I'm not a fan personally. Like, it's just... alright? It just doesn't meet the standard of the previous three I would say. Combine that with the awful layering of the files and the fact that STEALTH 5 HAS 190 BPM WHEN ASSAULT HAS 178. yea it's just ok, nothing special.
honestly, i really like the chaotic nature of this heist track, especially on a heist such as this. makes me think of a bunch of stocks going crazy as the payday gang perform this hit on the actual stock market
I think the reason the song is so all over the place is because it's supposed to represent how the stock market is constantly changing rapidly, and how unpredictable it is. One thing will be super profitable one second, then the next it completely crashes and a new one rises. Just realized Jlag69 thought of this before me, credit goes to him.
Peak fiction, Literally experimental on the thematic, that means, Gustavo put a fit nail on the thematic of the music, And the Stealths are pure gold for the ears
@@CYB3Redux I wouldn't call it arbitrary when you can tell a difference between someone like Sewerslvt and Noisia: breakcore can be more complex while DnB sound has more staple features. Plus Amen Break is used in practically anything, jungle, breakcore, DnB itself - you name it really.
I think the only reason they made stealth 5 more intense than most tracks is cuz a search is triggered at the end and they wanted it to feel intense instead of just an ordinary search , that and it's supposed to capture how unpredictable the stock market is
Honestly, I am SHOCKED that gustavo didn't incorporate more jazzy elements in the pd3 music bc we're supposed to be in the big apple! I really want a heist to have high pitch trumpets and trombones. It would really fit in with a heist centered around fighting the mob.
This is wonderful background music, and it tells a story. What that story is will vary from person to person, but I love the development. I have no idea why people are upset with this, this is just good video game music. It’s not the Doom Soundtrack, but it’s good in its own right.
Is it just me or is the anticipation loop at 10:24 the same melody McConaughey does in The Wolf Of Wall Street "humming" scene, just sped up. If you put it at 0.75 speed its almost 1:1
This is one of my favorites in the game. As a lover of chaotic genre blends, I absolutely adore this. It feels like my brain put on blast; My love for all kinds of percussion meeting my love of brass, electronic instrumentation, bassy sounds and guitars.
I think this is a track that's just okay when listened to but is amazing in the actual heist, I really enjoyed the instrument changes and switch ups while playing through it but it's just fine outside of it. Personally I still prefer it over Breakout but less than Boys in Blue or Syntax out of the DLC Heists
I’m glad I’m not the only who got major Cowboy Bebop vibes from this. The mix of Gustavo’s awesome electronic style with Bebop is something I never knew I needed

It's like im listening to a few different heists in a row
Honestly while it's kind of underwhelming it works much better ingame, the changing in beats and bpm makes each moment in assault more unique imo (running to do objectives, shooting cops, refilling resources,...) since it's not just a few same beats played the entire assault phase like Ice Punch (Not saying that it's bad though, it slaps). It's not my jam because it feels like it isn't meant to be listened normally and instead be played during an intense shootout.
i love reading the coments... how people interprets this soundtrack.. and yes I agree, I guess stealth is like you go on stock market in safer way, low risk, slow and steady ... and assault is when you go on stock market in a more bold, and risky, yet where's there a high risk there's a high return... which still means a possibility of chaos
Yup. It's a certain type of fraud. Basically you inflate the value of stock you own through fraudulent means (which is where "pump" comes from) after which you sell them for a ridiculous markup (which is what "dump" means here).
@@NikolayHizenprof I'd say what the gang is doing is more akin to a short and distort. Gonna add to this I am in no way an expert on the subject and had to look up a few exact definitions here and there. That being said, I enjoy the opportunity to learn a thing or two and forward it to someone else, even if said information is not at all useful. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. Edit: to clarify how a short and distort leads to profit: say you have 10 stocks worth 500 dollars each. You sell them knowing that their price will decrease due to your distortion. If the price then dips to, say, 100 dollars, and you buy exactly 10 stocks of the same type back, that means you now have the same amount of stocks as you did before as well as 4000 dollars from the difference in price from when you sold them and bought them back.

@splashlemon2966 also, even though I haven’t played the heist, I think there is a second assault track to emphasize that the market is starting to crash, changing from a calm tone, to one with more seriousness and sporadic one, and the periodic craziness of the sax seeing little increases and decreases in the stock prices as they still continue to fall. Sorry for the tangent

stealth 5 is where you have to run away so it suppose to be adrenaline inducing
