- Monique Brumby (born 16 September 1974, Devonport, Tasmania is an Australian Indie pop/rock singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer Her debut single, "Fool for You", peaked into the top 40 in the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) ARIA Singles Charts, and provided an ARIA Award for 'Best New Talent' in 1996. Her single, "Mary", won an ARIA Award in 1997 for 'Best Female Artist'
Brumby's songs have been used for television: Neighbours, Home and Away, McLeod's Daughters, The Secret Life of Us and Heartbreak High and in the Australian films: Diana and Me (1997)

I think of the chorus of this song every single time the news comes on and a parent has killed their children and/or their ex partner in a murder/suicide, because they were in the midst of nasty divorce and custody disputes, or as a result of their separation. 😕
It has always had that psychotic, narcissistic, possessive feel to it.

@you tube Monique actually replied me on FB, according to her it's only available as hard copy (special order). That version I mentioned is from her 1996 album "Thylacine".
@@runeer it's funny you know, we have this little radio station in woomera that plays for the couple of hundred people there and I heard the drumless version for the first time on there. Much much better.
