🎉🎉🎉 I was there at that gig it was epic awesome amazing band 👌😎😀 total musicians and Michael hutchence omg omg omg what a front man 🙏♂️👞 totally awesome brings back the memories 🎉🎉🎉
INXS at their prime right here!! They were one of the biggest bands in the world at this time. Known for their live performances. 20 years of hits for you to explore!! That crowd participation rivals Freddy IMO, not as technical but I think that's why the crowd participated more.
You are showing how YOUNG you are - don't know it is In Excess (INXS) and never heard of them and yet in the early 1990's they were the no. 1 live rock band in the world. Interesting.
Every time I see the Wembley concert, I have trouble keeping the tears from flowing. I do it right now, writing this. It evokes so much feelings, exactly as a live concert should do. The musicianship, the songs, the stage presence of Michael Hutchence, the audience. If I could travel back in time and be at only one concert - it would be INXS at Wembley ❤
Late 80s/early 90s INXS were on top of the world. One of only 2-3 biggest bands on the planet. They had hit after hit after hit, had incredible videos on MTV 24/7 & were world class live performers. Even Bono of U2, also very big at this time & close friends with Michael said that Michael was one of the best frontmen ever & that he wished he could do what Michael did so effortlessly.
I just saw a great and sad documentary on Michael. His half sister said Michael was a kind of shy, reserved guy but she was wowed the first time she saw him with INXS. She said Michael just transformed into this amazing, outgoing performer on stage. His other friends commented that Michael had that natural ability to dance and move around the stage. Even Mick Jagger saw INXS live and was actually taking notes on Michael’s performance! What a compliment!
I’m laughing because I went to see them live in the 80s, just before the became HUGE. I wore my tour shirt to school the next day and the kids were saying , “Who is inks?” I loved that the didn’t know. And it was an amazing show in a small standing-only venue. ❤
Let’s introduce the band members. Michael Hutchence lead singer, Kirk Pengilly on sax, and the Farsiss brothers, on keys Andrew, lead guitar Tim and drums Jon……
Guys seriously. I can't believe you don't know how to say the band's name correctly. They were one of the biggest bands in the world between the mid-80s and mid-90s.
@@hatleyhoward7193 Not 50/50 at all. Even before they got a recording contract, every member of the band insulted anyone and everyone who mispronounced it. I originally called them eye en ex cess I soon learnt it was In Excess spelt the American way.......as an acronym. INXS.
@@Rassskle so I was in middle school when they hit it in America and it would have been the best day of my life to be insulted by this band. I discovered them because of my brother and I was the weird kid who loved this music instead of New Kids on the Block and any other musical group my peers were into. Not Enough Time was playing when my grandfather passed away and my parents came to tell me. I remember being annoyed because I was watching the Olympics, then getting that news and just folding into my CD Walkman with their CD. My point is, this band means something to me and they mattered in the overall zeitgeist of my small world in Huntsville,Texas. They were there for my best and worst moments in form of song and lyrics. I seriously doubt they cares if 14 year old me pronounced it correctly. I firmly believe they did not appreciate the professionals who were experts in music not bothering to do background or learn their name. 50/50 still to this day when people read the name. When I introduce the actual music to people, they then bother to deep dive into things like pronunciation. The music is what matters…
IN XS you two!! IN XS disbanded in 2012, retired AND Wembley was demolished a few yrs ago. This Live, Baby Live concert was da bomb, in their heyday 74,000 fans agreed
The amazing thing about this concert is it was a last minute decision to record it. 16 cameras running the entire time captured probably one of the best concerts of all time.
It's pronounced in excess.the band helped people out by making the x a different colour to the rest so you would say in pause and then say excess. Michael had stage presence a bit like Freddie Mercury who before Michael had got the crowd at Wembley and other gigs to copy him.but he kept going and took it to extreme before stopping.
Check them out in their younger days too, videos for "Don't Change" and "One Thing" If you want to hear a tougher audience call-back, watch Cab Calloway in "The Blues Brothers" movie I 🎧 N 💓 X 🎶 S
Been a fan of these guys since they used to come over to the UK playing small support gigs right through to top billing and culminating in this, which for me is them at there peak(hell of a gig, I was there but haven't spotted myself LOL) By the way not trying to be funny but it's not Inks it's pronounced - In Excess.
According to their book, just before the went on, Michael gave the rest of the band ecstasy. It kicked in just before this song. Loved this band since the 70's

Bono has stated Michael was a bigger rock star talent than himself.
Oh my God, it's one of the best bands in the world ever. The real truth. No words to. 👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️

RIP MICHAEL HUTCHENCE
Let’s introduce the band members. Michael Hutchence lead singer, Kirk Pengilly on sax, and the Farsiss brothers, on keys Andrew, lead guitar Tim and drums Jon……
Kirk pengilly was lead guitarist plus sax, Tim was Rhythm guitar
Gary Beers Bass guitar
The last RockStar that existed in life and that unfortunately left us in 97, his legacy remains and will still shine for entire generations...
On top of their game here!
I miss him😢😢
Viva o Inxs um grande abraço desde Brasil para todos os fãs do legado do INXS 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
All bands should sound so tight. Michael is a great front man 🎶🎵
Michael Hutchence: Icon.

We all know that proud Americans refuse to learn correct pronunciation and spelling.
When this came out it was what I needed!
i was at the gig 13 july 1991, saw inxs loads of times, hutch was another of the brilliant front men 6 years to the day after live aid

The singer - Michael Hutchence, . He PROWLS the stage like a sexy PANTHER!

INXS( pronounced 'in excess')
Love everything they sing. Michael Hutchence was IT back in the day. RIP Michael Hutchence.❤
Esa sí era música!!! Michael Hutchense un cantante inigualable con una energía en el escenario marcó una era!!!
It's easy to forget just how huge INXS was in their day!
And they are not in the R&R Hall of Fame????????????? Easily in the TOP 5 Live Bands!! ever.

So, Dolly.... Did you enjoy that? 😉
According to their book, just before the went on, Michael gave the rest of the band ecstasy. It kicked in just before this song. Loved this band since the 70's
Haha that would not surprise me one bit, especially being England at that time it was EVERYWHERE so they got all touchy-feely. Good times
According to Tim it was someone else that gave out the E and only him n Michael took 1.
“In Excess”
HOLA saludos desde Argentina! 🥺🙌 podrían reaccionar a Mediate live Wimbledon 🙌🇦🇷🪐🕉️
Go back to The Swing album, earlier INXS….
That's my favorite of their early years, incredible album.
Compare and contrast with the choreographed crap that goes on on stage these days. Zero authenticity, zero fun.
So true!
I always thought Michael was the natural successor to Mick Jagger
I found this reaction so confusing - you got their name pronunciation wrong but knew the lead singers name was Michael? I still enjoyed it though.
Not sure if you both got just what this song is about....?? By the looks on your faces ....that would be 'no' !! But i enjoyed you both anyway!
IN Excess IN X S
It’s pronounced IN X S
Its pronounced in excess
Please pronounce it In-exess..
You guys are cool, but CAN YOU PLEASE SAY THE NAME RIGHT?! IN-X-S! I can't believe you don't know how or are doing it on purpose.
Ummm... it's pronounced inexcess....
Need to do some homework before you record.
Pronouncing the bands name correctly would be a good start.
