Question? Do you know of any product that could be installed over Kingspan Sandwich Panels that give cool Facade/Architectural enhancements?
Think fast frame, panels on the roof n side, back n partial fronts then jazzed up with stone, tiles, stucco or such…
Panels unlike Zip Board/Sheathing don’t have the nailable/screwable attachment strength. Have you seen rivet attachments on such panels, and are the solid enough to withstand the elements?
Can i install the Panels over existing stucco?
Yes that's right only professional
They don't do a mess
Does anyone know a competing stucco look a like panel? One they actually manufacture and stock? I've had 4 contractors to the house, not one has used or can source this mythical hardie stucco panel until November earliest. It's not even a big job, just need a dozen panels to cover a small area, but Hardie apparently can't deliver.
looked into it, available only in western states currently
Allura. Their stuff is better quality than hardie. I've looked at both.
This is why cement stucco is popular, sand, cement, water . The trickiest part is finding real lathers and plasterers .
This reminds me of EFIS fake stucco where the new product has to be installed perfectly or future horror stories ( semi-waterproof) are bound to happen.
Professional Stucco applicators don't make a mess
Systems BS. Fails the hail storm. Stucco is the way to go… a Tyvek system is much better than this but the EIFS system by Sto will always prevail.
@@hollowtips223 do you know what stucco is?
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST PER SQUARE FOOT???
HOW IS IT ATTACHED TO ALUMINUM TRIM?
Installed in California it’s about $28 a square foot. 😬
@@JonPaulie That is way too high compared to stucco which can range from $3-$9 per sq ft. I'm looking at about 5000 sq ft of stucco work which would cost $140,000 with these panels and perhaps $30-40k with stucco. So not sure what this gets me??
@@raajashtaputre2803 that is exactly the math that I ended up doing and is why I signed with a stucco contractor.
@@JonPaulie Seems like a no brainer. What did you add stucco to - hardy board or old stucco? I'm trying to see if they can stucco on top of other surfaces or need to rip it off first.
@@raajashtaputre2803 I tore off all my siding, repaired any of the OSB that needed it, added a water barrier and a rain screen and then stuccoed over that.
Stucco has been around a long time and proven on all buildings and climates. It does not have to be messy. How can a 1/4 inch cement panel compare to 7/8 inch plaster in wire netting? It cant. 7/8 inch stucco is one hour fire rated per code , no sheathing required to get one hour. Fiber panels as displayed require gypsum sheathing for that same rating.
BS stucco holds up in all climates.
Unfortunately this product is not approved by my HOA. Claim that it’s not a true masonry product. My HOA requires 80% masonry. I’m SOOL on my build.
A profesional lather is not time consuming ..
Nooo way that this can compete with stucco some molding made with stucco u won’t be able to do with panels stucco is messy but 100% better
Nope nothing like real stucco brother's
