- In today's episode of Spider-Man 2 we cosplay as MJ while we play her in a stealth section, we see the full consequences of insecure attachment style with Peter and his toxic relationship, fight it out with Martin Li as Miles, test our skills with Kraven (and a bell!) and finally, Miles stages an intervention for Peter with good results (in the end).

Man, this episode was just boss fight after boss fight. You did a great job with them though. Especially the Peter fight. Made that one look easy. Great commentary throughout as always, and I liked the minute or two of reflection at the end. Wouldn't mind seeing that become a recurring thing, getting your "post-game" thoughts. You killed it with the MJ cosplay too. The red hair looks amazing on you, and your attention to detail's top notch. Good stuff, Tofu.

Kinda fitting that MJ takes a level in badass the episode you showed up to so awesomely embody her. Great job on the stealth section. And the spider combat, too! Parrying's tricky, but you rose to the challenge (even with some finicky timing from the game), and you kicked so much ass all video. Fucking _love_ that shift to horror vibes during he tunnel sequence, btw. It's true, too, the tunnel lighting looks great on MJ. Y'know, it kinda reminds me of...* goes to double check *...yeah, your press event shots, when you had the dope Spider-Man corset.

The Li fight is _wild,_ in all of its phases. And you're right, they gave Miles some absolutely * chef kiss * lines during the initial fight, but those mental battles...oof. That was painful. The ending was perfect, tho.

Putting aside the laughs "He's pulverizing meeeee!" got outta me, you did really well with the almost back-to-back bad guy boss fights. They're tough, especially the Li fight imo, but you soldiered through to badass results. Pretty sure I had the _exact_ same reaction to Kraven dropping a harder -daddy- in the middle of the fight, too. lmao I was also _so_ impressed by how well you handled that last fight with Peter. Good, _good_ job, Tof!
And real talk? You _are_ good enough. You are such an amazing person, in more ways than I have space to list here, and I constantly see how dedicated you are to growing and bettering yourself. You're kind of inspiring. And more than enough. I know saying that doesn't magically make the little voice go away, but it's true and you deserve to hear it. ❤️

Ah the episode of boss fights! We're here! I loved that the part of the game featured in the first part of this video is just TLOU. The workbench, the sneaking around taking people out. Very reminiscent. The part where you have to escape the tunnel reminded me a lot of running from the rat king. I feel like it all had to be intentional... or maybe I'm just too obsessed with those games lol. I've gotta say that when you're locked into combat, you're SO good. You killed that Miles combat section around 20 minutes! ...At least up until the big dude lol, although to be fair he is ridiculously hard. As far as boss fight difficulties go it was Lee, That Guy, Venom, and then Pete 😂
I really liked how you did the recap/discussion at the end of the video. Talking about all the little bits with the visuals on the screen was a cool touch. I don't remember that being done in the past, but I wouldn't mind seeing it return! And as always... you crushed the look. I'm genuinely so impressed by how you manage to put these things together. I can't even begin to imagine how to start searching for stuff like the jacket. I wouldn't know what to look up to begin the search. I can't imagine it's a quick process. This was yet another fun video, and I can't wait for more (but I know that I'll have to 🥲)

Seriously though, i have always wanted to dye my hair some form of red but was too scared i wouldnt like it because, like you said, warmer tones can do things to someones skin tone! This is a great why to experiment AND look fab 💅
I feel you on the procrastination, it may be what I'm best at. Keep killing what you are doing as you always do, and i will be here late to the party as per usual but still always supporting. You nailed the look as per usual, I expect nothing less and you never disappoint. Your genuine reactions to everything during your game play is what really makes these things special. You just have a look of amazement, don't get me wrong the the ummmm.... double entendre jokes don't hurt. Gives me a good giggle every time. I also loved you taking off the gloves as you were finishing. I dont think it was something you did contentiously. But it was noticed. Thank you again.

