Possibly. What is on the inside now? Regarding the handing, what side of the door are the hinges on when standing on the key side of the door? This is the hand of the door.
The Standard cam shown on those lock cylinders will not operate the deadbolt if rotated using a wrench while in the locked position- an excellent design; however, if one were able to unscrew the cylinder from the mortise lock, all security would be lost.
Hi Richard, I recently installed a new MarkLock. It turns out to issues for me: 1. The security deadbolt (the longest and rectangle lock) too long so that I was not able to lock the door and pull the key. It is metal framed door and I dont think I can trim the door frame. 2. I realized that if I choose to unlock the bottom deadbolt (as shown in the video), I locked myself inside of the room. Do you have better suggestions? Thank you
I recently change my metal security storm door mortise lock set. my problem is if I tighten the cylinder to much it does not open the dead bolt. Also the position of the cylinder key holes gave the same problem what is the right way to assemble the deadbolt cylinder?
G. I suppose your next best option is a trip to the local lockshop and asking they perform this for you and actually a better choice as that will eliminate the chance of loosing or misfitting parts.
Hello, i attempted to install one of these yesterday. it seemed to install ok, but the dead bolt won't work. i plan on taking it out, and assembling the lock outside the gate to see if i can get it to work. any advice?
Hello there Richard. i brought the lock back to the place it got it. Mea Culpa, based on where the holes were cut in the security gate by the person who initially installed the lock, the lock was 'upside down' ... i naively did not know that i merely needed to rotate the barrel where the key inserts 180 degrees. problem solved ... it was due to my naivety. cheers!
Can you replace the inside lock with a thumb latch. Also, how do you know if it's a left hand or right hand lock?

The door would have to be open in order to unscrew the cylinder from the lock case.
