- Settlement Survival mini Tutorial Let's Play UA-cam series where I show some of the content and game mechanics of Settlement Survival. Settlement Survival is a survival city building game that is slated to come out later this month. I start a new settlement on the hardest difficulty and explain the core game mechanics as I play. I received the game for free, gifted by Gleamer Studio, the developer of Settlement Survival.

Bad news friends, there won't be an episode 3. Episode 1 and 2 was recorded playing a pre-release branch of the game and once the game released it updated where my old save files won't load anymore. Sorry all!

Don't know if you still read messages but just want you to know that these videos where you play through and explain at the same time REALLY helps a lot. You go beyond the standard let's play by actually explaining as you go along so thank you and I hope a lot of your other videos sort of follow that path and explain as you go along. :)

@@Divide21 I actually have Endzone covered, but if you're thinking about Endzone I think I prefer Surviving the Aftermath over it .. just my 2 cents. I've got videos for both.

Now that the game has had its full release and theres been a few minor changes, i would love to see a new series playthrough. Ive followed along with you on many other playthroughs. Rimworld, Clanfolk, against the storm, wandering village, surviving mars etc.. And by far you are my favorite to follow. If you don't, thats cool too.. But an updated run i think would be the bees knees!!

I actually can't. The game updated and my save game files are not longer valid to load. I'd have to start all over again, which I don't plan on doing.

Definitely enjoying this series, so much easier to follow and the explanations of what and why you are doing things is very helpful. My big mistake, always, in any of these types of games is I build too fast and end up with everyone just dying off.
Expand too quickly and you'll starve. The same issue with Banished, of course.
@@Rhadamant yup lost count of the number of times I died in Banished. I liked to plan ahead to far, or, I never put a cap on population and any time my houses were filled up I would just add more houses. I love these kinds of games, but I am terrible at them, hehehe

This series is great, thank you. Would love an update given the more current version of the game - though I imagine much of this is still applicable.
Question - on the fields, (ignoring the map boost), is the output based on just the size or would the number of people matter as well? Like if you've enough people to plant and harvest the whole thing for the size, do extra people do anything for it? Or is it just the concern of having enough people to take care of the planting/harvesting in the growing time period?
I ended up having more fields but only 2-3 people working them (no map boosts in that area), and they seemed to get the task finished. But now I'm wondering if I was dropping my yield a bunch since I didn't have more people and I would have been better off having fewer fields but more people on each.

Your church is blocking the clinic entrance
This series is about 9 months old or so, just an FYI
the doctor jump over the wall to get to the clinic so he get foot fracture :D . and the next doctor was an ex priest so he just pray at the ex doctor foot fracture until the end of the vids (the ex doctor just go back and forth from her house and clinic just to get another prayer) :D

can you build a lage castle for this little kingdom? it is a beutifull city in the making! cant wait to see how it wil grow and expand :) are the any guard stations to combat crime or bandits in this game? dont really need a full combat with unts but just the building to make the town seam protected :)
edit; is that a rimworld city at the end :O witch playthroug did you build that??
So there's not content like that in this game, no bandits and no need for big walls. Its just a peaceful little settlement that struggles to survive.