I love how the bell goes from such an annoyance during the Kraven boss fight to your best weapon when fighting "Peter".
After you listened to Harry's voice-mail about needing the suit back, if you hadn't gotten close enough to Harry's home to start the next cutscene, you would've gotten some dialogue from Peter reacting to the voicemail: "I wonder if Harry really needs the suit. I mean, if I have it, the whole city benefits. Everyone's better when Spider-Man is at his best." This shows how much the symbiote has corrupted Peter - he's justifying keeping the symbiote for himself, even though he knows Harry will die without it.
Not once has a UA-camr made me scroll back so fast I love the cosplay
I love how during the boss fight with Kraven he's saying these profound and eloquent things about wanting a worthwhile death, and angry Spider-Man just says "Shut up!"
As always, Tor, this was an absolute blast. This was another one where I planned to draw while watching after I finished dinner, but just could not pull my eyes away from the screen long enough to actually start drawing. Your playing was fun and engaging, your commentary was everything from cute and funny to thoughtful and enthralling and so much more, and that look? UGH, what a look. You're so pretty, and as I've already told you, you pulled that MJ cosplay off like nobody's business. I'm genuinely not sure any official MJ - regardless of medium - will ever be able to compare. Just wonderful stuff across the board - not that I'd expect anything less from you, of course.
Speaking of MJ, I think her stealth section this episode might have been my favourite stealth section to watch you play so far. It was tense and exciting, and it's always nice seeing her get to hold her own instead of being relegated to a damsel in distress or having hiding be her *only* survival technique. And as I've said on past videos, I'm always so fascinated by how constantly pushing forward your playstyle is in those sections. It feels like you're just in "go, go, go" mode the whole time, and at least as someone who is much more inclined to methodically stalk and takedown every single enemy before moving on, that "go, go, go" energy really adds to the tension for me. The way my brain works, I honestly don't think I could play those stealth sections the way you do and be anywhere near as successful at them as you are.
And then there's the Martin Li fight. I really, truly felt for you when you were struggling with dodging those horizontal attacks, and I totally get your frustration during that fight. For me it was the wall of tornadoes looking attack that I just could not get timing on for whatever reason. Like certain parts of the Lizard fight, my brain just refused to get in sync with dodging that attack. But as ever, you persevered and overcame the obstacle in front of you. As I pretty much always expect of you whether it's in a video game or in real life. For what it's worth, your anger and frustration when you're having a hard time with boss fights like that can be very validating to watch as someone who can also get unreasonably frustrated in those situations. I'm sure that does little to make the frustration easier to deal with, but at least you're not alone in dealing with it, right? Anyway, as is often the case, seeing you finally overcome him was incredibly satisfying. So satisfying I actually, literally applauded when the fight was over - and again after the Kraven fight, incidentally.
To the surprise of no one, Tor, this video was just a good time from start to finish. I love watching you enjoy yourself and the catharsis that comes when you overcome a tough boss. I love all the clever, weird, funny, silly, spicy, and insightful things you have to say throughout. I love hearing you talk about your dad and sharing your overall thoughts on the episode at the end. Oh, and as for, "I think I have, like, one more cute little look up my sleeve," can I just politely and respectfully say that that might be most unbelievable thing I've heard in quite some time. *Maybe* you're currently running a little dry specifically on Spider-Man themed ideas, fair enough, but you are the last person I could ever imagine running of ideas in general for cute looks. Your eye for style really is second to none, after all, and I always look forward to seeing the unique and creative looks you come up with. Anyway, thank you for this lovely video, Tor. No matter the platform, your content never misses, and I can't wait to see what you have to share next time.
Peter wasn't wearing the suit anymore, the suit was wearing him.
He usually has his web shooters on but now that the suits evolved he’s not wearing them
@@isaacthompson4915 In the comics this was true - the alien costume made its own webbing. But in the game you still have the same webshooters with the same capacity.

Oof I know its tuff playin these games for the coin but I was out in the streets of arizona all day walking the other day looking for a job I hope you can muster the courage to post another. I almost died of heat stroke and got put in the hospital then walked 4 miles home after walking 5 miles at least looking for a job. Nice video creamsicle.

Also, the actress that was the face model for MJ in both games had 15+ face operations because of a accident between the two games.

Awesome reaction! Quick tip: in the top right corner you'll see a yellow bar that fills up. When it's fill there's a prompt to push R3 and L3 at the same time. When you do that, you do a full electric blast with Miles, and you can also go full venom berserk mode with Peter.

As I've said before that symbiote was just messing Peter's up very badly from the inside. Also Martin Li should've known that after what he did at city hall Miles was gonna be very angry with him for it. Furthermore Peter had almost given Kraven what he wanted but Miles stopped him, and now thanks to him Peter had finally gotten that damn thing off.

