  • In this video I show you how to remove the fuel rail and injectors from a 1998 Saturn SL2. this procedure should work on most 96-99 SL2 models. I recorded this earlier in the year and sadly do not have the vehicle anymore due to an accident. I hope this helps those needing help with figuring out how to pull out the fuel rail and injectors.

Check your coils too. You might have a bad one, or the ignition control module as well.

@Haiti News Info Haiti News Info I replaced the injectors, which helped, and the other part of my problem was the top motor mount had settled down and needed replacing. I discovered that later.

Ty JK! Always appreciate your videos! Starting on my 96 sl2 today! Actually got a set of remand Rochester injectors!
Been, getting intermittent miss fire codes! Fixed the air, and fire! Did induction cleaning, but not good enough!
I've had this car the last 6 years or so! And have always kept decent gas, and additives monthly! Lucas and Seafoam!
    But, w/ 254k guess it's time!!
Also putting a WIX fuel filter same time! Making sure it's good!!
    Thanks again JK!

Thank you for this great film. May I know what exactly silicon oil did you use on injectors o-rings? I have 3M Silicon Paste, maybe the oil is better?

how is how i take care of the vehicle going to determine how my injectors are? mine is at 150,000, and i started driving it at 90,000. I put costco gas everytime, but how am i supposed to know if the previous owner did or didnt.. how am i supposed to know or be responsible for that?

Think it took me about an hour or so to remove. That includes time maneuvering the camera and explaining.

I just changed my ICM and coils, spark plugs and wires P0301, P0340, P0341 all cleared. Two days later P0304 pops up #4 spark plug is already soiled, I was hoping to clean the injectors but this looks way too advanced for me.
