I seriously thought I was the only person to make burgers like this. People don't understand that this combo with the egg makes the burger ridiculously juicy.
Made these the other night, and they were an absolute hit! Perfectly cooked (I ALWAYS overcook hamburger when I try to grill it 😑), incredibly juicy, and very flavorful, especially considering the lack of salt seasoning. Made the meat more savory than salty. Oh, and microwaved leftovers the next day were every bit as juicy 😋 I think I'll experiment with some basting/glazing with various flavors (love pineapple on my burgers, so a very light habanero pineapple glaze woukd probably be amazing), but hot damn, this is some solid bedrock to build from!
This is my FAVORITE smoked burger recipe! I still remember the day that I made them for the first time…. Still one of the most impressive and underrated things to put on a smoker
These came out fantastic. I doubled up on the bacon ( don't tell my cardiologist) so that it looked like spokes going around the burger. Topped with sharp cheddar and honey barbecue sauce P.S. I never knew you could stretch bacon
Like the vid but being a long time griller I always put the “divot” in the patty you know why. And I also like to fold the 4 corners of the cheese…Stays on burger thicker! Yes I just bought the CF 36 SG! 👍
I just did a riff on this tonight on our XT24 (Camp Chef). 225, hickory pellets (I admit that they're old and kind of sucky, and will get them out tomorrow), 75 minutes, and with 1lb 80/20 ground beef + cheddar squares. The result was fabulous, but again, but non-janky pellets could've been even better. Thanks for doing this, and it was a perfect to get me started with our new Camp Chef (last night we smoked Italian sausages). Oh yeah, and since I rarely make burgers, I used the Weber patty press for the sake of uniformity.
@@AndersonsSmokeShow yeah for me venison is about 75 % of my protein. Really need some recipes on fixing sides on the pellet grill. In this heat trying not to use the stove or oven. I did cornbread it was awesome