Man, the symbiote really is like a drug for both Peter and Harry. With Harry it made his happiness at being alive and well so much more intense and the withdrawal hits him like a freight train when he loses it to Peter. And for him, it amplifies all of his negative thoughts, his insecurity of not doing a good enough job and failing the people he cares about, makes his anger worse, it’s sad to watch. The addiction metaphor is pretty strong. It grabs hold of you, makes you dependent on it, makes you feel like you can’t live without it, that it makes you powerful, like it remedies your problems, but it corrodes your life and you NEED people around you to help you out of it, but you’re the one who needs to tear yourself away from it, no one can do that for you, they can only help you get in the right mindset. And then ridding yourself of it is just the first step, there’s a whole winding healing road you need to go down after that.
It is said that which does not kill you makes you stronger, but what makes you stronger, can often kill you. Addiction can be weakness, one that must be overcome. It’s a poison that can take you over, and before you know it, it’s turns you into something ugly. In the Symbiote’s case it seeks to bond with a worthy host, feeding off the host’s negative emotions. And when the host doesn’t listen, the Symbiote takes over. And you must separate from it and starve it.

No, Harry being happy had nothing to do with the symbiote. Well, it kind did, but only in that he thought he was going to die from his disease, but the symbiote keeps his disease in check, so he's just happy to be alive. It has nothing to do with the symbiote making him happy.
And Harry isn't feeling any withdrawal when he loses the symbiote. The symbiote was keeping his disease in check, but now that it's gone, his disease is killing him again. That's why he looks worse.
@@jhornacek the symbiote absolutely amplifies your mood. Connors even warns him as much when he examines him, when Harry tells Connors he's feeling great, Connors goes "That's what worries me.", it's pretty obvious that it amplifies your mood, the way Peter talks while wearing it, he keeps going on about how great he feels wearing it, that's just explicitly what the game tells you. And as for the withdrawal he immediately starts feeling really down, even phoning Miles to ask if there's anything he can do because he feels so useless. The immense contrast in his demeanor while wearing the suit and not wearing it isn't exclusively just a chemical like symbiote thing, that's not how withdrawal works and I never said it's just withdrawal and nothing else. Besides if you suddenly lose something that was chemically altering your mind to heighten your mood for that long, withdrawal is gonna happen, that's just how it works, that's why I'm bringing it up in the context of comparing it to addiction.
You seem to be reading into my comment that the symbiote is manufacturing all of Harry's emotions out of nowhere, when I specifically said it's heightening his emotions, not creating them. That's what makes the symbiote such a good villain in this game, it isn't just brainwashing everyone to act out of character, it makes problems the characters already have worse. It doesn't manufacture drama, it twists and heightens it.
@@The_Story_Of_Us The symbiote amplified Peter's mood because Peter was already had power. Harry did not - he was a normal human, and not only that, he was dying. The symbiote kept his disease in check.
Harry felt great because he was happy he was no longer dying - it had nothing to do with the symbiote affecting his personality.
The "withdrawal" Harry feels after he loses the symbiote is because his disease is returning and he is starting to die again, but it's because he thought that he was going to be a superhero and work with his best friend. Then that was taken away from him. Instead of jumping (this symbiote doesn't webswing) around the city and beating up bad guys, now he's stuck back at the office (or his home) and can't do any of that, and on top of that he's getting sicker. There are no literal withdrawal symptoms like the symbiote was a drug - its literally him missing being able to be a superhero. The only physical changes are because the symbiote is no longer keeping his disease in check. There are no physical withdrawal symptoms.
The symbiote was not "chemically altering your mind to heighten your mood". There's nothing in the game that says that. Harry's emotions weren't "heightened" by the symbiote, he was just happy to be alive (remember, for years he thought he was dying and would never get out of that tank) and to be a superhero.
"I literally pressed the parry button" yes but it won't work if you pressed dodge first and try to press it before the dodging is done, I'd suggest letting the enemies make the first attack and the hit back at them, only go on the offense if your in Symbiote Surge mode or all focus bars are filled. To answer your jumping issue consider these questions, did you press X hard enough, or was the timing of it not good, it's one or the other? Since your getting angry, this is what the game wants, to make you feel just as angry like Peter and Miles when fighting Mr. Negative and Kraven. Especially Kraven he's fighting with all he's got and wants you so angry that in your rage you'll kill him plus it's a little funny when dying in the 2nd phase involving the bell Kraven scream's "No" like it's his way of saying you were supposed to kill me, followed by frustrated growl when dying a second time in that phase
As for the dodging timing is key usually the spider sense turns red to describe as your last moment of time to dodge and just to go over the blue circled Crush Attacks that's a move to dodge from, I've got nothing much to say on the parry for Heavy Attacks from enemies because your doing very good. With L1 abilities some are ranged some are close up, like Symbiote Blast (L1+O) I call it a back off move useful when overwhelmed by groups of enemies and pushes them back, one of the best times to use that is after parrying a heavy attack, then web strike up to the foe and punch them
Always killin it with the cosplay Tofu! It suits very well with the MJ section in this episode!
