Every Saturday afternoon, we would have a family-style selection of sliced Genoa salami, thinly sliced Prosciutto di San Danielle and fresh ricotta from Di Andrea deli in Berwyn) along with some olives, sliced tomatoes seasoned/marinated with salt, pepper, garlic and olive oil and of course sliced Italian bread. For your recipe, you can just add a few thin slices of salami or prosciutto. I will definitely return to making my memorable Saturday lunches and simply substitute your terrific chaffles, which I already make all the time. Thanks to both of you for sharing your never-ending quest for keto/low carb, easy foods to enjoy. When I make one of your recipes now, I just tell my husband it’s from ‘the twins”.
I make flax chaffles. My own recipe, no cheese, . Just 4 tablespoons ground golden flax , 1 egg, 1 tablespoon mayo, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. I put that in the waffle maker, you can also thin the batter down with a little water. I just had a grass fed burger with these chaffles , amazing.
I love Josh W.'s channel. I live in L.A. and ha e been to In n Out many times but never tried animal style. On keto I rarely go there, but get an occasional double-double "protein style".
I just finished making a mini quiche with a crust made from Carbquick which you can get at Walmart. It’s similar to Bisquick if you grew up with that.. Inside the quiche is heavy cream, an egg and 2 Tbsp of shredded cheese, ham, and bacon.. it’s so delicious. I precooked my crust for about 7 minutes on 300 in the air fryer and then added the creamy mixture and cooked for another 10 minutes on 300. Low and slow but it was nice and brown and not runny. I like this last recipe of yours! 💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
They all look good to me especially the caramelized onions. My favorite chaffle sandwich is pastrami and sauerkraut. I make the chaffle with mozzarella, egg and caraway seeds so it has that rye bread flavor. Soooooo good. Keep up the good work ladies!

Chaffles are most certainly the vessel for me most of the time. I remember the first time I used them as "bread" for a hamburger. I got so full I couldn't even finish it. I like to kind of consider them a treat food now that I weigh a lot less than when I started. p.s.I know you chaffle video is super popular. Your improved chaffle recipe is my go-to recipe! I personally enjoyed them the most when cut small and thrown into your cream soups basically instead of croutons e.g. in a French onion soup. Absolutely delicious and hearty!

Actually, animal style is referring to the grilled onions rather than the sauce. For sure the fries when ordered “animal style” can come that way, but if you order a hamburger “animal style” the only difference from a regular hamburger is the grilled onions. No cheese unless you get a cheeseburger (must request animal style cheeseburger for the grilled onions as well), and the sauce is In-n-Out’s signature sauce, it’s automatically on the hamburgers unless you request it not be added. Just FYI for anyone wanting to try whilst on the west coast. It’s also a “hidden” menu variation, you won’t find it on the board, you just have to request it when ordering.
I RAN to the store and bought RAOs to make tomato soup, it was so good. I bought those three containers for chaffle storage you recommended and will be practicing making different ones from your recipes, thank you for all of this, keep 'em coming, hugs.

The chaffle with no cheese I believe is one of the wonder bread versions. It has almond flour and or coconut flour. One has cream cheese I think. I love the white bread versions

I was thinking about trying that hush puppies recipe with the egg whites and Parmesan as a chaffle. I’m going to use Romano instead. I’m off Parmesan after finding out the whole tree bark thing. I eat cocktail shrimp quite often on low carb, so I think this would be a nice accompaniment for it.

Have you tried the recipe for chaffles using a hard boiled egg and cheese? Don’t remember where I saw the video (UA-cam or FB) , but they mashed a hard boiled egg and added cheese, then made a waffle out of it. No eggs right now, so haven’t tried it myself.
They tend to go away the longer you are on keto and once you are fat adapted. We cut all snacking, only eat 1-2 meals a day. I really don’t experience them anymore 🤗

Partner (non-keto) won't allow me to purchase any more electric kitchen gadgets (even dirt cheap at a yard sale) is there a frying pan/oven/skillet way to make a chaffle? He is from the midwest where all kitdhen things are handed down generation to generation, u can breqk a toe with a cast iron pan but you can't break a cast iron skillet....
