been following your videos ever since you talked about your experience applying to Oxbridge. Your videos were such a breath of fresh air for me because you had the courage to talk about rejections and struggles. It really offered me some perspective (and a bit of comfort) on how even high-achievers face their own set of difficulties like the rest of us. It is not an easy feat to talk about 'failure' or disappointment, and I applaud you for doing so because your story offers a side we often do not see. It is amazing how you turned your disappointment into something positive through sharing your experiences with us.
I just wanted to say that you are proof that success-driven students will become successful no matter which university they go to, and it is the character of the student themselves that matters so much more than the name or prestige of their school. Thank you for sharing your stories, you've helped me and so many others so much.

You sound like an honest student of economics .
I was just going over the concept of a state space , as it exists in quantum mechanics , …
The use of brackets to denote a random variable - and in quantum mechanics , this is re - understood : ‘ called ‘ , an observable .
Not an event : the event subspace of a random variable equaling a particular value ( poisson ( lambda) counting 5 dog shits ) defines an event subspace one may assign a probability to.
I was just thinking about what the difference between an event space and a state space is , fundamentally ( if such a dichotomy may be made ) .
I haven ‘ t come to a conclusion: I graduated from Oxford a few years ago : feel free to visit my tree , in New .
I just got done ( it took me the entire day using the concepts of dirac : which argues heuristically in terms of observables - which I still can ‘ t claim is exactly the same thing fundamentally as a random variable)
In the most explicit sense , the event space Omega may be nothing other than C ^ 2 : spacetime .
More sincerely , it may be put there whatsoever to respect a spiritual sentiment of simply there existing a deeper facet of the person that may
‘ be a statistic ‘ : of course the full set of 1 - parameter ( real ) distributions that exist of all the random variables that are seen as practical :
    Your height ,
    You wealth ,

Why not simply have theoretical distributions , that are simply nothing other than real sequences ?
    And then say the variable X = 5 ….
My personal belief is one should NOT , after assigning such a value , that that is anything other than projection from a fuller space of information :
A pure heuristic reason for using the random variable concept .

Hi, just found this channel recently and it’s fresh for me to see this kind of content, as a student who will be applying to University next year I find your content helpful! So i just have a question in my mind after scrolling through some of your videos, which I don’t think you’ve talked about it. I’m curious about why you didn’t pick Australia’s University as a choice since they have some of the most prestigious universities too. Hope to hear your reply. Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Thank you for your video suggestion. I actually applied to Australian universities before during my first year of college, but I doubt I'll make a video talking specifically about these universities, mainly because I don't know a lot about them. Nonetheless, I definitely look forward to sharing more studies and university-related content!

Hello Zhi-Heng, great contents! This video struck me deeply, as I actually had the similar problem recently regarding choosing universities. I plan to apply for MA history programmes at Leiden University, Freie Universitaet Berlin, and University of Vienna. Courses and environments are much the same for me, but I wonder how you would choose if you were me. Thanks!

Hi, thank you for sharing! Unfortunately, I have very little knowledge of the universities mentioned above, so I couldn't compare them. But I definitely heard of these universities, and they rank very well in international rankings. I hope you can make up your mind on which university to attend, and all the best to you!

The type of reasoning Dirac entertains :
    ( ch . 33 : the gibbs ensemble )
    ( for an ordinal sequence of states | m > : the
    m th state )
The average value of any observable ‘ beta ‘ when the system is in the state m is
The norm - squared of the state …basis - scaled by the observable ….
There is the nature of regime here : that without this basis transformation ( the brackets denotes nothing other than a dot product : its an inner product space : the space of states ) …
In particular , whatever number this is : in a more standard context there would be no ambiguity : this is the 5 of the random variable
X is Poi ( lambda ) that counts the number of times my dog shits on a walk , acting on a
    walk - space .
So , he ‘ s certainly suggesting with this regime ( which is not other than a vector space , a formally , euclidean linear space ) that there is a power to his abstraction that the standard approach of using random variables cannot access easily : this is the topology that one finds in the intro - to - probability ( maths 1 st year ) ….
    I suppose , if one tried to match these two regimes : one would call the event { X = 5 }
    With the state | 5 > …
And one may lucidly see here there are distinct subtle implications about which one is more fundamental :
    (1) the state
    (2) the observable ….
Which is a comment on the nature of the distinguishability of a system of particles …
A pure heuristic reasoning on this concept is how he defines the fermion and the boson .
The poisson random variable , in the standard context , is all one need to see : the is a characteristically unique presentation to the question of : how distinct ? And are they all same ?
This is nothing like IMO combinatorial knowledge

Haha, the stereotypical self-hypnotization of Taiwanese again. 🤣 the best the best….
But, it’s very cheap to study in Taiwan…would be one of points.

@@gorillachen9256 I'm just trying to be supportive. There's not really a "stereotypical self-hypnotization of Taiwanese", it's more of a thing called "being proud of where you come from." If you perceive having pride in your own country as something negative, maybe that speaks more about you and your inferiority complex with your nationality than anything.
