Between this and the Dan Wesson DWX its great to see more 1911/2011 guns that dont need special expensive mags to run. Also holster because you can never have to many of them.

@@prestonnormile9996 thought the same thing until I held one for the first time last week. Hand by hand held a staccato P and a Springfield prodigy. The staccato felt significantly better. I ended up walking out with it. Put 500 round through it in 2 days. Can definitely say, its completely worth the money
I agree with him, I have a C2 its a $1500-2k gun sure, not $2500-3k shot my brothers Atlas athena next to it, it felt alot better, did not shoot alot better.. is that gun worth 6k.. no

After the Hudson failure, the price point of the Alien, I want these guys to succeed badly. I think I'll order one, worst case it will be like a H9, best case I'll be in at the ground floor of a company that takes risks to innovate at a great price point. Great video!

Made mine similar except i got the ambi safety, extended barrel, and no optic cut. Mine's a commemorative piece for my Wire Fox pupper passed on. So it's a tri- color, white with tan and black accents.

Holster! Not only is the platypus a good idea (cheap, variable capacity mags already distributed across your market for a desirable firearm platform), it looks freaking really good.
That’s what I was saying, I think that those beats out most of the so called “budget 2011s money can buy” cause you get to customize your pistol to how you want it to look, get to pick the color, on top of that $1500 or depending on the options you choose is a steal and the fact it takes Glock mags is another reason. Basically you can just take your buddies mags off of their belts and run it lol. Those so called budget 2011s yeah they are cheap but since that those mags are finicky at times and can run you a few hundred dollars just to find which mags works best more money down the drain. Stealth arms did it best and the king of budget 2011s but with quality parts they use (cough cough Springfield)

Holster! I've found that my Staccato holsters (which have a square trigger guard) fit my standard 1911s (round trigger guard). So, I just order holsters for Staccato's now and they generally fit everything.

Holster. Definitely interested to see how the 1000 round review goes. I've been tossing around getting a hammer gun, a hammer gun with glock mags makes a lot of sense for me. If Limited Optics really becomes a thing (which I really dislike, but that's a different discussion) this might be what I'd end up running.
Holster it can use any 1911 holster you have based on the model you get. If you get a government pistol and have a holster that fits government 1911 it will fit, same with commander size. And there’s different optics you can choose it’s not that limited but it’s more of the popular options that people usually buy when it comes to optics

Holster. Fun side effect of taking Glock mags, you can 3D print them very easily. No extended baseplates needed anymore, and you can even print a stipple texture right onto the mag. Just print your big sticks straight up and with a nice texture on the bottom half.
Holster And the high five but real talk, custom 1911 like this used to cost a few months' paychecks, glad stuff like this is more accessible for ordinary folk, great view and thanks for the honest input
Holster. Not to go against the miss's, but I think the drawing of your hand was an excellent idea that added a very personal touch. Thank you for doing reviews that explain the finite details that are important to shooters. They are actually very helpful and the next best thing to being able to coon finger one for yourself. I have bought several pieces of kit just off of the information in your reviews and have never had buyer's remorse.

Holster support is a primary consideration when I'm picking a gun. I really prefer to have the safariland fork so I can easily use it on the same belt I use for everything else. I'm not a competition guy, just a fauxperator.

Thank you for your review ! I commented to my friend that Glock mags are incredibly durable and I have some from the 90's that still work perfectly. I feel this is a cool feature on this 2011ish pistol. The coating looked like it was flaking around the take down pin. For a gun in that price range a DLC or similar coating should be standard. Awesome concept brought to reality. I agree with the common sentiment here about this resolving the issues with a lot of 1911 magazines. In fact, I feel that this is a vision that depicts how more 1911 designs should be. The biggest complaints I see is that 1911s are too big, too heavy, and capacity is too limited. This concept just eliminated all those complaints.
As someone who has tons and tons of Glock mags and always wanted a hammer gun. This is great. Solid review and keep them coming

Wilson edc/sfx/sft 9's have the most reliable and affordable 2011 magazines in my personal experience. Equally reliable as glock mags imo.

For a carry gun yes, simply because of weight savings. For anything else polymer is sub par to aluminum.
My first 2011 back in 1994 had 108,000 rounds of 115gr bullets at 1580fps. Aluminum frame rails would have been trashed at 30.
2011 frame rails aren't polymer, my point was that aluminum is better than polymer.
The high five was my best laugh of the week. It's a great personal touch also.

Reason that PSA might do that is that the parts are Glock compatible so they sell them separate.

Awesome concept brought to reality. I agree with the common sentiment here about this resolving the issues with a lot of 1911 magazines. In fact, I feel that this is a vision that depicts how more 1911 designs should be.
The biggest complaints I see is that 1911s are too big, too heavy, and capacity is too limited. This concept just eliminated all those complaints.
