I saw INXS in concert for the first time in 1984. It wasn't a long set, because they were the opening act, but they were absolutely magical. I only went to see them, because I didn't really care for the headliner, and I'm so very happy I did. Too bad the journey ended when it did.
I absolutely see you two as people who are normal, down to earth people who would be easy to hang out & be friends with. Just good people. We appreciate you!
"What you Need" is such a great song I think you'll love it
Yay, INXS!!! They were one of a handful of the most famous, popular bands in the 80s. New Sensation, What You Need. Any of their live Wembley video performances

My favourite INXS song. Written by Michael and drummer Jon F. Brilliant falsetto performance by Michael...about an octave higher than his usual register. He was a wonderful singer and one of the few baritones in rock.
Michael's usual cowriter Andrew F. was upset that this song was included on the album...jealous? It was the biggest hit. The video is beautiful.
Wife Speaking...We fortunately have a local station that plays mostly 80's songs (So I get to hear this quiet often...INXS was one of my first introductions to Alternative/Prog Rock..Great Reaction and Selection You Guys!!!

Love this song, especially live. Such a great vibe. Love the falsetto verses and the rocking chorus, works so well.
So so many great songs. Lucky enough to see them in a small theatre at the beginning of their Kick Tour. The best musical ensemble I've ever seen. Their instrument musicianship was absolutely amazing, and of course Michael Hutchence was superb.

"freedom deep" live at Brixton was top notch,first saw them back in 88/89 at the barrowlands in Glasgow,then another 6 times after that with 3 different lead singers

“Disappear” has always been my favorite song of theirs.
It doesn’t get as much play as “Never Tear Us Apart” does, however it’s a very powerful anthem of a love song.
Live Baby Live” is the best live versions I’ve come across.

Suicide Blonde, What You Need, Mystify, The One Thing, Original Sin, Beautiful Girl, Don’t Change, Nothing Can Tear Us Apart…. I can’t Go On😂. Love Love His ways of carrying tunes. I really listen to his singing.
One of my favourite bands, we used to go see them when they first started doing small UK gigs (often as support act) and then watched them become one of 'THE' bands of the 80's/90's
Please if you get the chance react to something from their 1991 Wembley Stadium gig (one of the best gigs I've ever attended and at 66 I've attended a few lol) My choices would be 'Suicide Blonde' 'New Sensation' or 'The Stairs' although you could choose any track really lol
When their album “Kick” was out, INXS was the sh*t. That was the album before this one.

thanks for this. Enjoyed immensely as usual. I can get long winded at times, and feel my thoughts drifting that way so I'll force myself to keep it short (sort of short at least) and just say, your comments toward the end made me think of their song "Don't Change", definitely give it a listen If you are going down the INXS rabbit hole. and Also "Same Direction" seems to slip through the cracks of their more famous songs, but, pretending that I know yous (because, after watching all these reactions, I geekily feel like I do :) I think you'd both like it.
MYSTIFY, DEVIL INSIDE, NEW SENSATION and SUCIDE BLONDE are also INXS songs hi on the List Songs you need to review.
