Because this is the real thing, not a commercial product. No fancy dressing, no makeup, no choreography. Just good music, and they really are good because when they play live, they rock.

Couldn´t agree more. I was born more or less at the same time as the Beatles and the Stones, so I enjoyed all the fantastic music of the '60s, '70s and '80s first hand and that sets the bar high, but this band is one of the great ones of all time. Hope they stay together for long!

Best music in a decade; can’t wait for more. Worth the wait...I heard them for the first time yesterday and suddenly I knew what to gift my friends and family for the holidays. I know they’d all really dig it so it made gift-giving a breeze this year.

I am older but, have always liked exciting new music. I love all kinds of music from 1920s jazz to blues to Led Zep. to original punk. I feel like music has hit a 20 year glut of wasteland with once in awhile something good like Amy Winehouse and White Stripes. But, mostly its been alot of corporate inane pop and redundant hip hop. Even my 20 something year old niece hates the music of today and looks for something that is exciting. I saw Black Pumas at Biden's musical evening and was blown away. I have been watching their videos and am addicted. They are the best band, best music I've heard in a long long time. I love this video
I think 2000 to 2020 was a glut for all kinds of true art, for intellectualism and excellence in music, film and other forms of culture generally. The 2010s more-so imo were dumbed down rot creatively speaking with everyone getting a podcast and feeling they had something to say no matter how little skill. Heres hoping for a regeneration towards mastering a craft and sharing deep and profound culture which moves humanity.

Take the late 50s and early 60s when the new medium of television as well as the creative output from the new form called Rock n' Roll cooled down into a very bland and substandard fare. When the British invasion hit there was a long era of outstanding expression in all the arts and intellectual thought. Then we had the same with the 1970s. The cooling off period from the 60s new thought and arts. Blandness became the word for music, movies. Television devolved into stupidity. Present the 1980s. It was a flowering of all kinds of creative and intelligent output. Sadly the 2000s has the been the longest we have had an arid and nauseating period of nothingness.
