Hi Val! Love the cove light without the false ceiling - my flat is a resale flat too and I thought of getting cove lighting w/o the false ceiling (google HAGA profile cove lighting). But my contractor said that for old resale flats due to trunking of wires at the ceiling, the cove light would cast a shadow onto the trunking instead if I dont use a false ceiling. Did you experience anything similar to this? Am tryna save on cost so really appreciate your response. Many thanks!
Thanks for the video, i am convinced to buy the cove lights. How much are you charged for the installation? With the cove light alone, without any additional track light, ceiling fan light, is the room bright enough?
You're welcomed :) I need to get the electrician bill from husband and update you again :) The coves lights in the living room is the brightest set of lights I have in the living room now haha. The moment I turn it on, it lights up the whole area and makes it come alive! Definitely bright enough, but we're using warm colour for it and for ambient only, so do take note if you need it for ambient only or etc, as long time under warm lighting might not be too comfortable for eyes. For our case, we have the Ceiling Fan light+Dining Light + Track Light that are in Tri-Colours we can switch to White or cool lighting. :) I'd say the cove lights in warm colour gives off a very cosy yet bright feel if you're going for that direction :)
Absolutely agreed that the cove light is beautifully done! I am curious since there is no false ceiling, where is the LED driver placed at?
