Can I get the kit with Tx (transmit) and Rx (Receive) but do not use the TX (transmit) end just plug in the ethernet to back of my ""device"" which would be a graph" that has a ethernet port out. then use the other adapter labeled ( RX receiving ) plug that into the ethernet end and that gives you HDMI then plug that in to the TV will that work to mirror the image from the graph to the TV or do both and have to be hooked up to the cat
hello. could you let me know if there is a unit that can go over home network... IE: Sender -> Network Switch (L2) - Mini Switch (L2) -> Receiver. The main Switch is also connected to the modem.
@@hatoraidcowboy do you know if multi channel audio gets passed through to the receiver over device you use? Lets say you play a multi channel Netflix video of the smart tv app, does receiver decode it correctly?
@@hatoraidcowboy I manage to connect only eth cable to pc on which my internet works, and can only use for this thing. as TV is next to modem. Is it possible for you to test it out by putting switch in between and see if that still works?
@@hatoraidcowboy I think so. It was HDMI over cat six. There was a Box on each end that was powered. I don't remember the manufacturer, the guy that ran the cabling and installed my speakers and everything in my home Put them in. I assume they work, there seems to be a lot of them out there. But but my setup with my denon receiver, Samsung TV and my TiVo just had a terrible time with video sync and I would have to go to the multimedia rack and unplg the hdmi cable and plug it back in to get the video to lock. Maybe the guy didn't set it up right. I got aggravated with it and and replaced it with an HDMI over fiber and have had no problems since.
Hmmm. I’ll have to keep an eye open to see if I notice any issues. But yea maybe yours wasn’t installed properly? Hard to say. Or maybe you just got a lemon.
it is easy if your Cinema Acoustic 7.1 or 5.1 does not go trough HDMI. But what if your surround sound works through HDMI))) That is the problem) Basically you need to connect your Xbox through HDbaseT to AV receiver (which gives you opportunity to make 7.1) and from AV receiver send a signal to TV. So, if AV receiver, Xbox and TV are at a distance of 100 m apart - that is more complicated question))
@@hatoraidcowboy Can this device work with an Xbox controller though? My system would be out of range of the Xbox controller so I'd need the extender itself detect the Xbox inputs.
No. I spent the last 2 months trying to figure out a way to put my ps5 and Nintendo switch in my equipment closet that’s 70’ away. Gaming consoles use Bluetooth not ir for the controllers. So my gaming consoles are in the sand room as tv with an hdmi switch going to and hdmi extender like you see here back to my onkyo receiver in the rack
Unmanaged switch like ethernet? I’m not sure if you can introduce an ethernet switch into/between the signal. I would assume it would just pass the signal? I’m not sure though.
Very nice. Do you know if it supports 1440p@120hz? And what about VRR?
Nice intro music! Thanks for walking us through this.
You’re welcome!

I’m not sure on that. I’d check with the manufacturer
I may have missed this point, does this allow or ARC signals and HDMI control to still operate?
I dont believe so.

Hello. I’m not aware of any Orei products that work over your local network.
@@hatoraidcowboy I think better to test it out for us before we jump in to get and return. thanks
there are units, they are called HDMI over IP, which uses your own network. But resolution and image quality is much lower.
@emilkhisamov1521 Thanks for the info

can we go though modem or switch in between?
I’m not sure on that. I’m guess adding anything into the signal might not function properly.

Can you run your Arc hdmi over the hdmi cat5 extender?
Not sure on that.
You can!! The caveat is that you must get an HDBaseT extender that supports it.
How can u use the controller when the xbox is far away? Is it able to use the controller via a bluetooth dongle?
The xbox was in the next room not too far away. The Xbox Series X uses bluetooth
@@hatoraidcowboy it does not use Bluetooth. it uses a proprietary 2.4ghz connection. that's why you were able to still use your controller.
Go with a fiber optic hdmi. I had nothing But trouble with the ethernet solution.
What kind of issues did you have?
@@hatoraidcowboy I had all kinds of sync issues.

That’s awesome. My cinema space is in the backyard ( too ugly for the house) I rely on Wi-Fi for streaming. That device could solve some issues for me
Yea I really like what this device can do for a/v over extremely long distances.
You said "Up to 4k 60hz" is there a 4k 120Hz model?
Not that I know.
There dont seem to be any that uses cat cable. But there are full hdmi 2.1 compliant fiber cables.
The wife acceptance factor! 😆 That's why I'm here!
