The guys being nice to the biker so obviously the biker doesn’t want to cause an argument saying you can’t drive home
The guy said he lived close by, which is probably why the biker let it go. Also, food sometimes helps you sober up. I would have followed him home and made sure he got there safe, maybe beeping my horn or pulling up beside him if he started to swerve or something.
That way, he doesn't needlessly go to jail and I can guarantee he gets home safely. If I had nothing else to do, I would definitely spend my own time doing that if it meant someone else could be ok.
